- I made this video in memory of Patricia Janečková on the day of her funeral.
It's so sad, she is only 25 years old, I have to do something.
So I made this video and dedicated it to Patricia, the only thing I can do.
At 25 years of age she should have had her whole life to live.
RIP beautiful Lady.

It wasn't until earlier this year that I heard of Maestra Janeckova's passing; the commercial TV networks in the United States of America are notorious for not making any mention of opera singers' deaths. I pray that this situation will change in the future. My condolences to Patricia's family and to the people of Slovakia.
This Angel was exceptionally talented already in her youth at twelve and developed into a best soprano in the universe just in six years. Milujem ťa navždy ❤❤❤.

This is a shock. Her life was stolen from her. My sister died of breast cancer, but she was 64 not 25. What a great tragedy. My prayers are for her family. Patricia is now with her Heavenly Father.

Younger women diagnosed with breast cancer have a higher mortality rate than middle aged women. This is because if a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer at a younger age it is more likely a genetically caused cancer which tend to be more aggressive and less responsive to treatments. Younger women die of breast cancer at about the same rate as elderly women. She was so beautiful and talented.
Gone but Not Forgotten - her music never stops playing - she sings with the Angels now.
So sad... I admired Paricia very much. I still remember the day I chose a song from the film Malá Morská Víla sung by Patricia.... So beautiful. Last October was a nightmare for me too. I was not on line. I'm so sorry. Patricia was an angel. She cared for ill people, always generous and humble. I'm from Argentina. "Sad hours seem long." My most heartfelt condolences to her family. P.S: I'll always think of Patricia as one of the most refined artists I've ever seen.

I'm crying now as I sit in my computer room watching this devastatingly sad video. 😭I first saw Patricia singing in that beautiful blue dress in the talent show when she was 12 years old. I cried then as I am now. I was 67 years old then and I have kept track of her music and videos ever since. I had my 80th birthday on 9/7 three weeks before Patka left us and it was on Oct. 2 when I first saw the terrible news. 😢
In America we have a saying; 'the good die young' and that was never more true than on Oct. 1. I am still in shock. My heart goes out to Patricia's family and her husband. 😰😥

This is a fitting tribute to a beautiful and wonderfully talented person. The past few days have been very emotional - I first saw a video showing Patricia’s wedding which made me so happy as I thought it was a signal of her recovery as I couldn’t read the non-English text and commentary. It lifted me. Then the RUclips algorithms did their thing and started presenting me videos that were frankly crushing. For a brief time I was thinking again, selfishly, how I could look forward to enjoying Patricia’s career resume its unstoppable rise to great heights, but it wasn’t to be.
We’re often told that a way to deal with such emotions is to focus on celebrating the life that has passed. I will try my best.
My thoughts are with those truly close to Patricia for their loss.
I completely agree with you. I also am crying as I watch and write this. She has been tragically martyred in the war that is called COVID. I prayed the Divine Mercy Chaplet for her today. She is in the arms of our Blessed Mother Mary, looking at the Face of our Lord, and singing to Him as only she can.

I absolutely agree. I only stumbled upon her existence about 3 hours ago. What an amazing voice : what a devastating loss to the world. Even more amazing was that we were in Prague at the time of her passing but, not speaking the language, I obviously didn't know what the local headlines were saying.

Thank you for doing this. My mother died of cancer in November 2022 but in August of that year introduced me to Patricia's exquisite voice and the shock of her own cancer diagnosis. It's such a shame that this burning flame was extinguished so young... Mum would have been heartbroken to learn of this.

It was almost two years ago in Tokyo. You suddenly stopped me from my RUclips surfing in the middle of a cold night. You were singing that Once Upon a Time in the West. You were only 14 then but your voice was just amazing. Patricia, you never die in my heart and never ever forget you. R.I.P.

This is a wonderful tribute to Patricia. It brought tears to my eyes. So young and beautiful, with so much talent. All I can say is, Patricia had such a beautiful voice. I am from Canada and my father and I discovered this beautiful young lady when she was 14 or 15 years old and were taken by her beautiful voice and angelic look. My father has passed and I decided to look at past videos we watched together. When I saw this I was stunned, I had no idea she had gotten sick with cancer. To find out she has passed away deeply saddens me as I had hoped to hear more from her. I'm sitting here still in shock and sadness. Thank you Patricia for blessing my father and I with your beautiful voice.

Twenty minutes ago I knew nothing about her life and story, her great talent. Now I sit here in tears, a man growing old who cannot ever understand how there can be any plan, any reason, comprehensible to humans to explain a universe that gives then cruelly takes away such beauty. It was a shock for me to hear of your departure. I am a musician and I had and still have great admiration for her. Today I try to understand why I was so shocked. I think that in addition to her vocal qualities, Patricia had a quality characteristic of great human beings: simplicity. I haven't met her personally, I just judge from her videos. The world did not just lose a great lyrical singer but a great human being.

I just learned of Patricia's passing this morning. I am on a bicycle tour, camped in the desert in the US. At about 1700 in Slovakia I played her singing "O Mio Babino Caro" from when she was a child. A songbird flew over to a bush next to me and started singing along. Somehow that seemed fitting. It brings me great sadness to say goodbye. Peace be with you Patricia.

I saw this video just now. I am deeply shocked to see that Patricia has passed away. I started to cry. She was so young, beautiful and talented. However, it is comforting that her talent was noticed early on and she got the opportunity to perform, sing and record at such a young age.

When I first saw the title of this video I could not believe that this beautiful young lady is gone. I have followed her performances on RUclips since she was a young girl and was entranced by her lovely voice and her smile when performing. The world and I have lost a unique human being. Such a beautiful voice and a charming young lady
Since i first became aware of her through her wonderful performance in Talent mania, I have spent many years listening to her whenever my soul needed uplifting. I will continue to do so for the rest of my life. Thank God there are plenty of performances on youtube to treasure. RIP Patricia.
What a beauty. I’m sorry for the husband and her families and for those who loved this talented singer. Mbut, she will never know the revenges of growing old and will always be remembered as a beautiful young woman. I can’t imagine she would want to be remembered as a ‘tragic figure’ of music. Let’s love her, remember her for her talent and whisper her name in our prayers.

Vivió por y para la música y hoy me entero de que falleció hace 7 meses, tenía conocimiento de su serio problema de salud y sus esperanzas en superarlo , pero trístemente no fué así .Se apagó esa voz angelical , pero nos deja sus grabaciones para el eterno recuerdo de su memoria.Que descanse en paz.
What words can comfort those who were close to her and loved her? From what I can see in this video it looks like she packed a lot of living into the years she was here and left us with more beauty than most people ever have or ever will. This was a wonderful tribute to her life and talent and I thank you for sharing it.

Me embelezó su voz y su frescura, su calidez y su interpretación magestuosa... empecé a leer los comentarios y me enteré de que es un ángel que brilla en el firmamento, me puse a ver más y más videos y a llorar por su partida. An angel…Patricia was an angel! Her effortless voice transcended languages, time and space. It’s hard to conceive that such a beautiful soul is no longer among us. I think about every musician that had the honor to witness her…every child who was part of a choir to sing with her…every soul that saw her and listened to her singing…they were touched by an angel…I’ve been touched by an angel❤❤ RIP 🙏🏼
When I first heard Patricia, her voice, I thought that an angel had descended from heaven to melt the ice in people’s hearts! I listened to her both in the morning and before bed. It was a balm for my soul... It’s a pity that such a talent was taken away untimely to heaven! But Patricia will live for a long time in the hearts of connoisseurs of her talent!

How sad that someone so young with that kind of voice and so much talent had her life cut short. I just found out a few minutes ago, I didn't even know she had cancer. I didn't know her, but I loved, loved, LOVED, listening to her sing on youtube. My most profound sympathies to her family and friends. What a shock! I am 80 years young and just found out on my 80th birthday that she had passed away. A Beautiful voice and I am sure that all the angels are listening to her.
