31 Day Challenge 2023: Pirate Borg

Can I make 31 characters-one for each day in December? I'm gonna give it a try! Not only that, I'll make a video for each one and give each game an "unreview."
The rules are:
1) I have to like it,
2) I have to have bought it, and
3) I must do my best to use E-Prime, a linguistic tool that forbids me from using the verb "to be."

Its a great little game. Loads of fun details, a huge amount of GMing resources, hell, the "starter" adventure is larger than many full-on paid adventure modules (and has enough hooks to be expanded into a full campaign)

My favorite pirate game so far, the shanties mechanics, there is no extra pages IMO. If you want to play Pirates of the Caribbean vs Cthulhu and instead of rum running, you can be an Ash runner :D

While I do like Pirate Borg a lot and we do own it. I have to say 7th Sea is still our favourite Pirate Game and we have recorded 24 episodes in our Season 01. But two thumbs up for Pirate Borg too as it is cool.

I liked a lot of what this game did, and was a bit fascinated by all of the things that they changed about our world for the game. There are some impressive themes below the surface, and while I'm not into the OSR style game, there is a lot of good stuff in this book. It's worth the price of admission to just geek out to this book.
