Cool System. DSA (the dark eye) has something very similar: you can buy advantages or get generation-points by taking disadvantages among them traits like "lustful" or "curiosity" in varying amounts and the GM let's you roll on them. "Courage" is an attribute that every character has and that the GM can let you roll on as well (you are hearing sounds outside in the dark night - I, the scout, am investigating - only if you roll under your courage). In earlier editions every character had traits by default them being: Superstition Vertigo Claustrophobia Fear of the (un)dead Curiosity Greed Violent temper Just so I understand your system correctly: If I have a 16 in chaste the GM can let me roll where my character is tempted by horny? Or only when high chaste would be a disadvantage?
@@JohnWickPresents i know ! I’ve played So much Pendragon, actually the First ttrpg i’ve played ( back in the day in France, D&D was not that popular 😁) but i was thanking you for bringing this great piece of game history . Cheers
Thanks John!❤
Thanks John! I appreciate the very useful thingywhatsit in the dooblydoo ;-)
Personally I love personality traits in RPGs!

thanks ! this game mechanic is , in my opinion , one the best i’ve ever seen , pure genius 😊
I cannot take any credit for it. The Great and Mighty Greg Stafford came up with it.

Always thought of nicking stuff from Pendragon for other games. Mischievious/Serious would be a fun pair to add. Maybe Flippant/Persistent.
That's the beauty of it! You can add whatever Traits you like!
