If I was ever in a particularly vile mood as a kid I would occasionally make her fall repeatedly throughout the entire routine, just to see her inexplicably anticipating an award of anything above the 0.0 that she would ultimately be served with.

Yes!! Another amazing Commodore gem. My brother and I played this, Summer Games, World Games, and Caveman Ugh-lympics on solid rotation. It was also how I learned the flags and national anthem of countries as a kid! ;)

Certainly a nice trip down memory lane seeing this. I’m glad I at least had the 1541 disk drive to go with my breadbox C64; while still slow compared to today’s hard drives, it was a good deal faster than tape.
They sure knew how to make games that made us buy joysticks every other month. Winter and summer games, skate and ski or die, Dragon's lair ect. ect. ect. They were joystick killers.
I was walking with my parents by a shopping mall, saw this game on a computer shop and ruined my parents existence for 1 month until they bought me the C64!
There's a fun glitch in this game where during the Figure Skating event, if you crash/kneel immediately and constantly, you'll get a perfect score.. possibly due to the permanent damage on the crushed knee bones or a negative 1 yields a score-wrap? You be the judge.
OMG we had that! My younger cousin, about 4-5 years old at the time, insisted he wanted to play, and his round consisted of him falling constantly. He got a perfect score, and nobody was able to replicate the glitch. 30 years later it's his initials still set up as the highest score.
wow I thought I was the only one who knew that glitch. I found it by mistake when I fell on the first jump (i think i tried an axel) so I just kept making myself fall until the event was over. It came up solid 6's. best glitch ever.
@@DW11111 same. I think I just got frustrated with the figure skating because no matter what I did i'd get a sub 5 score so I just made her kneel for the whole time. I think there were 2 figure skating events. Not sure if this worked on both.

i used to want a double casette deck so badly back in the day, my friend had one so i used to get copies from him but i always wanted one for myself. Remember the loading errors sometimes. You would rewind the tape back a bit and press play again to reload that corrupt part again hopefully. lol

Sometimes I adore the pixel graphics of older games more than the polished high quality graphics of todays games.
it's literally pixel by pixel handmade art, nowadays it's just about shaping a model
