The combination of the figuring and what I consider the perfectly colored cherry sunburst, so beautiful.

I have been looking forward to this episode for the last few months and am sad to hear it will probably be the last time you do this. I would have thought a man of your means would already have a dedicated place in his house, a man cave to display The Permanent Collection. I understand that’s a lot of work, keeping them all in cases. This is always my favorite episode of the year and have watched all the others, each year, amazed. I watch every day, all year, so if my vote counts at all, please do this episode every year, or make it easy on yourself and build out your trophy room.

Hello Hello From Canada!!! Thank you for sharing with us all. This is one of the episodes I look forward to the most since I started watching Trogly's Guitar Show. You sharing these beauties have made me search documentations that I missed and might not see without you showing them now. You cancelling this is like your Grandmother cancelling the "Family Christmas Get Together". It could be a catastrophic mistake that could cause the demise of our guitar family. Happy New Year everyone! Been looking forward to this episode. I think the Mustaine V's would sell better if A. They were about 2K less, and B. If they DIDN'T have anything "Dave Mustaine" on them. Make 2023 great!
They are basically a reissue of the Flying V XPL series from 1984-87 which didn't sell well back then at a fraction of the cost. I tried to order a M2m Flying V from Gibson with the Explorer headstock and 3 pickups but they wouldn't do it because they want to sell off all the overpriced overstock Mustaine Vs first. There is a players grade 1985 Flying V XPL for sale on reverb out of Detroit but it's missing it's original hard case if your interested. It's color is Plum Wineburst.
@@FrehleyBurst9-1878 It sounds like the Mustaine V's are just not selling well then? I'd absolutely buy one, but I don't like all the Dave crap on it, especially not being a fan of his at all. Even a guy like Alex Lifeson, who I love, only has his unreadable signature on the truss rod cover of his Gibson LP, and I can remove that if I want to
Nah, the Mustaine name is the ONLY reason they DO sell occasionally. The issue is the price is ridiculous and the QC might as well be non existent on them. I wouldn't be surprised if the ones Trogly got were THE best examples. They have anlot of issues.

I'm not a huge Strat fan but that wood grain one at the beginning of the video is beautiful.
The Union Jack on the body of the Explorer has the diagonal red stripes going the wrong way, The headstock has the flag going the right way. I'll never be able to unsee that haha.

You have by far earned a signature Gibson Run. Some killer Norlin era LP build with all the things you like. You should be a brand ambassador at this point if they aren’t paying you they should be. Thanks for all the reviews, this is my daily therapy before I sit down to play.
That is a lot of inventory you definitely need to start your museum now. Just find a contractor to build you a special wall to put your guitars on display so you can always walk into a room and look at them and admire them and even grab one to play if you feel like it.
Thank you for doing this! It took a lot of effort but we appreciate seeing such a diverse display of examples, new and old!

If i was given the chance to choose only one I'd pass out and ending up not choosing any. Now for real, this channel was one of my favourites discoveries this year! Top content every day e just something that is too good ti be true. As a designer I love art and as a guitarrist I love guitars and this channels makes the mix I was a long time searching for. Congratulations! I would pay good money to visit the museum! (Im european may wait for a long time but hope that the day arrives)

Glad to see you have one of the SG Baritones. Yours is immaculate! I have one I bought new, though it sadly has stand rash on the back, and it’s beginning to yellow in spots. Still my favorite guitar, and surprisingly versatile despite its baritone design.

The blue leather couches are very grippy. They literally make a ripping sound when you take them off haha. The brown couch, yes, very slippery- that’s why I laid them down more haha

What a collection! I only have 18 guitars, and only 4 Gibson's, and I love them all! I really want a tobacco sunburst Les Paul custom, that would be my ultimate guitar!
