There were some hints other than the candle and the tree, but honestly, the show didn't make you think about it until Cobel asked, "Does he ever feel like he sees her?" Also, this is not a spoiler about Cobel's intentions because nothing is confirmed at all after the season ends, but she has also been leaving hints. She's been doing things that go against the usual procedure. Milchik has questioned her as much as he's allowed because of the chain of command (and little by little, even acting without consulting Cobel). And it all looks like as you said, she's trying to see if they're reintegrated. But not after a procedure like Pidy's. She's trying to see if she can trigger reintegration by exposing severed people to familiar subjects (likely with a strong attachment). But while it seems like she's testing Mark, I think she's been testing Casey as she was "Trying something new" with her, per words to Milchick. She seems to be the sole person in a "power position" who believes reintegration is possible to begin with. And to me, she's far more interested in that fact than making sure the company and the severed employees stay on the right track. At the start of Episode 6, when she's "praying" in front of that "shrine" she builds you can see hints of what might be her motivation behind proving reintegration is possible. But her intentions aren't clear. Also from the get-go, she's clearly upset about not being able to meet "The Board" in person, but what seems like "She feels undermined by them not treating her more like an equal" according to her job position, to "She's desperate to know who the fuck is the board". There are some good videos with theories about what S2 might hold in store. They are worth watching just to grasp the possibilities of where the show may be going. In one of them for example, they have the theory about Helly's progression in clothing being a reward from her outtie the less rebellious the innie seems to be towards the idea of being stuck in the workplace.
-Mark saying he loved all her qualities "equally" just the same way she told Irving to like his outtie's facts. -Even being severed mark still sculpted a tree out of the clay during his session with gemma. Epic reveal indeed.
@@boakyejr Gemma supposedly dies in a car accident with a tree involved, Marks outie goes to that tree in the previous episode. His innie then sculpts a tree out of clay.
@@avijoon6334 Also OMark was pointing out the most random facts about Gemma the same way in the session with Irving she tells him about the most random facts about his outie
The reaction to Milchik and the Musical Dance Experience was fucking great, one of my favorite scenes But the reveal at the end is the real prize, I love seeing people hit with one of the best plot twists I've seen in a show
Irving is the person who followed the rules religiously, which is why the moment he flipped in this episode, I remember being so hyped that I didn't wait to watch the next episode 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
You guys got me start watching Severance. I started as soon as y’all started posting on RUclips. This show is just amazing! Some of the most epic reveals just hits you left and right 🔥
As Dylan points out, it's crazy how lax the security system is INSIDE the severed floor. They literally put everything like message detection and shit into the only way out of the basement : the elevator. Everything inside is free game, there's only 3 people surveiling this floor, and Milchick does pretty much all the work. Lumon was so convinced that the severance procedure and brainwashing of the innies would stop any chance at rebellion that they left this floor without any reinforced security. It only took a silly book full of generic life advice, Helly being willing to kill herself to get the fuck out, and a few slip-ups here and there like Milchick activating Dylan outside of work for the innies to be like fuck this, we're out. The only thing Lumon truly had against them was the illusion that they were constantly being watched. Once this illusion was shattered, they started rebelling. Love this show.
I had watched Andor before I started Severance, so I had the exact same thought. The prison being understaffed, but intimidation and surveillance project their power. Power doesn't panic.
@@sangun123 It's still ineffective and shows their certainty and arrogance in the fact that, since they own everything, no one's gonna go against them, least of all people who are severed and whose only knowledge of the world is what Lumon ingrained in them, and shows that their system is exceptionnally fragile if the tiniest spark of rebellion can begin to unravel all of it.
@ I completely forgot about her character till I saw the finale. While watching the ending for Ep7 I thought she was just a dead wife and paid no mind to it.
I absolutely love this show. It’s easily in my top 5 seasons of television. Westworld s1, ozark s1, better call Saul/breaking bad, severance. It’s a perfect season of television. God I hope season 2 doesn’t disappoint. Please god don’t let them screw this show.
I ironically started watching this show a week ago, I’ve already finished but I was happy to see yall started reacting to it around the same time. Going on this journey together is dope lol
I will never stop saying this! Sheera is always ahead of the game! I also love it when something finally clicks for Lupa, mans gotta get up to take a waok everytime😂
roshi needs to make sure to track sheera's past because her knowledge about getting away with crime is too deep. He might be married to Natasha Romanova
Cobell living next door to Mark S. & watching him more than the other innies has to have some significance to his wife. What if Ms. Casey “wanted” this?
i think Cobels problem with the board is she doesnt like the way they are taking the company. because earlier irving told burt a line from The Eagan Philosophy and burt said hes more of an old testament kind of guy basically theyve changed the original word of Kier. i think Cobel is also a old testament kind of person.
So when you guys said that Ms. Casey is just an innie, do you guys imply that there isn’t an outtie of her because speculation can be given from the car crash she could be in a vegetative state, and that the innie given gave back some personality but not enough because of what happened?
What they think (And I feel they on the right track) is that since she's dead (vegetative is still dead in many cases) she doesn't have an outie personality that would transfer a sense of personality to the innie. They're spot on that Casey seems to be like the more "robotic" out of all the people severed the show has presented.
@@shadycactus7896 you're thinking it from our knowledge of "vegetative state". What if severance allows to intervene the brain in a way that allows to recover the consciousness and therefor functionality of the body? I think that's what's going on with subjects like Casey (Because she's likely not the only one). And my theory is that Cobel is trying to see if it's possible to somehow leak/awake the outtie personality in a innie state. That's why she schedule a wellness session with Mark while using Gemma candel. Or why she put her to supervise Helly in the same space as Mark
I'm sorry, please try to enjoy each plot reveal equally, and not show preference for any over the others. That's 10 points off you have 90 points remaining.

Epic reveal indeed! If you all haven't watched Dollhouse or Altered Carbon, Dichen Lachman is great in both.
