    I absolutely love how you wrap your cap-tubes in vinyl. Great video, as always 👍🏽

      One of the guys I work with came up with the idea and it works well.

      good idea to help keep them from being kinked so easily and of course protecting from rubouts

      We pretty well change capillary tubes every time we change a compressor or an evaporator. It was kind of mystical at first but now it's just standard practice for our company. Thanks for checking it out👍👍

      @marcelo9445 4 года назад +1

      HVACR Survival I have a tendency of overheating the cap and it breaks off in the evaporator 😂

    • @HVACRSurvival
      @HVACRSurvival  4 года назад +1

      @@marcelo9445 I put most of my heat on the thicker base metal, and when I'm installing a new cap t, I will raise my temp to where the base mental about melts the rod, then I put the rod where the flame can hit and melt it, normally you shouldn't do it that way when brazing in a normal fitting but the mass of the cap t is so small as it is, it works out fine.

    My capillary tube is ice cold but my 12v fridge stays hot .does that sound like a capillary tube blockage ?

    when using the flush chem's are you shooting some, letting it set, then flushing more and following with enough nitrogen purge afterwards?
    some of them coils can be a bugger to get it all back out and leave the crud in there if you don't double flush with dissolve wait time.
    maybe even flush 3+ times.

    I want to know when i put the thermostat on low position the compressor cools down short period and does not overheat ghe fridge is cooling but not building frost at highest temperature settings it runs long and overheats. The fridge is cooling and builds frost, There is freon in it no leak what do u think is the problem

    Nice work 👍
    2 questions if I may :
    1_How did you get the capillary tube size , they told me you can use a special tool that gives you sizes with like a needle or something like that but I've never seen it
    2_ why do they wrap the cap tube around the accumulator or a lot of times the small factory drier , I don't quite understand what it does ( I mean on the drier maybe kinda helping with subcool and even then , meh )
    Thank you sir !

    • @HVACRSurvival
      @HVACRSurvival  4 года назад +1

      Generally our parts person calls The factory and finds out the size and the length of the capillary tube. Yes there is a gauge made by JB that you can use and I have one but it's a lot easier to just know exactly what the factory uses. There's a great article on how capillary tubes work and I will try to find it and post a link. The reason why I wrapped it around the accumulator was to get the heat transfer that I lost by not strapping it to the suction line as it came into the cooler.

    Hi Do you recommend the uei Compressor analyzer ?

    • @HVACRSurvival
      @HVACRSurvival  4 года назад

      It's a little expensive looking but it seems like it would work fine. I have never used it personally. basically with that one you use your electrical meter to get your voltage readings off of the test points that they have pre-made made for you. Which seems kind of nice,

    What pressures are you using on the oxygen and acetylene?

    • @HVACRSurvival
      @HVACRSurvival  4 года назад

      It depends on the tip size, I normally use a number 2 for about everything, I try to make it close to equal, 5-10psi. The rosebud, captain hook and the other 2 flame tip nozzle all use different pressures that I usually have to look up, otherwise, I can knock out my flame, then the flashback arrestors get tested.

    I always thought the r 11 flush prevents cap tube from plugging?

    • @HVACRSurvival
      @HVACRSurvival  4 года назад +1

      It's supposed to, but I'm going back on a compressor and cap tube change that had extremely low suction when I was done, I even trimmed the cap tube, it didn't make it much better, now I got to go back and change the cap tube again. So I can't help but think that it's like picking at a scab, sometimes it makes it worse.
