My 880 kept stopping and showing a bobbin error but no information. I kept cleaning and changing it, but with your video, I tried the little tool (I've hand my machine for more than 2 years; it worked perfectly. Thank you!!
Thank you so much Shelly, I have a 880 as well and I did not know how to use this tool, a little video is much better than a black and white design in a book.
I just used your video to help me fix my 880. Got a bunch of top thread in the bobbin and could not get it out. Your video saved me -- and my embroidery project. Thank you!
Thank you. I hadn't ever had a need to use this tool, since I went thru my 830 Mastery classes. Your video helped to resolve my problem and keep me stitching on my Christmas gifts. Woo hoo, back in the saddle again.
Thank you Shelly! I have my 880 ordered I should get it this week, I am so excited! Your videos ease my fear's of the unknown please keep the video's coming. I can't wait to get it & learn everything I can about it.
Hi again Shelly. So I also have a 880 SE with very low hours/stitches on it. I just got it out when I was having issues with the B880. Same problem with the bobbin door. When I open or close the bobbin door the bobbin does not spin out. The only way to make it spin back in or out is by using the hand wheel.
Thank you thank you thank you! This video is so helpful. I thought I might have thread in my bobbin case but it turns out the problem was elsewhere but at least now I know :-)
Hello. I have a very old Bernina Record machine and the thread keeps nesting on the underside. I have rethreaded the machine and the bobbin multiple times. Still, the problem exists. The thread tension is set in the middle, the needle (70) is new, the bobbin and spool thread are identical. There is no loose thread in the bobbin area. What else can I try? Please help! I need to make masks for the healthcare workers. Thank you.
@@SewShelly Thank you. I actually was able to correct the issue by simply oiling and repeatedly opening and closing the access door. I know sometimes these machines can be a little temperamental. I assume my Bernina sensed me being temperamental and decided to give in.
This wasn't covered during my mastery classes. Thanks for providing this information!
Shelly, this is the BEST video that shows using this tool. I never could figure it out until I watched this. Thank you sew much~
I guess it is kinda off topic but do anyone know of a good website to watch new movies online ?
@Canaan Adriel flixportal :D

Thankyou for showing that how to use information. I never quite knew where to poke around. Your video clearly showed where we need to be.

Thank you so much. I knew what the tool was but not how to use it. The manual is not really clear in that point. Love your videos!
Thanks, Shelly for this video. You showed me this when I was visiting several years ago when I had my 830 and it worked great.

Be sure to look at my other video on how to clean thread out from the bobbin area. That could cause it to not open and close in the normal way.
Excellent close up most comprehendible videos of anyone. Where to do I obtain that bobbin cleaning tool. ?
This tool should have come with your machine. YOu would get a replacment from your BERNINA dealer.
Excellent video. Thank you for sharing this. I didn't find this information in my manual.
Thank you Shelly
Thank you you learn something everyday
Thank you thank you thank you! This video is so helpful. I thought I might have thread in my bobbin case but it turns out the problem was elsewhere but at least now I know :-)
Excellent!
What happens when you can get the bobbin to turn with the handwheel?
OMG this tutorial saved my life, thank you so much 😃
Hurray! So glad it was helpful.
How do you take off the takeup lever face plate
Check out the video on Threading the 880 and you will be able to see how to open and what tool to use. ruclips.net/video/poP8PazqffI/видео.html
Be sure to look at my other video on cleaning a thread out of the 8 series bobbin. It represents where most thread is caught in my experience.
Thank you! 👏
I get threads caught in the crack between the dots.Is there a way to get them out? The tool is too thick to fit in there.
I don't have one. How can I purchase one?
You can get one ordered through your BERNINA Dealer.

Be sure to have your presser foot up when you are threading so that the thread is in the tension disks and take up lever. Other than I am not sure.
Thank you! My B880 when I open or close the access to bobbin door the outer metal bobbin assembly spins. Do you know what would cause this?
Give your Dealers tech a call. This is a question for them. Mine did that and I got a new sensor installed and was ready to go again.

@@suzannedell6829 Great! Don't be surprised or discouraged if you need a new sensor in the future.
Be sure to look at my other video on cleaning thread out of the 8 series bobbin. It specifically addresses thread caught and how to remove it.
