  • In this video I show how to easily diagnosed a faulty Exhaust Camshaft Position Actuator Solenoid that brought on fault codes P0013 & P0014, by following these step by step instructions you will be able to follow along and check yours including the intake solenoid, the vehicle I worked on was a Holden Captiva but this is the same method across the GM range with time of timing actuator solenoid used.
    Related fault codes that are common for Variable Valve Timing are P0010 P0011 P0012 P0013 P0014 P0015 P0028

    This video demonstrates that with some simple comparison testing (intake solenoid) without any deep investigation we can easily diagnose this vehicles fault with 100% certainty.

    Our mechanic threw tons of parts at the car and I brought the car back not fixed. This fixed the issue! Thanks so much!! The exhaust did not respond to power and had high ohms.
