Very emotional, when you realize, they wasted the audience's time, nerfed Loki, in order to play out this storyline. Most of the show was unnecessary and a waste of time. Ironic, because that's all they talk about...and they wasted much time.🤷‍♂️

      *Loki* *2x6* *Glorious* *Purpose* 🔁
So they named it exactly like the very first episode as if it's a time loop? And this was like the Groundhog Day/Edge of Tomorrow episode that some of us theorized? Loki is now the God of Time? It felt like a *series* finale and what a way to end it without having any collateral damage except Loki. It's Loki's Iron Man in Endgame moment.
Sean Chandler initially did not like this series or let's say it was mid and forgettable to him. Neither did Tyrone Magnus. Tyrone was a little more harsh with S1. Loki can be a little too confusing at times which I'll happily admit. Nothing is perfect. But I knew over 2 years ago, this was the best MCU series on Disney+ because I kept rewatching it like Back to the Future, Bill & Ted, and Hot Tub Time Machine. Better than WandaVision which I also enjoyed.
Loki has only confirmed to me again it's my favorite MCU project ever made. I personally wish this is it. This is the end. They make a Season 3, and they can ruin it like Mando S3 did to the 2x8 finale. I wanted it to focus on Loki since he's the titular character and they did that. For me, the greatest twist was seeing He Who Remains again and Loki outsmarting him. Thought that entire sequence with HWR was great.
I really don't know what more I can say about this episode? It ends like Michael Jordan hitting a game winner in Utah for a championship in 1998 and riding off into the sunset.. until he came back 3 years later to play in DC and 1998 was no longer his fairytale ending. I finally watched Killers of the Flower Moon and Priscilla yesterday and while they're both good films, Loki's S2 finale was far more pleasing to watch.
I do believe if Loki does really end after two seasons, we still have the opportunity to see many of these characters and the TVA in future MCU projects. Miss Minutes is reborn. Renslayer is in the Void and it's still up in the air what her fate is. Where's Victor during the final minutes? Cool to see two variants of Kang in the same episode. The irony that Loki ends the day The Marvels comes out. Opposite spectrums in quality.
*Killers* *of* *the* *Flower* *Moon* */* *Priscilla*
Killers of the Flower Moon (2023): B+
      Priscilla (2023): B-
I would rank KotFM as my 10th favorite Scorsese film. I still like Casino, Goodfellas, The Wolf of Wall Street, After Hours, Taxi Driver, The Aviator, Shutter Island, and The Departed more. And maybe Mean Streets. Grace Randolph was correct that KotFM was more Gangs of New York than Goodfellas as that first hour can drag. But it got better the last two hours and the acting from Leo, Bobby D, and Lily were all superb.
I gave Priscilla a lower grade but at only 110 minutes, I probably would rather rewatch that than KotFM. Sofia Coppola can make very slow burning movies where there is very little dialogue (Lost In Translation) and you're watching what they're doing. But Cailee and Jacob were fantastic in it. It makes a nice double feature with Elvis (2022) as they can enhance each other.
So the next 2023 films I want to see...
      The Killer
      Napoleon (the short, dead dude!)
      The Bikeriders
      Poor Things
      The Iron Claw
I recently added The Killer and The Iron Claw. I'm not a Zac Efron fan, but his wrestling movie looks interesting and I enjoyed The Wrestler (2008). And The Killer comes out for Netflix today, so that's an easy watch for me. See? I'm not all about superheroes and Star Wars crap.
All is not completely lost with Disney MCU and Star Wars. Loki and Andor are very good even with the lower viewership. Andor will only get two seasons as well. Quality doesn't mean popularity and vice-versa.

      4. Victor Timely
      5. Classic Loki
      6. Miss Minutes
      7. Renslayer
      8. He Who Remains
      9. Sylvie
      10. Casey
In Science/Fiction, I didn't feel any of the cast were friends. But in the finale when we see Mobius and Sylvie talking outside his home for a minute, it did feel like they were friends. And B-15 grew on me. She seems like a cool and reliable character. Loki sacrificed himself like Classic Loki did.
The line that always stuck with me is what Renslayer said in 1893...
"I put the TVA above myself. Even at the costs of my own happiness."
That line kept looping in my head BEFORE I saw the finale. It's foreshadowing at what Loki would become. I just love how Gugu said TVA. The last syllable was hearing a millisecond of regret for working her ass for it for eons. Renslayer became a great character and I hope to see more of her in other MCU projects not titled Loki.
After the finale, I personally don't want a Loki Season 3. I wouldn't mind an S3 because I love the characters and TVA but why not end it on top? The longer it goes, the more diluted it becomes. Some great projects needs to end. Show the words THE END like in Back to the Future Part III. Don't milk it for two more sequels that Indiana Jones did. Put a bow on Loki 🎀.
Kevin Wright revealed in an interview with Collider. "I would say Season One and Season Two were developed and created as, like, kind of two chapters of the same book. We felt pretty strongly, all of us involved, that Season Two was about closing that book but that there are many other books on the shelf for this character and for this world. But this felt like it wanted to be the conclusion of these great things that we set up in Season One. We don't want to constantly leave people with drastic cliffhangers for our finales."
We know how Disney works. They're capable of milking anything for money and then burning everything to the ground that was once great. They can still revisit Loki in 5 years after Secret Wars is released. Or perhaps do tons of spin-offs. But TV ratings were so low like Andor, it might be like Freaks and Geeks which didn't last long.
What made the S2 finale work for me was it was trying to rewrite the timeline, set up future projects, and still give us a satisfying conclusion to the titular character. I know some may complain on what happened to Renslayer and Victor? How it sorta fell apart and ended too abruptly. But the series was never about them. If it's called Loki, it should be about Loki and his journey. Don't do what The Book of Boba Fett, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Mando S3, and Ahsoka did.
I think they need to leave some Loki characters' story arcs more opened ended in case they want to do a spin-off, another season, or perhaps them appearing in a future MCU project. Not everyone's story needs to be explained. But I hear they may try to retcon from Kang's Avengers films thanks to Jonathan Majors' legal trouble and pivot towards Doctor Doom? It looks to me that Ravonna Renslayer is going to meet Rama-Tut seeing that pyramid.
If Loki 2x6 Glorious Purpose truly is THE END for the series, I will still loop 🔁 all 12 episodes constantly. It's my favorite TV show since peak Family Guy or perhaps since early 90s Married... with Children circa Season 5. Loki became my most favorite thing for TV in 30 years. It's my Back to the Future/Bill & Ted of the 2020s.

Loki: "I am Loki of Asgard, and I am *burdened* *with* *glorious* *purpose."*
Thor in Ragnarok: "Loki, I thought the world of you. I thought we were gonna fight side-by-side forever, but at the end of the day, you're you and I'm me. I don't know, maybe there's still some good in you. But let's be honest: our paths diverged a long time ago."
Loki in Loki 2x5 Science/Fiction: "I can rewrite the story."
Mobius in Loki 2x6 Glorious Purpose: “Most purpose is more burden than glory, trust me you never want to be the guy who avoids it because you can’t live with the burden.”
Emmett Brown in BTTF3: “It means your future hasn't been written yet. No one's has! Your future is whatever you make it. So make it a good one!”
Loki in 1x1 *selfishly* *wanted* a throne. By 2x6 with the same name for the episode, he *selflessly* *needed* a throne to save everyone and give them their free will.

      www.marvel.com/articles/tv-shows/loki-and-mobius-goodbye-episode-6
“I think structurally we felt as soon as Loki gets back into the Temporal Core control room, the story's got to pick up, and you're going to move into this fully different thing. There's no time to stop down and have that sort of goodbye with Mobius,” Executive Producer Kevin Wright explains to Marvel.com. “When you start talking about, OK, we need to carve out some way that we can get somewhere and have a goodbye with Mobius. And Mobius doesn't know it's a goodbye. Literally, in his timeline, he's just meeting this guy. But to Loki, this is the goodbye.”
Head Writer Eric Martin viewed the scene as one last time for these characters to have one of their tried-and-true conversations across a table. “Loki already knows what he's going to do. He already knows what he has to do. So, when you sit down to write that, it's just like, all right, we have to have him express where he is right now and get what he needs out of Mobius, but he's engaging emotionally, too.”
As Wright notes, unlike the scene in Season 1 Episode 1, the script is flipped on the integration this time, as it’s Loki who’s asking Mobius all sorts of questions. It’s at this point that Loki, and viewers, learn Mobius’ own origin story with the TVA and some of the hard choices he’s had to make over the years. Loki, staring down his own hard choice, needs to hear some of these things himself.
“That was always really important, revealing more about Mobius than maybe we ever realized in two seasons, what his past was, and it was sort of then a flip of that season one interrogation, where it was so antagonistic, and this time it's Loki going back to try to get advice on how to handle a really difficult situation,” Wright continues. “This Mobius doesn't even realize that's the conversation he's having.”
The two men talk for a bit, but it can’t last forever. Loki asks about what it’s like to make hard decisions, and eventually, Mobius tells Loki exactly what he needs to hear: “Most purpose is more burden than glory, trust me you never want to be the guy who avoids it because you can’t live with the burden.”
With tears in his eyes, Loki shakes Mobius’ hand and says thank you before he slips away, again. If you’re emotional, know that that emotion you’re seeing between the two men on screen is real.
“It's a special thing, because Tom and Owen, they have a real connection on screen,” Martin adds. “That chemistry is there. It's there in person. They work so well together. I think it's touching for everybody on set because you're just feeling a little bit of magic. It's the last magic that everybody will see.”
Hiddleston knows that what he’s got with Wilson as a scene partner is special, and that’s what makes this goodbye so much harder. “Owen is kind of elevated the whole series, he’s so intelligent and imaginative and witty. Mobius and Loki are kind of an odd couple but, they found a friendship. They make each other better.”

I actually have a different take after this season finale.
He Who Remains lives to put any Kang version at bay by ending the reality of that version if he becomes too powerful. Without him, the realities dont really die, there will just be chaos among the Kang fighting for supremacy.
With Loki replacing replacing HWR, it could mean Kevin Feige is doing away with Avengers Kang Dynasty. Loki will make the tough decisions to prune timelines if necessary. That means no Kang uprising. No Kangs from different realities means no Avengers The Kang Dynasty. Not unless something happens to Loki that unleashes this possibility.
But I really wanna see Loki & Thor see each other again. Thor would be so proud of what his brother has become.

    Favorite Loki Characters
    1. Loki
    2. Mobius
    3. O.B.

No, its literally his arc in the comics. He beocmes the God of Stories. He is destined to sit on the throne beyond the edge of time. In the comics he will become the only God who can defeat the multiversal beings the Beyonders who literally delete universes. He is also set to actually assemble the new Avengers if I recall correctly.

Hello, Tessa. This show is far from perfect. The show has moments, but overall, most of the material is a waste of time. That is truly hilarious, because both seasons especially season 2, talk about time. Yet, time and time again they waste the audience's time...the few that watched, because the ratings were in the dumpster. The few good scenes in the finale , Kang scenes and Loki scene at the end, could have been relegated to flashbacks. There was absolutely no need to spend an entire season on this stuff. While Loki's finale is better than that TRASH movie - The Marvels, it wasn't great. They need to do better, which is why they canceled many of their projects. This train wreck won't be fixed until the end of Phase 5 or Phase 6. Projects flopping and underperforming should be a wake up call, not a sign to stay asleep.
