I bought the jabra elite 75t and only lasted 4 months till they started fluttering volume lowering and no response from jabra to fix, so I went with Sony wh1000xm3 and have had no serious issues only with calls but I use for travel to work and sounds great
is the jabra 75t better than the sony wf m3?
Thanks for the tip about the software update. I was all set to exclude the Jabra from my consideration because I’ll be using it for calls a lot and will need to switch sides as batteries drain. I get less than 3 hours with my AirPods now.
i don't know why they didn't do the individual/independent mode... that was a big let down for me.
This is indeed a dealbreaker... no matter how attractive they look...it's important to be able to just use one earpiece and rotate when the battery dies like AirPods...
Bought these today and if anyone is wondering about the latency with the WF-1000XM3 and the Samsung Note 10+ its the same as in this video. I actually downloaded the same app and tested it out. But watching Netflix has, to me, no latency (probally due to the app delaying video to align with sound). And to me it seems to be an Android issue. Yesterday I compared my Bose QC35 II between my iPad Pro and my Note 10+, and there is a big difference in latency, where the iPad Pro has next to none latency and Note 10+ is noticable.

I am not happy with the current call quality as it captures all the background noise (on version 1.28 at least)I'm thinking about returning them but I'm very reluctant because I'm happy with the sound quality and how it fits. In Canada, the WF-1000XM3 are $300 vs $240 for the 75t. That's a huge price difference and I'm not sure the the sound quality on the Sony's are $60 dollars better! Most of us are listening to compressed files off of phones, so lets not get it twisted audiophiles!!

It actually has one great benefit. You can change the battery without breaking your earbuds / buying a new after 1 year.
Wish the sonys had sweat/water resistance and some sort of wing or extra stability then there would be no point to opt for the jabras

Great vid Aaron! I have both and find myself using the Jabra 75t a lot more than the Sonys. The fit is far better, and like you I prefer the stronger bass on the Jabra. Looking forward to the update you mentioned and also wireless charging case.

Repurchased the wf-1000XM3 2 days ago, i was an early adopter in august but ended up disappointed and returned them but with all the last updates those last 7 months....i am much more happier now.
I am glad Jabra will propose a wireless and right or left earbuds connection via a later firmware update.
Also Jabra Elite 75 has i believe multipairing connectivity hope it will come one day to the sony's too.
Some competition never hurts...
Overall the new Jabra seems very solid (better battery life, more compact,low profile,much better fit) ...

Also 2nd time i bought them refurbished so about 50% retail price that helped my re purchase decision

Took the Jabra Elite 75t's back. They just aren't very good for phone calls, unless it's in a quiet environment.
Ben Nicholls I have the 75t’s as well and totally agree with a noisy background coming in just as loud as your voice on the other end. The only reason why I haven’t took them back is because I keep hearing only the Air Pods are better at blocking out loud background noise. Did you find an alternative yet?

85ts are not worth it over 75 active ts & quietcomfort don't have single bud use either + they're extremely bulky :| but quietcomfort have amazing sound and noise cancelation. Just not worth it imo if they don't even have single bud use
As a basshead how do you feel about the sony wh 1000mx3? I really find their bass too muddy and am not a fan. I tried the WF 1000xm3's today and thought the bass wasn't very deep but you could feel the physical punch of the bass. Do the 75's have more of that punch because I'm not that big on it with in-ears, but I think I'd like a deeper bass response.

I bought the WF-1000XM4 'cause I wanted to replace my old Jabra 75th after a year. I made the BIGGEST MISTAKE I EVER DID!! quite sound, no matter how much you play with the EQ.
I don't know...the bass when you set the Sony's to excited or go into the EQis pretty deep. Any more than that I think would be too much. Though I listen to metal and too much bass drowns everything out.
I go to manual:

Imo, it gives me accurate bass, with sweet pronounced mids, and textured highs to give cymbals that natural crispness to them. Especially with Noise Isolation on.

Sadly, no.. I'll be honest, I don't run. And each time I use the Complys I feel like the bass response on bass drops goes away, so I never use them. Sorry.

Hello. Is sony lack of water resistant something to be worry about since I am considering it to replace my excellent jabra elite 65t?
An audio reproduction device of quality should reproduce the sound recorded. All audio reproductions devices should be measured by this standard. It is true that no device does this completely but we should measure and compare sound reproduction devices by the degree to which they conform to this objective standard. Sound reproduction devices that color the sound by adding bass, treble or midrange are the worst offending devices. They are not producing what it on the recording. They are coloring the sound in a particular way that departs from the intention of those who recorded the music. A lesser degree of offense are those reproduction devices which roll off the highs or roll off the lows. These deviations from the objective standard are subtractive, not additive. You will get more of what was on the original recording. Most music is in the midrange. This is the most important part of the sound spectrum. Adding bass destroys the midrange of the recording. If a device add bass it will bleed into the midrange. This is inherently bad due to the fact it is artificially coloring the sound. A good audio reproduction device only produces heavy bass if it is in the original recording. If it is not there ir should not put it's own stamp on the music. It is sad that so many young people grow up without music education in their schools and have no idea what acoustic instruments sound like in a real space. To develop a sophisticated or decreeing musical ear one most become familiar with the sound of unamplified instruments. The goal of any quality reproduction device should be to reproduce such a natural sound. Adding bass or treble is by definition degrading the sound. Calling oneself a bass head is really saying that you have not developed the ability to discern the difference between real music in a real setting from the sound of processed and distorted musical reproductions. that is very sad.
So which is the best audiophile earbud?

Is it possible to get foam tips for these instead of silicon? I've always preferred the "seal" from foam tips that allows punchier bass and sound isolation. I have the sports elite and love the seal I get with those and wondering if I should upgrade.

Been looking to find a replacement for my galaxy buds but it seems to me other buds have some compromises. Either no wireless charging, no volume controls, not touch controls, thick charging case. At this time the buds have that good mix of portability and features at a fraction of the cost. If the Jabra had wireless charging id buy it.

I loved the 75ts when they worked. Had a bad bluetooth connection and had to return. Seems a lot of people on Amazon had a similar issue. Never had any issues with my galaxy buds, 65t or the wf-1000xm3. So, im going to let a few firmware updates roll out before i purchase again. Maybe the galaxy buds 2 will be as good or better. Guess we will see next month.

Where and how do you update the sony earpuds?
Can you check the firmware for both devices? People are saying Sony's phone call quality is much better after the update. But Jabra also had 2 updates to improve phone call quality. It would be great if you can verify what firmware were used for this test.
All were updated to the latest firmware before tests.

Can you share some insight with connecting both to a laptop for work calls via UC apps? Read that Jabra is not meant for PC and there’s been reviewed about sound get disconnected every few secs when its connected to a computer. How about Sony?

I want to ask you about the Jabra 75T. I looked on the web that if you don't listen to music or if you listen to a podcast with volume over 50% there is a white noise in the background of the left earbud. Could you check it and let me now if there is any problem on your earbuds? You can google "Jabra 75T hissing issue" and check the reddit post with a few people having this problem.

I own the 75t and I do prefer the Sony better. I returned my Sony because of bad Bluetooth connection. I preordered the Nuheara IQcubs2 Max. I’m currently on the Boost and as a professional musician I prefer it over the 75t. The Jabra sounds too thin compared to the Boost or Sony. The Jabras Bass is great but it masks the notes with the excess sub woofer effect.

Wow. I'm impressed by the call quality on the Sony's following the update because that was always a con in every review I've seen. They might actually be as good as the airpod now. The Jabra's still have that slight robotic sound. It sounds like two voices talking simultaneously. However, it's not enough of a difference. I prefer the minimalist look of the Jabra.
Also, thanks for confirming Jabra will update the 75t to work independently. I was beginning to think it was a myth and I was feeling bad about telling people an update was expected.
Im really impressed too..i just got my xm3 for 5days now and testing the call quality(just because reviewer said the call quality is garbage)..and found it nothing bad with the call quality,even in the noisy environment..

puffpuff If you are basshead - go for it. When I got my 75T’s I was a bit disappointed - there was too much of a bass. I really didn’t expect that. After EQing them and reducing lower frequencies I got a good pleasing sound signature.
Go with Sony, you'll never get bored with their basshead 😊

I’m using on an iPad and it’s remarkably good, it supports AAC which is apple’s proprietary codec so sound is superb. Connection is rather stable by default (you can swap better connectivity for better sound if you want). The noise cancelling is unparalleled for their size, and the sound is where this really shine. Especially if you listen to hi-res audio.
They are designed for I phone so pretty good

1.Do you guys dry or leave your ear buds to dry before charging? Or do you put them back into the charging case straight after running?
2.Should you charge the charging case with the ear buds inside? Will it cause over charging?
I primarily wear earbuds when training, hardly ever outside the gym so I need a lot of base.

Well i bought them both, and i use jabra elite 75 avtive while I do sports and ride a bike; and I use sony while I study. The sound of the Sony is better but, it is not usable for doing sports because it might rain and it is just too big

Man i was running like "usain bolt" when angry dog guard from my near factory reach me like crazy. Yet my sony xm3 is stil lock in my freakin ear canal like danggg how come... And people still said its not secure, guess what they just lazy enough to change eartips with larger silicon one

Jabra headphones aren't made for listening to music. They're made for placing calls inside of an office or call center environment.

Hi, can someone recommend me either jabra or sony. I really want the sony wf1000xm3 but the ip rating really bother me. I am using it for exercise. I saw some post in reddit they got no problem for sweating even they are sweating heavily. Do I really need to get the jabra instead of sony? Guys I need help. Yesterday I received the elite 75t. There's a constant hissing (really light) from the left earbud. And everytime I play a sound, I can hear white noise coming from the right earbud and 2 seconds after I stop the music, the white noise stop. Is it normal or do I need to return them and get a new pair ??

ok so I want to choose between these two buds. I sometimes listen to music for longer perods, (from 3 hours to 8 hours a day for work and travelling). I tend to be a basshead but listen to various types of music. Mostly EDM, but also orchestral music for instance. I also tend to watch commentary on youtube while travelling. I do not care for noise cancelling and phone call quality, but ambient mode is appreciated. Would the sony be comfortable enough for these periods? Is the sony with equalizer focused on bass better than the jabra? Find this hard to say because I can say something for both here. Any advice on this?
I've own the sony for 5days now..the audio quality is good(me not an audiophile)u can hear all the detail and instrument clear and crisp and really2 low distortion..the bass is booming but not crazy(u can tune the eq for some extra),u will feel the bass better at 75-80% volume..battery life is the best averaging at 6hrs plus anc(8hrs or more without anc)..fit and comfort is good,u can shake your head and the buds not gonna fell off..u can use the foam eartips(in the box)for better comfort..

@@aj161177 The jabra's definitely have the most bass. If you are a bass head, I would go for those.
The Sony is while it might sound better but it's bulky and falls out of your ears more easily so isn't suitable for any kind of activity. The Jabra 75T Elite Active has good water resistance and doesn't fall out. Pity you didn't mention noise cancellation, I think the Sony has that but the Jabra doesn't - I wonder how much of a difference it makes. I don't care about USB-C or wireless charging - how it charges is completely irrelevant to most consumers, I would've thought.

Youll never go wrong with Jabra. Used Elite Active 65t for past year and half, shower with them and all. Just upgraded to Elite Active 75t. Never no problems, shower or gym.
The difference? I can stay in the shower longer now ... singing offkey😏

Im owner of 75t active, and now I'm losing signal in the left earbud when am speaking or listening music, so I dont know if someone have the same problem, plus I don't like just use the right earbud only

@@Manoj1703 try update the software with the app. I read all this problems was for a wrong update, I think the jabras works good, when I did the update everything work OK, but anyways finally I sent my ones back

@@Manoj1703 I will try anker spirit dot 2. 79$ and the sound is good I saw in reviews but obviously Jabra should be better for the price. For me the best earpods was the Jabra, but my big problema was just can use one earbud the right one. You can check other ones like sennheiser momentum, jbl tws 300 live, I looking usually earpods with good bass. If u hear other good brands let me know, but I don't like mono audio (use just one, the right one ) if I pay so much money and just for use one isn't properly
Aaron - the Sony's call quality is too good to be true! I dont have them but i do have the Jabra 75ts - and they're really good for calls. Now you're going to make me spend more $$$ on the Sonys! Can you now say that the Sony's call quality is even better than the airpods pros, particularly after the update?

I think no brand's microphone quality can beat apple's for now. I have both the sony and airpods pro (APP), and use them both on a daily basis.
The ambient mode on the APP are just so natural sounding, it's unreal. Whereas the sony's ambient mode sounds abit muffled and abit digitised. The noise cancelling during phonecall on the APP is also much better than the sony's. Though the new update for Sony made them much better than they were. These are just my opinion, and you're entitled to yours.

Have to agree 75t are very base driven that's perhaps good for working out at the gym but not much good if you like to listen to music with HIFI sound. But if all you want is thump.. thump... thump go for the 75's
