PSVR2 has eye tracking same as quest pro.
PSVR2 only comes in white. The early photos of black headset and black controllers were prototypes, probably 3D printed.

PSVR2 is NOT available in 2 colors just white & black 2 tone like PSVR1 & PS5
The controllers are the SENSE controllers, the Move controllers were for the last headset
In one part you say Meta Quest Pro has an upper hand because it has eye tracking then later mention how PSVR2 has eye tracking too lol (which it does)
And I would say PSVR2 has the upper hand in software
You also should have mentioned how the Quest Pro & PSVR2 performance differs because one is using the onboard computing power while one is powered by PS5

This seems a little silly. The psvr2 is leaps and bounds above the Meta Quest Pro and its half the price. Not to mention they are both designed for diffrent audiences
In my country the PSVR 2 is actually a THIRD of the price of the Quest Pro so it's not even a debate which one I'll be buying lol. Quest Pro is way overpriced!

why are you showing the OLD MOVE controllers when talking about PSVR2? Also- at 4:36 you say the the Quest has upper hand because of eye tracking capabilites- PSVR2 HAS eye tracking. Why would PSVR2 be more limited??? This video needs some editing.
The information in this video has either been mixed up or flat out wrong concerning the 3 headsets discussed.
PSVR2 has superior PCVR quality visuals, the developers of Pavlov for the PSVR2 says it runs 10% faster on the PSVR2 than on a PC with a 3090TI, this brings the PSVR2 into high end PCVR territory, and the PSVR2 + PS5 Combo is around $1k were the Quest pro is $1500, only buy a Quest Pro if you are a casual VR gamer that isn't bothered about having the best PCVR quality games or having to keep recharging the headset every 1 to 2 hrs.
There are some major downsides to PSVR2 over Quest Pro. PSVR2 is locked to PS ecosystem with zero PCVR support. It's also wired only meaning no ability for wireless VR. Then you have the standalone option with Quest Pro. They are both expensive but Quest Pro provides the benefits of better lenses, built in audio, standalone capabilities, AR application use and PCVR capabilities. PSVR's only advantage would be the HDR capabilities but in the long run Quest Pro has MORE uses outside of strictly VR gaming. If you're looking at buying either and do not have a PS5 personally I think going Quest Pro is the way to go. PCVR is only going to get better as are the visuals PSVR2 is limited by its hardware. You also have the ability to play standalone games outside PCVR. Also Quest Pro and even Quest 2 have full hand tracking and audio built in.
@@drewpatterson8009 The PSVR2 ecosystem is the attraction because nothing new is coming to PCVR or Meta Quest except for more hardware, playing the same games over and over again is ok if you are into sim racing or flight sims, the point of the new Sony VR gaming system is to be as good as PCVR for a fraction of the price and to attract PCVR and Meta gamers who want Triple-A VR games that they can be excited about, I sold my high end PCVR system and invested a third of the cash into a PS5 + PSVR2 VR Gaming system, Half Life Alyx is great so is Lone Echo 1 & 2, but these Triple-A games are a few years old now, its time for more choice.
@@drewpatterson8009Saying that psvr doesn’t work with pc as a negative doesn’t really make sense when the quest pro also doesn’t work with the ps5, so basically you just have to decide which eco system you’d rather be a part of, pc or ps. Personally I think PC VR gaming is dead in the water. Every dev just caters to quest games now and the only thing keeping the scene alive was mods. Psvr looks set to bring triple A gaming back and I really hope it does well otherwise I doubt we’ll see big games like that come to VR until Quest 6 or 7 can finally run them

psvr 2 is a steal and will be the only planform to pump out big triple a games. hopefully they will come to pc as well.

Depends on your wants and needs. Quest Pro can do PCVR AND standalone, plus AR not just VR with passthrough applications. It's $500 more but it does way more than PSVR2 does.
@@drewpatterson8009 dude it’s quite literally a thousand dollars more. plus the MAJORITY of ppl looking at buying the psvr2 already have a ps5. it’s not even comparable at this point. the fact that the psvr2 is even COMPARABLE to the meta at 1/3 the price makes it a guarantee purchase for me.

Same here! I cannot believe we are getting it in 8 days, 8 DAYS!!! I remember when ps5 was announced and no psvr mentioned, I was so disappointed. Now we are just over a week away from playing it ourselves!
This video is completely inaccurate. The controllers for the PSVR2 are called sense controllers not move controllers (that's PS move/PSVR 1). PSVR2 does have eye tracking and foviated rendering. PSVR2 only comes in white.
People saying PSVR2 is leagues about quest pro are missing the point entirely when it comes to PC VR gaming no console headset will even scratch the surface at what a PCVR enabled headset is capable of because at high specs it won't even come close to the visuals, case in point just my GPU alone is the cost of the PS5 and PSVR2 combined, actually I could probably buy 2 PSVR2's and PS5's with the price of the 4090, but when you combine that with the quest pro its basically beast mode, the AR, amazing controllers and tracking and what it will be capable of later on as it gets more and more upgrades, thats the issue with the PSVR2, you won't see any leaps and strides when it comes to updates, you can't improve hardware through updates, Quest pro made its bones its just a matter of getting the software up there. Just look at the quest 2 at release vs where its at right now when it comes to software upgrades.

There is cinematic mode which is basically a floating screen on a black background that allows you to use all regular content (paying standard games or use any apps on your Playstation 5)

@Tom's Tech Vr it is to the same extent even further in fact, the quest pro has pancake lenses allowing for edge to edge clarity which the PSVR2 doesn't have with its fresnel lenses, I suspect that with psvr2 alot of quest and PCVR titles will start working on their version of foveated rendering, the quest pro is 3x the price so that's one downside lol

Price is a huge factor! The Quest Pro costs almost 3x as much as a PSVR 2 in my country. It's a no-brainer to just get the PSVR 2.
Quest Pro is a standalone device where you need to have a ps4 or ps5 to run PSVR.
Better games for the psvr2 - it’s a future proof piece of hardware.
@@xaviert7839 That would carry weight only for the very small subset of PSVR2 buyers who wouldn't already want a ps5 for gaming. For the vast majority that do, the PS5 is a sunk cost and should not be lumped into the cost of the PSVR2....

Meta is going to release it's next gen VR Console Quest 3.
Quest Pro is not just a modified Quest 2. Different chipset 50% more powerful, Wifi 6E, full color passthrough, much better tracking and more.

This feels like a frankenstein copy paste of comparisons between PSVR1 and Quest 2, there is even a point where it says you need the PS move controllers for the PSVR2 min 4:40 also the PSVR2 does have eye tracking and it says it doesnt't.

Gaming only, I'm happy with that. Biggest question is what about motion sickness. Playing resident evil made me sick as a dog
try to drink some ginger tea, wait for 20mins for it to be digested, then try the VR again to see if it would help you. I used this method to solve the motion sick issue. You can search "ginger", ginger has the effects of nausea prevention.

You said the quest had the upper hand with eye tracking. I'm starting to think this video is a troll. 1. Everyone and their brother knows that the PSVR2 has eye tracking. Later in the video, you suddenly talk about it. 2. It does not come with an optional black headset. 3. You repeatedly showed the old PlayStation 3 move controllers and acted like the PSVR2 was getting, "new move controllers" as you put it. Haha! That would be so horrible 😁. Obviously you're trolling.

You can also extend it with a usbc extension cable without any issues, another channel tested it, and it works fine. Good for people who use pulley systems.

Oh man. Is the psvr2 so much better than the quest pro. You have to use both to completely understand. My psvr2, after gaming since the nes, is the ONLY system that is now a part of my nightly routine. As in, I have to play some poker with other folks every night. It’s so fun that it erases the day for me and I’m ready to roll. Obviously you can play PokerStars on meta devices. But you can’t after leaving the table hit up some SERIOUSLY amazing graphics and immersion in a game. The fact the eye tracking works so well is a shot at the new vision pro from apple. Tim Cook tried the “reality distortion field” Jobs did so well. Didn’t work. Many of us have had the same tech since launch of psvr2. Also, sure. The psvr2 is all about gaming. But I use it for RUclips and all the other apps you can use on a ps5, like Netflix. Currently the psvr2 is the champion of vr. And even some AR. To me apple made a “proof of concept” device that is useless. And meta is just way behind the curve. In no way did I expect psvr2 to be as good as it is. But wow. It’s amazing.

Yes, both screens have a slight angular difference to create a 3d effext
If you haven't tried VR before I'll just say it's nothing like watching 3D movies, it's like being in another world, you are there. You have to experience it to know fully what it is like.
@crazynorm I have tried VR before, but I'm confused with the PSVR2's output! It has 2×2K outputs for two eyes and a 4K social view output! If a 2K image is rendered for each eye's angle, where does the 4K flat image come from?
