Wow this song came out in 2014 and now it’s 2019 why did it take me this long to find this song I’m out of high school now in college and it make me miss high school and when I was younger

I'm in college now too. I was in the matching band always supporting the football team under those Friday night lights, fog, snow, rain, or clear weather. I miss going to the football games and heckling the other team and just enjoying not giving a shit about anything

Man this made me cry not gonna lie. Its my senior year and its my first time playing football since 8th grade. Right now were 2 games into the season and were 2 and 0. I couldent ask to be with a better group of guys. Were a small school with less then 200 kids in the entire school. I really hope I can cherish all that I can when im out on that field. I really felt somthing when you said "we got on one knee" before every game and every practice, our team gets on one knee and we grab each others hand and then say the our father. Then we recite a poem that a kid wrote during the first year our school had a football team.

I wish i could live in this time forever. I could never be more excited than in that locker room before a game.

Man it’s nothing that can compare to running onto the field surrounded by your brothers. I would go to war for these good ol boys. It’s no other feeling in the world that has the same feeling and meaning when you run on the field and hear those shoulder pads popping‼️💪🏼
I am a german exchange student and i was lucky enough to have one season of friday night lights. Our season sucked but that didnt matter. We dont have high school sports in germany so i will never have something like that again, and everyday i damn myself for not having another season. Damn i miss the feeling of kickoff and everyone cheering for the touchdown…

Every time I listen to this song tears me up, I can’t believe this year will be 7 years sense I last suited up for a game, coming from a town where we have the most state championships and state playoffs wins in the state of Oregon out of all classes, winning state was the expectation our coaches and our town would put on us, just wish I could turn the clock back and do it all over or one more shot on the field

Turning 30 this year and this song hit home.... I still remember those Friday nights hell I married that cheerleader we have a daughter now and yet there are night we talk about those nights.

Our parents took care of the bills and payments of sorts, but then one day we're gonna be out in the world doing that. So we gotta make the time of our Highschool selves worth every second!

Currently a sophomore and goin to be a junior next year and I’m really upset that I wasn’t able to go to any football games for my best friend that is going in to the military next year. Love my small town but I don’t want highschool to end I have to many memories to make. It breaks my heart that I will be cheering for the first time in 3 years next year and my senior year will be my last year until college cheer....😭 I love my class and everything that we all argue about is funny and petty. You don’t ever realize how much highschool means to you until you are a sophomore going on to be a junior. I really wish I would have never taken school not seriously. I wish I had more memories and stories to share. I love watching football. And I love all of the festivals that we have in my town. My family runs the main festival and that is where I make the most memorable times even though I can’t go around and hangout with my friends with everyone else but the one night that I look forward to is Thursday because I get to boss the kids that help set up the stage around and I get to run around like I know what I’m doing.
i remember i used to play football alot of people said i was a great athlete when it came to football but i didnt have alot of skill at all i didn't beat the guy across from me because i was better i always beat them because i had heart and love fir the game but one summer a couple years ago i got in a bad four wheeler wreck the docs said ill never be able to play again and that kills me inside so to all you people playin play like its your last play leave it all on the field because you never know if it will be taken from you.
How are you now I’m a freshman and I almost had it taken from me when I was a really young I almost had to have surgery on knee and if I did I would have never been able to play thankfully it wasn’t what they thought they said if I got hit any harder it would have been the end

Love this song, reminds me of my highschool years i started football in 6th grade an had to give it up when i got put in the hospital the start of my 10th grade year due to a wreck and broke a few ribs and my leg i had to sit out the rest of the year but i still went to the games to cheer on my football team

This might be a bit late, but dont give up. My junior year we went 0-10 for the season. The freshman who were on varsity that year worked their asses off and grinded for 4 years until they made it to the semi-finals their senior year

I live in a small town in and there's nothing to do except for farm work, get in fights, ride four wheelers in the local trails, and football this is my first year in highschool football so let's just say it's a big deal for me
