Good one Dave. Alot of our members are running gas but I don't like the added complexity of an ignition system and I hate Walbro carbs. I also dislike the smell of gasoline but nothing is better than than the smell off glow fuel and castor oil in the morning. Glow plugs do not interfere with radio signals. I have seen several crashes and other problems caused by an improperly shielded spark plug wire. Maybe I am just getting old and grumpy. Keep them coming man, I watch all of them.
You could look at the RPM figures for the other 300T engines that I have run in the past. I really don't have the same tach setup now, so getting readings on bigger engines like this is a bit problematic unless I have a helper, which I typically do not.
Awesome!! Thanks for sharing Dave!! What prop are you turning? FWIW it's 65 degrees and sunny here in south central Missouri . . . been running my Saito FA-180 single today in preparation to put on a 30cc Ultra Stick from Horizon . . should be a great combo.

I was thinking that engine would swing a 20 inch prop. What a ripper!
my ft300 is a thirsty puppy when running. that saito runs really good.
❤️that sound is just awesome
I love it David great sounding engine❤🦅
David, wonderful sound.
A bit of silicone fuel tube as the 'stopper' for the needle friction fitting - old school 2 stroke glow engine style...
That is already on there
I like it! Thanks for sharing.
Sounds great 👍
Goly that thing cranks out the rpms 😮
Seems to be about the same weight as an OS FT-300.
Can't wait to see RPM numbers.

If you still have the gas parts you removed I would be interested in purchasing them from you. The parts to install the walboro carb and the carb.
Send me an email. Video link in the description.

I state verbally and in text what prop I am running. Did you watch the video? ;-)
@@dmrcflyr2 I did watch the video but I missed where you said what prop . . . on the second viewing I caught it. Have a great day Dave!!

20x8 Master airscrew, same as the one I run on my Saito R325...
I can see why the previous owner converted it to gas. It must use 3-4 oz. a min on glow!
Would be nice to see it run on gas.
Not going to happen. I have said many times in my channel I don’t run gas engines. Don’t like it, go to CH ignition’s RUclips channel and see it run.
