The idea is you are so in sync with each other that you could stare at the cards played only and still play correctly. Most people play it like this. “I have the 3 so I play it.” “I have the 15 so I wait about few seconds for someone else but after a small amount of time I play.” If someone has the 88 they would wait a long time between playing but that’s it. The only communication is playing the card or not.
