100% agree on the stellar blade and neva takes. People gloss over stellar blade because of its more racy social consensus while neva is just not well known, but both have extremely redeeming qualities that I feel can help push their genres forward. Both being pretty much bug free and running well was also a big plus.
I’m currently backlog busting, so I didn’t play a whole lot of games from this year. I’ve had a ton of fun playing Helldivers 2 with friends, but my favorite game I played this year was Kingdom Come: Deliverance. Planning on getting a new PC to play the sequel, and I can’t frickin wait!
Now that I have a PS5 Pro, I got Rise of The Ronin and I'm excited to play it nezt year. Stellar Blade I just finished my first playthrough and it's my GOTY. It also has my favorite soundtrack for the year. I also love it has a mix of revealing outfits and less revealing outfits. I especially love the Bruce Lee/Kill Bill tribute yellow tracksuit. Prince of Persia ans Tales of Kenzera were two excellent Metroidvanias released this year. I was also super happy with the Castlevania DS collection. Also, glad Astro Bot won GOTY at TGA.
Rise of the Ronin was actually the game that got me to buy the PS5, I was tired of not having access to their exclusives and I couldn’t bite the bullet and let Rise pass on me. Bought one of the best decisions I’ve ever made when I did that and I even got my bro to get a ps5 and rise of the ronin as well, crazy part is I’ll answer questions if they have them but I never bug people about the game they all come over see the gameplay and TWEAK because they’ve never seen the game. I call it my guilty pleasure but to others I call it Ghosts of Tsushima with lowered graphics while going pass the limits on gameplay.

Was one of my more anticipated games. But the Game runs like crap on ps5. They use frame gen to double the frames of a 30fps game. Cry more cuz someone didn’t praise your favorite game.

TLOU2 was one of my most played games this year, got addicted to the No Return mode
I put almost 100 hours in that mode alone. It's really a shame that the multiplayer didn't work out.

Tried the 2 hours trial of space Marine was bored after an hour and uninstalled stellar blade ,wukong and Astro bot were my personal favs of 2024
