I have one of these myself (after seeing the reviews online) and I can honestly say it is well worth the money paid for the device. This is a great device for checking the health of various laptop batteries (especially if you do not have the laptop for the type of battery), running calibration checks, and especially trying to recover deep discharged cells. Some battery packs will let you recover a deep discharged battery pack - others will not though, and will just lock themselves. I might look into resetting batteries at some point in the future, as they have a 10 day trial for the unlocking tool - but this will be once I have amassed a lot of batteries that need unlocking.
6:20 if the battery status shows LOCKED then it is because the BMS (inside of the battery pack) has shut down the entire pack. Sometimes you can try and force a voltage into the battery pack, but the vast majority of these batteries cannot be salvaged at all without using the reset function (a paid for function) and re-programming the BMS. If the voltage is too low, this re-programming might not even be possible, so you'd have to use another tool to pre-charge the cells outside of the BMS. This would require disassembly/destruction of the pack, meaning that you'd be better off disassembling the pack and salvaging the Li-Ion (or Li-Poly) cells instead. In this case, the cells were perfectly fine (full capacity and only 1 charge cycle), but the cell voltage was too low (1.2V - 1.4V per cell), and the BMS locked the cells. The best method here would be to disassemble the pack, salvage the Li-Poly cells, charge and capacity test using a balance charger (like Turnigy Accucel or SkyRC Imax), then use in other electronic projects (or use to repair another laptop battery if you have a license key for the repair function).

After your video I checked my battery health and it shows as 52.8% (with batteryinfoview tool) also I checked with Windows 10`s powercfg /batteryreport manually , I found out the same value. So what I wanted to ask if battery health will be under which value it should be considered to be replaced ? I`m using this laptop since 2016 by the way as an additional information.
Well, it depends on what is the main purpose of your laptop. Do you use it most of the time on its power supply or not? If you use it mostly plugged in, this battery health still ok since you can still use the battery as a decent UPS (Uninterruptible power supply). But if you use it mostly in a mobile environment, you have to count in basically you have half of its original battery life, which is pretty bad. As a general rule, these batteries can hold a decent charge level (till 80%) from 300 to 1000 cycles (depends on the models), and it is advised to swap them out after ~3 years. (but still depends how degraded they are). Hope this helps you!

When the autonomy of the battery is not satisfactory you could replace it. For some users, a battery health 30% would be good enough to get 20-30 minutes of holding time to save their work, for other users a battery health 70% would not be sufficient to play games few hours.

I know the repair function would be nice for free, but since it is quite a unique one, I totally understand the ower/company want to profit on it.
It is not possible to modify battery EEPROM information without the software since most of the chips are well secured. Once you unseal the chips then you can do it. We can offer FREE Chip Resets for about 30 batteries but you need the device. Unfortunately, there are no other solutions to pass the security of the chips.
Dell D600 battery (C1295) With a jumper between Ground and the SYS PRESENT pin I can measure voltage and discharge the battery using a R/C charger /discharger. However I can not charge at the out most pins. No current flow goes into the battery. If I put the battery back in the laptop it will charge it full again. Would you know if I need another jumper to allow the battery to accept charging?
Hi friend thanks alot cause your video was quite useful, But am having a problem on how to connect the uniform black battery connector wire to the internal laptop battery output terminal, which normally comes with a multiple colored wire which enable you to connect them in the short uniform back cables that need to be connected to green socket which connects directly to the device for a proper communication of device to the battery in question. So please my question is how do you connect a complex wire battery that may have more than four colors of wire , Just like the ones you use in your video, The internal battery you used has only four colors of wire {red , white, yellow, Black, wish obviously indicate ,that red=positive [v], back = negative [G], and white and yellow =equals clock and data wire, right.... So what if you came across a dead internal body wired battery (just like the ones you used in your video that has about eight wires connected to the outlet terminal of the batteries ) that has eight or more than eight , maybe ten , That might have many colors , like ,red , blue ,green orange,yellow and black, so My question is how do I connect them rightfully( like how do I detect the clock Wise,data , ground and positive wire from the ones that has about six colours of wires... Please this is a problem that has been facing for a very long ,how I wish I have your email address nor WhatsApp contact,so that I can be able to forward some image aspect of what am taking about ,in case you do not understand me..

Its not an alternative for personal or even small business use to buy license /year. That way you would sell more hardware (the NLBA1) also,

Its ok if your in the business, but for personal use its a rip off €299 a year to be able to reset batteries, and it does not support all batteries
