This is the most beautiful (charming, pleasing) of the many Lego assemblies I have seen. CoolBun2003 used a good word when s/he called it "delicate". --- I've got it now ... it's an exquisite scene.
Very slick, a lot of work really paid off. The merry go round made me laugh thinking of an ambitious child getting off on the wrong side swimming with the sharks.
Thanks! Yeah, that would not be a good day for the ambitious child :). I've had to make several changes in order to make room for the new Assembly Square which is coming out this month, so I hope to have an update soon.
Awesome ! At first Glance it reminds me of San Fran. As you added more in, it now looks like a New England Town. You did an amazing job, especialy being able to go to shows with it.
Your original pieces looked very good. The lighthouse and the ship are the real highlights, with the proportions of the ferris wheel vs the merry go round seemed pretty off and very much tacked-on. With LEDs, this village may look spectacular.
That's amazing, Mark. I have seen countless Lego cities on youtube, while this is not the biggest, it is by far one of the most delicate ones I have seen.
Very impressive village, the split levels give it a nice touch. Great work on the custom elements too, the ship and the lighthouse are real highlights, it would be good if you did some videos showing off the details of each of your custom builds.
Great job and thanks for showing your ideas. Nice work with the use of different levels, really clever! I see you have some stuff going on in the city also, that's always nice. Only 1 thing i don't like and that is the fact that the train doesn't go around the city. You should fix an opening and make the track go around so you can have the train go around and ride! I think if you had a riding train and the spinning carousel, the city would be alive! :). Very good build, i will subscribe.
Hi, thanks for your nice comments. Since that video was done I have actually completed the train loop around the city. It pops out of the underground at the side and runs along a trestle in the rear. I should do a video with the train running. Thanks.
This is incredible. So beautiful. You have obviously put many many hours of work into this and your hard work has paid off! I recently got the Parisian Restaurant and have had an absolute ball building it. Well done!
This one of the most orignal city versions i ve seen. like the wooden system so you can create a lot of dept and variation. so awsome keep on this excellent work !!!
Loved it only downside to me was the carousel it looks like it hanging in mid air doesnt look right..other than that its better than anything i could do ..Dont get me wrong you done at wonderful job...
Thanks, I am currently working on a castle as part of the city wall around the rear of the village. It is my most aggressive custom building so far. Hopefully I will have it ready soon.
For the amount of detail and buildings in your village, this is amazingly compact. You have some great custom builds, the ship being my favourite, and some pretty rare sets like the green grocer. Is the carousel the official and very expensive Lego set, or a custom build of your own? Are you a keen woodworker? Because the interior wooden structure that holds up the village is very precisely built. I look forward to seeing how this evolves over time if you post more videos, maybe start building custom modular buildings?
Hi, Thanks for your kind words. I made it compact primarily because of the limited space I had, although it gave me an opportunity to be creative. The ship is one of my favorites as well. It was a lot of fun to design and build. The carousel is actually a custom build, as is the Ferris wheel.
This collection and room is amazing! I am so jealous haha! I live in New York and only have a closet really for collecting! I'm new to collecting and I was wondering if you had any advice? How do I begin to collect? Should I buy doubles so I can build one and hold onto the other for value upgrade? Thanks so much! This is wicked inspiring!! Any advice would be great!
Thanks, Shane, Yes, I started buying doubles so that I could hold on to one and re-sell to help offset the cost. I really started the village as a way to display the Lego buildings and it grew from there. The compact nature was designed because of my limited space. It was a reason that I started going vertical, and I would imagine that might be your answer as well. I also took some liberties with space, such as narrow roads and disproportionately sized accessories. Not sure if that was helpful or not, but I would love to see what you come up with. Good luck, Mark
I have been considering one. In the meantime I do have a chapel in the castle with a cathedral ceiling pulpit and cross. I include it in my castle video.
Yes, I am currently expanding the Castle around the back of the village. Future plans include bridging over to a new section of city. No sure yet what I will include on the second island.
With the addition of the Assembly square, I added a new plaza and expanded the City Square in front of the Courthouse. I eventually plan to expand to a second island which will give me the room to add more natural items.
This is an absolutely amazing display!!! My son and I have a bunch of modulars and MOC we use for our stop motion LEGO series but we’re constantly moving them. We want to do a city display like this, very inspirational! Check us out when you have some time! Bricks on the Loose

Thanks, that is very kind
well done Mark, amazing village
very beautifull design
thanks, its been a labor of love.
This is super impressive. The hillside layered look is something new and impressive
Thanks, had to be innovative because of my lack of space. :)
I have something similar to this, I'm glad there are still people out there willing to spend there money and Time on Lego.😃
Thanks! It does take a lot of both doesn't it.
Fantastic! Great steps, staggered buildings, subways, everything is fantastic
Thanks, I really appreciate it.

Thanks, that is so encouraging.
Beautiful village
Thanks!

Thanks! Hadn't thought about it before, but definitely can see it now.
This is wonderful mark! Such a beautiful set up!
Thank you.
Your original pieces looked very good. The lighthouse and the ship are the real highlights, with the proportions of the ferris wheel vs the merry go round seemed pretty off and very much tacked-on. With LEDs, this village may look spectacular.
Thanks, I have considered adding LED's for a while, particularly under the street level.
Mark, this is brilliant! Absolutely luv it!
Thanks for the encouragement!
Nice work Mark, it looks great!
Thanks!
Wow this is an impressive Lego village I've been trying to create my own for a long time
Thanks, nice thing about Lego is that you can't ever mess up. So definitely go for it.

Great job and thanks for showing your ideas. Nice work with the use of different levels, really clever! I see you have some stuff going on in the city also, that's always nice. Amazing
Thanks!!
This is brilliant, so clever. Not just a modular city, but a modular display! I can only begin to imagine the planning involved 😃
Thanks, It actually started as a way to display my collection, but definitely grew from there.
Wow. Great work!! Perfect for trasport your city in a public exhibition or show :-)
Interestingly, I didn't initially design it for that purpose, but it seemed to work out well.
cool build
Thanks
This are looking good at elevated level LEGO city layouts! Good job!!
That is so awesome!
Thanks!
This is incredible. So beautiful. You have obviously put many many hours of work into this and your hard work has paid off! I recently got the Parisian Restaurant and have had an absolute ball building it. Well done!

This is AWESOME!!! My first attempts at a city had the concept of layering up so everything could be seen but nothing as perfect as this. GREAT JOB!
Thanks! I am currently enlarging the castle to wrap around the back side.
Magnificent! Cant wait to see.
Nice job! Definitely took a lot of skill and thought!
Thanks! It has definitely been a labor of love.

Thank you. It does take some time to move it, so I may need to find a better way to pack it up.
Just subscribed!
AWESOME!
Great job on this. Your custom creations look very nice. Would be nice to see a custom building in the future though!
Thanks, I am currently working on a castle as part of the city wall around the rear of the village. It is my most aggressive custom building so far. Hopefully I will have it ready soon.

I wish I had all that
Thanks for the encouragement.
Reminds me of Brighton
Thanks. Brighton, is on my list of places to visit.
Wow this is great!
Thanks!
Great city, but video needs work. Your city is amazing and it also helped me plan out my Lego city. You just need to work on the video quality.
Thanks, glad I could help. Do you have any pointers for the video work?
This collection and room is amazing! I am so jealous haha! I live in New York and only have a closet really for collecting! I'm new to collecting and I was wondering if you had any advice? Wow this is crazy good
Hey dude you forgot a church remember to put a church in next time
I have been considering one. In the meantime I do have a chapel in the castle with a cathedral ceiling pulpit and cross. I include it in my castle video.
I subscribed :) You need more subscribers!!!!
Thanks, I hope to do a few more videos to keep it interesting for everybody.
wow, really expensive at this time, today is more than expensive ^^
i like it. Its so cool
how did you top the Lego burp cliffs on each other?
I'll do a vid to showcase them a little bit. It was a lot of trial and error.
belle video bien tournee
Thank you, so much
Wow, those original builds are really good, do you have a plan to expand so you can fit more builds?
Yes, I am currently expanding the Castle around the back of the village. Future plans include bridging over to a new section of city. No sure yet what I will include on the second island.
awsome
Mark Lorah you can include a residence area, emergency services , and many more other things.
Mark Lorah Assembly Square is missing there..
there is at least 4000 $ on that table
I have actually resisted adding up the cost. But I am sure it is at least that.
And how much money is this? Jk I know your not selling this and this a a very Small city but it is still the best one I have seen
how much did it cost to buy all the modular buildings
The Lego produced buildings averaged about $150 each. My original builds, somewhere around $300 - $400.
Can you add some more grass and natural things
With the addition of the Assembly square, I added a new plaza and expanded the City Square in front of the Courthouse. I eventually plan to expand to a second island which will give me the room to add more natural items.
This is an absolutely amazing display!!! My son and I have a bunch of modulars and MOC we use for our stop motion LEGO series but we’re constantly moving them. We want to do a city display like this, very inspirational! Check us out when you have some time! Bricks on the Loose
