Hey um idk this is weird but I noticed on this one comment you spelled "stupid" like "stupide" I don't blame you cause some English teachers are better than others but for future reference "stupide" doesn't have the extra e on the end (btw I hope I didn't offend you in anyway) c:
Thanks for posting this. Worked all day at the hospital, slept through the ball drop. "Dropped the Ball.' Family had fun making fun of my snoring. Happy New Year!
Thanks for posting this. I live in New Mexico and I forgot that it was on local news exactly at 10:00 our time (it's now 10:45). My kids wanted to see it. Thanks again & Happy New Year.
a short and sweet celebration that has much to remember about how we entered the world in 2010 despite the fact that our knowledge wasn't there; a 2000 repeat is likely within the decade. a 2010 year will make us cherish and move forward. a smart win for the ages.
I am from Portugal and I tried to stay awake to watch New Year in Times Square, but I fell asleep. Time zones suck! lol Next year, I will be there! Happy New Year to everyone ;)
its about saying goodbye to the past. and starting a new year-fresh. 2009 was a bad year for many people and celebrating the dawning of a new year (or decade) is refreshing and rejuvenating. for a brief moment- all is well and stressfree. there is NOTHING like being part of the times square ball drop... i was there in December 31, 2006 and it was amazing.
Wow...gotta love RUclips where a random flame war starts about the war in Iraq when this video is the ball dropping for 2010...Happy New Year everyone!
UGH! That night my family went to visit our aunt. Me and my brother really wanted to see the ball drop. As soon as we got to our aunt's house we rushed into her apartment so we could see. We got into her apartment where her TV was RIGHT in front of us literally a second after midnight. We JUST missed it.
@ drshields they're celebrating the fact that they are alive to see a new year, that they living for another year. It's really the same reason why we celebrate birthdays.
@mattdogggg you too my friend, you too. hope this new year brings you plenty of joy, love, and happiness. From Pennsylvania I Wish everyone a very happy new years.
(forest gump) - Some years later, that nice young man from England was on his way home to see his little boy and was signing some autographs. For no particular reason at all, somebody shot him. But in all actuality, he was shot in 1980. So it was probably a recording.
im from the USA but i never ever say god bless the USA or America, i always say GOD BLESS THE WHOLE WORLD AND EVERYONE IN IT. and a Happy New Year to everyone :)
Because, imagine a better world where you live without frontiers, no races , no matters religions believes, just you and me living togheter and sharing hugs, think about that if we really need that now ..we'd live in a better world..don' you think that..?
@quentin015 I live in Europe, and where I'm from, we watch our own national new year's ceremony. The various news shows typically shows the celebration in other countries, like NY, Paris. I've yet to see London being mentioned, though. NY is a regular on Danish TV.
I live in Europe and actually, no we don't watch the ball drop in New York... We watch the same event either in Paris or London ;) So no, everything isn't about the USA if it's what you meant ;)
@MrTroubles911 im thinking he may have been able to do it because he was watching this on the west coast...pacific time is 3 hours behind eastern, if i am not mistaken. and i know they show the time square ball drop worldwide....so he had three hours to post this after midnight in newyork
if the idea of the balldrop mattered, the don't care response applies to aunt winnie and uncle jim's behavior as a childish way of looking at the facts because of how many trains they made doug take to franklin prior to the age of 20. there is absolutely no way shape or form that this should have happened but it did.
@meganroncarati: -There is no such thing as a god. -Thinking the world will end based on an ancient civilization's calendar is superstitious nonsense, and calling it that is just a statement of fact. People who are scared of things that aren't real should be told they aren't.
If this person that posted this lives on the West Coast, and they recorded it by TV or something or by some network and posted it that way, then it would still be December 31st their. But January 1st in the East coast!!
The video: "Ball Drop 2011" for the 2010 new year uploaded on 2009 O_o

The only reason people will be dying in 2012 is either because they'll have a heart attack from fear or get smothered by confetti in times square.

This is 2009-2010, not 2010-2011
Besides, in the beginning of this video, the original recording of Imagine is heard, which Taio Cruz sang it in 2011!
im from the USA but i never ever say god bless the USA or America, i always say GOD BLESS THE WHOLE WORLD AND EVERYONE IN IT.
and a Happy New Year to everyone :)
I can't wait until 2013 after we passed the supposed apocalypse of 2012. That'll be something to celebrate!
i discovered 2010 adds on various objects
happy new year, happy new consumer decade :P
I like how this whole event is just purely for advertisement purposes.
The commentators who will remain nameless are late in the countdown. THAT IS SO FU(K!NG FUNNY!
The last song is "The Theme To New York, New York - Frank Sinatra"
The Queen is dropping it this year.
It was propably posted from the west coast or anywhere past eastern time such as Mountain or Central. I think RUclips is on Pacific time, not sure.
This was recorded in NY live on EST. Whoever posted this is probably in a different time zone.
the world wont end in 2012 because my sardines expires in 2015!!!
oooo! I got goosebumbs! I gotta go there someday for new years
RIP Andy Whitfield
Tackiest ball drop I ever seen! 1. The bill board 2. Lennen- what he stood for- to be bastardized by a country STILL at war-!!! TACKY!
