The Heroes of Miracle on the Hudson November 24, 2009

Interview on the Oprah Winfrey Show. This video recounts what happened on January 15, 2009, and the dramatic rescue of US Airways Flight 1549 in the Hudson River. NY Waterway crews were the first on scene. NY Waterway's very own Captain Vincent Lombardi is interviewed along with other heroes that day. The interview took place on November 24, 2009

Thank you to the whole crew of the plane. The first responders and all who joined together to make a difference that day. I for one don’t take for granted all the effort it took on that day over the Hudson. It helped me believe in human kindness that day and every day after that. Bravery, hope, and humanity.
