Anger Tops Grief for Relatives of Uvalde Texas Victims

- Nearly two months after a gunman slaughtered their children in Robb Elementary School, relatives still have no concrete answers - just more horrible details and continued finger-pointing by officials and politicians. What unfolded that spring morning was a cacophony of chaos played by an orchestra of nearly 400 law enforcement members who rushed to the Texas school, only to wait more than an hour before killing the gunman.
The truth is out there now and I’m glad everyone is being exposed. There’s nothing I can say to help these families. But I watch and listen to all of your stories. Your babies mattered! I will always support your families the best way I can.
People who feel sad about such news sound like they find the tragedy entertaining. Some people to be more accurate.

The saddest part is that this is how people have to find out that cops really don't care about the citizens... the hard way.
That's why it's important to Not Allow the government to take away the citizens right to arms and to protect Themselves. The government won't protect you, don't care about you or your freedoms. It has Always Been the citizens duty to Know wtf is Going on and who you're voting into office. It used to be a normal Adult Task to be involved in politics and what the hell is going on in your immediate community and the world; and who is seeking to take power.

not many humans will put others' lives over theirs, even if its their job.

In the same way that the good citizens of Uvalde did not care about a poor boy, with a speech DISABILITY, who was humiliated on a daily basis by his peers for wearing the same cloths because his drug-addict mother and absent father couldn’t afford more or simply did not care, who was possibly sexually abused by one of his mother’s boyfriends (that alone destroys your humanity). They created the monster themselves and hopefully all the bullies will carry a heavy load of shame and guilt for the rest of their lives (including the evil girl who tied his shoelaces in 4th grade).
And to think that losing your child in a school shooting wouldn't be worse than it already was, but no. The whole time, there were many officers who could have taken that gunman down to protect the children and teachers, but simply chose to be cowards and negotiate with the gunman instead. These officers really did not care, they thought they didn't have anything to lose from sitting at the sidelines while children were dying. Whoever released the video exposing them, we greatly thank you for showing that the "officers" were really just cowards. My deepest condolences to those families, no one should lost their child, let alone in a way that could have been stopped.
They were released in the scathing report that the Texas House Committee released, from their independent investigation into the shooting.
I can’t believe he really walked over to put hand sanitizer whilst kids is in there in danger. Absolutely pathetic and infuriating how many lives they could’ve saved if they’re weren’t procrastinating and obviously so cowardly!
The saddest part is, even after being shot, some of the children survived and even called 911. The police waited literally outside the door while they bled to death.
It’s the worst thing imaginable they participated in their death!
It took 15 seconds to take down the Greenwood Mall Shooter but 77 mins for Uvalde police to take down that shooter...uncalled for.
I could barely watch that footage. As soon as I saw the shooter walk past all of those colorful hallway decorations that could have been my own child’s school with that huge rifle I lost it. How could you just stand there with no sense of urgency? How? I cannot even begin to imagine how those babies felt.

This story made me cry for a week. Law enforcement doesn't care about anyone. Even children.
I was touring preschools and the best one in town I was able to walk in and walk the halls before i finally found the office. HUGE RED FLAG choose a different one

My deepest condolences to their relatives and families. This is truly heartbreaking. I just can’t imagine the terrifying pain they went through… I pray for peace in this world. I hope that someday soon, nothing like this will ever happen again.

My deepest condolences to the friends and families of the victims. There's *no* excuse for the cops having not stepped in, or at the very least fought to evacuate the students.
They did evacuate students, just the guys in the hallway didn't understand that a 4v1 was going to turn out your way 3:4 times you try
How hurtful is it to know that your loved one didn't make it simply because officers were clueless as to what should have been done. Sad that these things have to happen, and its hurtful that the officers had no clue how to handle this horrifying situation as if they were treating it as a joke. My prayers go out to all the victims and their families. Sad that parents can't even feel safe enough to send their kids to school. 😔😪

I think 99% of Americans would have willingly risked their lives to save these kids, even without body armor, shields, long guns and dozens of friends backing them up. It's unreal.
To think that one of the teachers was still alive and died at the hospital. The negligence. Those cowards have their blood & deaths on their hands. They didnt even let her husband go in to get her. Let's never forget and use that anger towards change on gun reform and responsible gun ownership. Let their deaths not be in vain. Always advocating for the children & teachers. Protect the future generations.
... all it would have took was allowing teachers to carry a firearm to prevent this whole situation. As well as holding the officers responsible for doing nothing for over an hour. When you post a sign that says gun free zone, to a criminal it says " target rich environment".

Every drop of outrage here, is fully justified. This was worse than a delayed response, it was an outright failure. Horrific.

The most damning of all of the surveillance camera videos that I have watched. was of the officer Reuben Ruiz, after checking his cellphone, and getting the news directly from her?
There was no "URGENCY" whatsoever from him, even after knowing that his wife had been shot and was bleeding out!? What did he do get angry? Did he scream? Did he run toward the classroom? No no no...this is crazy behavior!
Nothing at all, all that I have to say is this is not "normal" behavior for any husband who truly loves his wife.. he was standing around for 77 minutes! I don't want to judge a man who has lost his wife, But...this is insane!

Those poor babies so scared and alone. I work in a elementary school, I see my kids everyday and can't get those babies faces out of my head. Being a parent as well, all you want to do is protect your children reassuring and hugging them every day. Those parents must be going through hell, not being able to comfort there child when needed most. So many hugs to all those parents, my heart goes out to you. As for those COWARDLY Cops may they all rot in hell.

They should be arrested for felony murder, obstruction of justice, interfering with a law enforcement officer ( For removing officer Ruiz), and treason. Treason in the united states is giving aid or comfort to the enemies of the united states. Ramos made himself an enemy of the entire nation and these officers certainly provided him aid for those 77 minutes.

I was watching a father talk about his son earlier this morning. I started crying. Imagine signing up to be some of our only line of defense. And acting like a child scared by the local dog. this is absolutely disgusting. *nobody* deserves to go through the agony of losing a loved one. i feel so bad for these poor kids. they had their whole lives ahead of them. the fact that it was their last week of school makes this even more disgusting. i also feel incredibly bad for their relatives. all of this was completely preventable. the police did not do anything to help these poor children. imagine being a cop who is so selfish that you let little children die from something completely preventable. the fact that the oldest child involved with the shooting at robb elementary school was only 11 is sickening. my heart goes out to those children and all of the relatives who lost their family members in this shooting :((

This country is in such a downward spiral. We have become so desensitized (Or used to) shootings that now when I hear of one, I just sigh and go "damn" and I have to wonder when I'm I gonna be next? It's not even a "Oh no really?" It's "another one?"
There isn't one big solution to this. Many need to be made.
The pain is stained forever for these families and no amount of apology from the department can fix that. Zero. These gorgeous souls had a chance to be saved; that would never come.
