You probably dont give a damn but does anybody know of a method to get back into an instagram account..? I stupidly lost my password. I would appreciate any assistance you can offer me!
@Royal Makai thanks for your reply. I got to the site on google and Im in the hacking process atm. Seems to take quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
4:31 I never knew Mattias's english accent would make me laugh so much, am I just here for the memes or am I here for the music? (why not both? it's 10/10 either way!)
Your playing is so refreshing. I've been listening to your work since Art Metal and just recently I discovered you have an youtube channel, but everytime I listen to your playing I discover something new.
We love you Mattias and Freak Kitchen crew! Heres to Quake! Thanks for uploading so often these days! And I love your explanations and dialogue. Oh that sounds so good to the ears
I discovered Shawn Lane Last year! I have been hooked on his Music, and I have been learning as much as I can within the realm of my abilities. Mattias Is amazing, and I assume he is inspired by Mr. Lane. I am now subscribed and I will be watching and listening closely so I can assimilate what I am able to, and what appeals to me! Mattias seems incredibly humble, considering his astronomical skills! Thank you for this channel sir!! 🎸🎭🥁🕊🏴☠️😎💜🌎
Honestly fantastic, really reminiscent of Quake's industrial music past as well. I'm honestly not sure how I wasn't a subscriber to your channel before, but all is remedied now. ❤️
Well, you old geezer. The mention of konnakol has won you a new fan (even I'm not a huge fan of ultrabass djent tones). Loving the rythms and scales - thank you for the music and the inspiration!
Ive been doing the same thing on my fretless Jazz bass for years. Setup with distortion, delay and a flanger effect to sound like a klaxon siren. I pluck the open E and let it ring for a whole note then, with my palm slam the open E down onto the Duncan quarter pounder in passive. It gives a repeating echo of a small pop,pop,pop,pop....for 5 repeats then a whole rest and stop...and again.... Great effect.
I would really love a konnakol tutorial series or something. I've tried looking into it a little and it's a kinda tricky to find good resources for it.
Loved this video, sir. It's great to learn more about what inspires you and to learn more about you as a person. Incredible guitarist, and a seemingly fun and great guy all around!
Jesus Mattias, just when I thought you couldn't get more awesome, it turns out you're playing my favorite game. I gotta get back to the arena in the hopes of getting a frag in ;)
I am so happy to see another musician using Konnakol or Bols. I haven't utilized those since college. I used to study tabla a little bit and is really awesome but really complicated with how they truncate things.
Been gaming since the first video game Pong. I grew up in game rooms and pool halls where I also saw a lot of bands. I'm 50 now and I still game, always will.
Nothing wrong with playing video games, regardless of age. They help maintain/improve your focus & reaction speed. Andy Timmons did a track for the Duke Nukem game. Just keep bringing us the freak, & you’ll be fine!🏆😎.
I LOVE the crunch sound you get by 2 finger banging that bottom low string on that pickup...Real RATTLE-CRUNCH...lolol...I remember Eddie Van Halen doing something similar on his Charvel on 'Romeo Delight' but the lower tuning here is really CRRRRRWWWLLL.......lol....Great stuff here....Love the triplets to 16ths...'sometimes you have to breathe'...lol
Great content here ! Very inspirational ! This serie of videos will help, for sure ! When do Freak GuitarCamp 2020 registration opens ? I don’t want to miss it this year !
Anyone remember the Unreal arena that was an apartment? I used to play that one for days on end. Quake, Doom, and anything else ID put out then was what I played in the early 90s too. Oh yeah, Sierra games when the creator of secrets of nimh was writing for them. Man this brings me back! 😂
I never could find that one on any of their consoles. That arena was a free download patch in like '96/'97 for the pc Unreal Tournament v. of that year. (the free to play one)
@@kungflucious2144 no this one was just the inside of an apartment. You could go in the oven, ductwork, tv stand..etc. I think I remember what you're talking about tho
This guy is too cool for words...
I love this guy

@Royal Makai It did the trick and I actually got access to my account again. I am so happy!
Thank you so much you saved my ass!
@Kashton Emiliano Happy to help =)

Back to the drawing board for me :D

"Pickup harassment" - new t-shirt in the making?!
It also perfectly describes how Quake players fight against each other
We love you Mattias and Freak Kitchen crew! Heres to Quake! Thanks for uploading so often these days! And I love your explanations and dialogue.

That fretboard makes me think I'm drunk :) Super impressed with your knowledge of Indian classical percussion. Love from India. Keep the gaming going!

The examples needs to be a song, holy fucking fuck, so tasteful, truly inspiration, and the videos are so fun to watch, just amazing

There are some great youtube channels and books out there about just Konnakol, get stuck in but really nothing beats the practice.

Ok I think you are the greatest guitarist/musician of this century hands down

My mind is blown wide open. Thank you for the Intel and groove.
Of course you would play QC, love it hahaha. That's another reason to get back into the game 😋

Quake 2 veteran and Smorgasbord and John Carpenter fan here 😂, love your work Mattias ❤️👍 - I also play Big Machine every now and again, love that.
You should do a collaboration with mick gordon for the new doom eternal, food for thought

hes like a really Scandinavian Dimebag
Totally different energies between the two.
Why is the need to compare anything with dimebag , jeez ...this dude has nothing to do in is approach to music , with him
I thought Viking fighter 😅
rao1087 i meant he looks like dimebag playing a practical joke on someone and dyed his hair and beard and shit.

So he didn't fart at 0:44 . He said later on the video that the carpenter did :D
Mattias! You are great rhythmic player! Meshuggah need's you!!!
