    Turn signal windshield washers and cruise control on the same side is new but will get to used to. Mid 20’s MPG highway is pretty good for a full size luxury sedan. Presenter kept dogging acceleration in Eco mode...Economy/comfort...what we don’t know is what was the condition of the tested vehicle is, fresh oil change, new plugs, tires, filters etc.... I just picked up a 11 E350 and feel power is pretty good even in ECO mode. When I get the phased maintenance overhaul I would project it to basically be a new car again. Filters, water pump, shocks, struts, belts, plugs, transmission service etc.....will do items in phases instead of all at once.

    I have owned a 2010 Mercedes-Benz W212 E350 for over two years. It is now eleven years old. It has 90,000 kilometres or 56,250 miles on the clock. When I put my foot down it has fantastic acceleration. If your 2011 E350 has poor acceleration you need to get it looked at because it is not right. Secondly, as pointed out by other viewers you can easily expand the map on the Nav screen by using the small silver colored wheel on the center console to adjust to full screen. You can also adjust the same small wheel to zoom in and have the map at various distances. The E class in Germany are used as Taxis so they have good build quality decent amount of room inside and a big trunk for luggage.

      70k miles is getting on the higher side. Make sure it comes with a warranty or you have a good mechanic who won’t rip you off. I’d recommend either looking for a lower mileage example or making sure you find someone you trust to fix it when it breaks. Also, any car you buy, make sure you get a pre-purchase inspection by a certified mechanic. Only costs like $100 but it will save you a lot of money and headache in the long run.

Like he stated it cost more for the E350 as far as maintenance goes and it will come to problems as it gets older. While the lexus gs350 will go into 300k miles easy by doing your standard maintenance and about 100$-150$ less each oil change and check up. Plus that GS engine is bullet proof! I just picked up the same car and color, only difference is it's 2010, At 63 just retired I have a c-300 2018 which I selling and keeping the 2010 because of 39K miles. it was 16,999
    I put down 4k now 13k, payment 240.00 verse a C-300 with 39k and payment of 430.00 so do the math. I don't need to impress anyone so you know where I'm going with this.
    retired you're on a fix income. So the smaller payment is a no brainer. Insurance is cheaper, and I can watch video's too. Can't do that without spending more and getting less in a
    later version of vehicle. 8/4/21

    I have mixed feelings about this video. Of course the car is not good on gas it's RWD. They have never been known to get good gas mileage & people who purchase them normally understands that. Also, how are you comparing a Accord or a Camry with an E class? They don't even compete with one another. This particular E class competes with the 5 series, Jaguar XF, Audi A6 & the Volvo S80 etc.. The E class is the better choice out of it's rivals when comparing to reliability.

      Forgive my ignorance. I thought the E Class in that year has the better, faster shifting tranny. If not, what year did they get the faster tranny?
      Also, approximately, how fast does it do 0-60?

    • @CarVisionLA
      @CarVisionLA  6 лет назад

      I don’t believe a faster tranny was introduced until the redesign in 2016 for the 2017 model year. I’ve driven the 2018 E400 and E300 and the transmission shifts much quicker. The tranny on the 2011 is extremely slow though. From my tests, the 0-60 time for the 2011 model is around 6.8 seconds.

    • @Oneness100
      @Oneness100 6 лет назад

      I'm in the market looking to buy a car and was just getting back into looking at what's available.
      0-60 in the 6's is just fine for me. Yeah, I don't like a log of lag, but I want something that's drivable. and I prefer to have it corner flat with good braking over being able to do 0-60 in the 5's or faster.
      I drove my father's Buick Grand National and that thing was very difficult to control, you had very little gas pedal travel before the thing kicked in and slammed you back in the seat as you begin to tailgate who's in front of you. I don't want a car that's too difficult to drive on the street. To me, 0-60 in the 6's is just fine for me.

    I've driven my friends 2013 e350, the air suspension to me freaked me out coming from a 2004 530i BMW when I felt everything in the road. Although the Mercedes drives like a cloud, the connection to the road is what I like, BMW is what I prefer. The Mercedes is boring, don't like the suspension but that's personal preference, steering wheel is also too loose. BMW is much more firm and I like that. And you're right, BMW Maintenance and Repairs will add up and extra $4,500! Over a 10 year period as opposed to Mercedes. But year by year they are pretty similar, if you cannot afford a German Luxury Car (Audi, Benz, BMW, etc) don't get one. If you cannot afford to maintain a BMW don't think you can afford the others as they are all relatively close to the same in maintenance and repairs.

    • @CarVisionLA
      @CarVisionLA  7 лет назад +1

      +Joey McMahon Jr I totally agree! I have an 06 Lexus IS350 and an 02 BMW 3-Series, both of which ride pretty harsh. The Mercedes was a completely different experience.

      The e350 does not come stock with air suspension. Only the e550 comes with air suspension. The reason I know is because if it did you will be able to lift the car via lift button in the vehicle.

    2nd
    These car are not built for U.S. roads. They are built for the autobahn.
    Sport mode is at 80mph. To accelerate quickly while driving YOU NEED TO PUSH DOWN ON THE ACCELERTOR TO FLOOR TIL IT CLICK. DO NOT COME OFF PEDDLE. When you have reached you have reached your desired speed you can cruise at that speed or slow it down.
    The Benz has many features. However, the must have made in Germany.
    If you do get it or understand you are NOT a Mercedes Benz driver.

    Great video! I have a 2011 e350 cabriolet - which took me about 0.5 seconds to fall in love with. My only complaint is that it's a real gas hog... not unusual for a motor that size, but considering its premium gas requirement, it stings a bit each time I
    fill it up (yep, let's go Brandon! :)
