Halloween (the original classic) holds a special place for me because it was the first movie I was allowed to rent on VHS (I had to rent the player too). By renting the VCR, which when I think back on it was roughly the size of a dorm room fridge, I got two “free” movies so it was Halloween and Excalibur and for the three days I had them I watched them continuously. I enjoyed Halloween II but the quality of the series fell off precipitously after that IMO though I enjoyed the last iteration and will pony up in 2021 to see what’s next in the saga. Keep up the great work James. I really dig that D&D shirt you’re sporting.
Before this "reboot" series brought the franchise back I had only seen the very original. I decided to give the new one a chance bc I am a Danny McBride fanboy. I'm stoked for the next 2 installments!
I’ll see it but I think you are right about the air being out of the story. The original stands as a great movie & that will never be the case no matter how many sequels/reboots/etc they make.
I prefer the original Black Christmas to the 1st Halloween. The Rob Zombie films was when the franchise was at its lowest. The latest one was extremely middling. Their good at getting the look of the first 3 films but the story is like moldy bread. If Myers can survive that raging fire he deserves another shot at his nemesis.
I am gutted , it is one of my top films to see this year. But yes the Original is the best . I dont mind the original sequel as i do treat it as one movie. The idea of having a Halloween movie which is not MM . We got the fantasic Halloween 3 Season of the Witch
1st- Halloween
2nd- Halloween (2018)
3rd- Halloween II (1981)
I think Halloween 3: Season of the Witch is an absolute masterpiece.
There's an argument to be made here.
Cough cough

Such a pity it's delayed...🎃🔪🔥But I guess it's all worth waiting to see it at the cinema!!!
Love the Shirt, man!
Movie looks fun too
I, too, am of a certain age. Halloween I - III are my favorites of the franchise... so far.
I didn't care for Halloween 3 but the first 2 were golden
Your pitch of the anthology series this could have turned into is super interesting, we'll live wondering what could have been after Silver Shamrock.

Did you review this? I'm trying to hear about why you ended up hating it. I personally hate Ends, but found Kills to be decent...

That teaser was pathetic. Funny not scary.
