    So tell me, why would you want an oscillating fan/air circulator that's circulating air in an area you're not sitting in as opposed to just having it pointed at you.

      I guess to cool the entire room, but you can turn off the oscillation

      I have one. It'll only benefit for people with a running AC. Helps circulate. I don't have an AC so, I keep it pointed at me or 30 degrees oscillation.

      @@ChardTheTechGuy Fans and air circulators don't lower the temperature of the air they're moving they just move it, the moving air increases the rate our bodies lose heat due to convection and evaporation.
