    Cool tutorial! But why don't use the generative fill layer from photoshop (save as psd instead of jpeg, turn off visibilty of background layer) to get rid of your subjects and text in the street sign example. Would be faster. Also saving 2x jpeg does degrade the quality (important if you want to colour grade the video afterwards.)

    • @Skymography
      @Skymography  10 месяцев назад

      Definitely a working method, and I agree about the jpeg - honestly, I should have picked png for lossless compression for this case, or a higher bit depth file format if I planned to do color after. Regardless, I like your solution!

    If you'd like to have abrasions and scratches on the text to make it blended more smoothly with the plate, you could use new sold - turbulent noise, adjust contrast, brightness, scale and complexity to match desired pattern and then use this solid as a matte for a text layer. (Pre-compose both, preferably)

    Thank you so much for this tutorial! It's awesome and I've never thought about it this way. I'm new to AE and have a couple questions if you don't mind!
    1- What's the advantage to doing it this way instead of just using the motion tracker? I feel like this is a bit more time consuming, or maybe I'm just slow in AE haha.
    2- What do you think of using the clone stamp tool for the sign instead of using Photoshop to generate the fill? Would it work?
    Thanks again :)

    And if you just rotoscope the subject / the thing you want to attach your text to, and you apply the warp stabilizer just to the roto may be it would work? But i don't think you can apply effect to the roto sometimes, so you will have to export the thing you want to attach your text to first ??
