Dude, so well spoken which makes it so easy to follow along. Definitely need to try animating textures like this next time!! Also the editing and pacing of the video was so good!!
This was an awesome watch, didn't think to layer the textures in that way. The end result is dope too! Keep the videos coming bro, best of luck with everything
Great video! I watched a lot of tutorials about textures before, but the seperation into whites-midtones-blacks definitely was a new approach for me! Gonna use that in my work from now on. I found you because of your work for simplicissimus. Keep up the good work!
Dude, thank you so much for this. I've been trying to figure out how to make these sort of flickering dot textures for literally weeks - this is exactly what I needed :). Cheers!
Ohhh my goodness. I’ve been wanting to know how you do what you do for years and I’m so grateful for you breaking it down so well. Thanks for this man!
This is absolutely incredible. I've always wondered about these sorts of textures but never really put the time in to figure it out. You made it so I didn't really need to, thank you so much! You explained everything so well that I was able to follow along in Fusion within Resolve instead of AE (I'm trying to learn and switch over). I can't wait to see your growth here! As for future content, I'd love to see the behind the scenes on some of your beautiful text animations.
Wow I love to hear that! Funny enough one way I learned a lot about After Effects is through Photoshop tutorials. So it goes to show they’re universal techniques :)
Superb job on the production of this video. I def would love to see some form of text revealing animations next, and the way your workflow is when creating things along the lines of such. Super excited to see how the channel flourishes in the near future!
What a great tutorial. I'll use this for sure thanks a lot! Do you think you could make a tutorial on the cool color animation that you had inside the text when you were showing the final product? Cheers
Awesome video Sky! I think this is really useful for someone with a general understanding of animation. Do you also plan on doing baseline tutorials for those completely new to the animation world in the future? As a complete novice, I think it would be great to see general tutorials on After effects, light variations, animation layers, or additive blending moods to name a few. Many of the concepts you covered could be teased out and made into their own videos. It would also add more content hours towards future monetisation requirements as well 😉. Thanks for making the vid! 🙏
One of the main ways I learned over the years of watching videos is from a mix of difficulties - even early on when I didn’t understand concepts fully, getting little bits from a video added to my knowledge. My goal here is to make videos for everyone, but landing closer to the middle than purely beginner. However, I think over time if beginners continue to watch and see how I do things they’ll eventually pick up some important tools and techniques :)
Would be cool to see how to make a travel map kind of effect. Hard to put into words but for example in Harry Potter you have this map that show secret passage ways. Would be cool to see how it would be possible to animate this.
dude you're stupid good. Like youre designs are so gorgeous that I don't want to watch the video 🤣. I'm like f that shit, thats another level LOL. Bravo my man
Optical Glow is part of VFX Suite which is made by Red Giant. It's part of a monthly subscription which can get a bit pricey, so if you want a cheaper but really good alternative to it, look up Deep Glow on the aescripts website. It's very similar and runs off the GPU but is a one time purchase instead!
Hey Sky, awesome walkthrough! I've always wondered how you made the "running effects" on the ground in Nathatniel's video: ruclips.net/video/BKCA8i4nWBI/видео.html, if you could comment or make a video about that, I'd really appreciate it! ^^)

Thank you Mapal 🫶
Love how your tutorials don't just tell you what to do but also make you understand why and how. Excited for the future of this channel

Excellent work! Love not just the amazing educational content, but also the incredible production value!
Stoked to see this, thanks for sharing! You're really stretching the use of a single texture by using neutral/light/dark versions of it, love it.
Glad to hear!
Ohhh my goodness. I’ve been wanting to know how you do what you do for years and I’m so grateful for you breaking it down so well. Thanks for this man!

Such a great tutorial. Thank you so much for being so clear. Side note: would love to see how you made your intro logo animation or something similar.

Where did you buy the Optical Glow plug-in?

I think I want to double subscribe 🤣
ahh, you didn't even show how you animated the text like that...
