What you showed is huge. It is perfect to get to know my competitors too. 30 Names on the notepad - got it!
Miles, what do I do if my niche is a dieting plan, and the next page like has an audience of about 10 million? (In the video, yours has 464k followed by 25k) This is way too broad and you said as rule of thumb we should use 30 different pages. Should I scroll all the way down and deliberately pick the ones with lowest likes, or just pick that one page then instead of 30?
Definitely too broad to jump into there... But you can add an 'and' interest... To search for people who like this page AND another page that is also big and hyper relevant. Then you get the overlap of only the people who like both... This can be a great targeting method.
Add the big audience first in the ad set under interests... Then under that you will see a link pop up that says "Narrow Audience" and then it pops up another interest box that says "and MUST ALSO match at least ONE of the following"
This way you can find people who like 'Paleo Diet Plan' and 'Green Smoothie' or whatever... But make sure both audiences are hyper relevant from the get go.
And... Be sure to test this adset by itself against a second adset where you have a collection of smaller and hyper relevant interests... With two big pages, the odds of having other advertisers bidding on them is relatively high, so that could bump your cost, but if they are relevant enough it could be worth it.
Usually, finding the interests that are relevant and take some digging means fewer other advertisers are bidding on that placement and you can generally get a better cost per click... BUT... It is all about the cost per customer, not cost per click... So monitor both ad sets all the way to the $$$!!!! Sometimes a higher CPC results in a lower Cost per customer acquisition and is well worth it in the long run!
Thanks a lot for the thoughtful reply man, will look into this!
Miles my name is Larry Wheelz and I want to say thank you for creating this video. I’ve been trying to figure out how to hone in on my targeting for Facebook and your video really helped out. Been at this for 8 years and have never made a single sale running Facebook ads. Thank you! I appreciate it.
Great to hear!
Miles, any updates?
This is probably one of the best channels on youtube. Whenever I think like I have learnt about online business, there is always something new here. Great work Miles. now time to take action
+James Ssekamatte so glad to hear that... I'm going to keep at it as long as you keep taking action!
Sure I will. Oh btw I had earlier set up a website but i built it using the spacious theme. Is it possible for me to create an effective funnel based on that theme? or do you recommend that I change the site to thrive themes?
No idea, never used that theme. Everything is customizable, so if you have CSS skills or hire a developer... I'm guessing it is possible, but probably a lot of work.
alright. Thank you
Hi Miles! One quick question: Are you using these targeted interests with lookalikeaudiences or pure?
Many thanks!
Hey Miles, thank you so much for your valuable videos on target marketing!! You are super helpful. Sometimes I find my competitors page with a large following but it does not pull up in the interests section. Is there a work around to get access to their customers? Thanks in advance 😊
Its nice to have the feeling of finally finding what I was looking for. Probably the most insigtful and valuable "Facebook Ad" video I've seen so far. Looking forward to digging into the rest of your content
+Daud Mohamed Happy we've connected!
AN ABSOLUTE GREAT VIDEOOOO!!! WAS SOOOOOO helpful! My goodness! Thanks so much!
Great teaching Miles! Awesome insights... thanks for the value.
+Gordon Attard my pleasure! This tool and marketing method works really well once it is dialed in... Worth the time and effort for sure.
Hi Miles, is it possible to do a video or provide insight on how to target clients of another brand, I m finding it hard to understand which clients will convert on Facebook and my campaigns have been unsuccessful, zero conversion for fine jewelry which is a hard to get in the market, or is it ? Thanks
Miles! Thanks for this! I really have a hard time finding the right expert to watch on RUclips (given that there's just so many) I really find your videos straight to the point yet detailed at the same time! This is really helpful! Looking forward for more
This might sound like a silly question however, when targeting your audience, is it "cheating" to directly target a competing brand or store that offers similar products and services? Wouldn't that be a better start than something somewhat as elusive as an author who might appeal to varying niches? Thanks in advance.
Definitely not cheating!
Couple things... I do info-products, so authors and books 'fit' with what I do very well... I teach what I know.
Second, if it is a HUGE brand or store, like 'WalMart' by targeting them you are going to be too broad and have thousands of other advertisers competing with you for those users. Plus, if they bought the widget that fixes their problem and 'liked it' on FB... Do they need another one? Maybe... If it is consumable. But if they've itched the scratch, it isn't a good audience.
The deeper you go in the interests, the more you find the ones that very few (if any) advertisers are targeting AND that are hyper-relevant... So you get a good deal and have a high probability of converting!
So what 'problems' does this hypothetical brand/store solve for people? Image? DIY home repair? Gardening supplies? Then, once you figure that out, what books and authors teach people how to do this too? People who are buying and liking books on the topic are interested in information (and products) that can solve their problems.
You rock Miles, thanks for the prompt response!
Your account is infinitely more helpful than most paid courses I've seen. Thank you. Btw, I just realized you were Melanie Beckler's husband. I've been a subscriber and fan of Ask-Angels since last year!! Not sure what I'd do without her channel. Super happy to discover your videos now since I'm trying to master FB ads to promote my book! Crazy how that works out!
Hey mate, very insightful however the option of lifestyle demographic is absent from audience insights. Do you know if this is something FB has removed from the tool?
yes they have removed many of the fields that we used to get access to... this is a byproduct of some of their scandals
Hey man. I am from brazil, I just found you on the RUclips and I am loving your tips. Thanks.
One big doubt I always has, how big must to be the audience for running a campaign, if i am not wrong, said about 300 500k
"If is not that sorry about my no too good English. "
And how to balance budget for that audience size.? I meant because I pay to much people are starting to see the ads over and over again and I will just losing money through away.
Thanks for the video man.
watch this video : ruclips.net/video/tVwGM3dRBVA/видео.html
Then all of the videos on this page: www.milesbeckler.com/5-facebook-ads
Very helpful - subbed! So with that 30 names on the notepad - Do I put all of them as Interests into one Ad's Audience? Thanks Miles!
Separate them out to test them against eachother... This video shows how: ruclips.net/video/g9JfWuZJ5-M/видео.html
Great videos mike! Just a fun question though, does Tony Robbins pays you a fee for advertisement? hahaha I just can't find a video where you don't mention him! :P (just kidding! Keep up the good work!)
Hahahaha... he should! :D He's such a BIG target, just too easy! lol.
Thanks for the comment!
Probably been asked a million times, so I guess I'm one million and one now. lol ...The whole 30 interest thing is confusing to me. I find 30 interest then test all 30 together in one ad? Can I test for example, one interest or two while adding (job title) to narrow down? This is my first add as Im a rookie at fb. Thx in advance
You can definitely split test your interests into different ad sets... here is how: ruclips.net/video/7UesAE9uqZs/видео.html
And if you have one MASSIVE audience with all 30 then yes.
The real goal of this exercise is to force you to dig in and do more research than your competitors and to find the interests that no one else is marketing to. Then, yes... In execution you can split them out to see which are indeed best for you.
Dear Miles, as facebook doesn't promote external links that take the users off Facebook , what is the best organic method you know to get them to our content on website, utube etc? Can you make a "blueprint tactics" video of this subject? I guess it's has to do with the principle of 'Jab, Jab, Jab, Right Hook' and would to know how it's translated technically in Facebook. Thanks you :-)
+Roy Zakai FB is definitely against this in a major way. It is tough and I prefer Pinterest and Google traffic, personally. That said we have been running contests and that is working for list growth... But for nearly 1 million on our fanpage the organic traffic is TINY...
I c... so considering Facebook in this case only with campaign..Thanks Miles!
Thank you for this video.....its really insightful
Miles your videos are actual FB ads training! It's awesome you provide for free! THX so much.
Hi Miles, Thanks for the great info, as usual.
Question: on my Facebook Insights (July 2018) I don't see the ability to look at "Household" or "Purchases" information. Are these tabs still available on your Facebook Insights, or is it something Facebook has done away with?
Thanks again
Done away with... They are trimming this tool a lot lately.
Thank you! Good luck with all you do. Been pounding the pavement on learning all this stuff and this was a great explanation.
Hi Miles, I'm a touring musician. How can I use Facebook to attract audience to a concert in a particular place?
I thought about exposure in the pre-arrival period ( about a month ) with building a relevant audience based on what you taught in your videos to build a custom engaged audience . Then publish the concert details for the relevant local audience ( as an event??). Does this strategy sound reasonable to you and what campaign options would you choose? Thanks you for sharing and giving.
A big question is going to be what the value of the audience is... Could get expensive quick and if you aren't earning $20 - $40 each, then it could be cashflow negative.
I'd advertise afternoon of, super short notice... Catch the people who are bored and on their phone looking at Facebook, but within a couple miles of the venue.
Building up an email list and an audience on RUclips, Google, etc is a great long term plan.
Thanks Miles, I'll do it and let you know how was it.
Miles Beckler hi Miles I got to Barcelona for 3 concerts here. I want to apply what you have recommended me with a short Facebook campaign a few hours before the concert starts. What objective should I choose? Thank again for everything.
I followed most of your advice, and now on my latest campaign I'm getting a CPC of $0.47 and a CTR (Link Click-Through Rate) of 3.16%. I like the CTR, I wish the CPC was a little lower. I am bidding .60 per click , however. Reach is now 588 and my relevance is 7.
Again, thanks so much for the advice, I finally bit the bullet and am actually using the Power Editor. FB has of course revamped the UI since you did your videos, but functionally it's pretty much the same.
+Cosmic Encounter I will do another how to advertise on Facebook video soon with the new look.
What is your cost per lead? Have you made any sales? How much for a customer? Those are the most important metrics to track starting.
Miles, ok...ready for my first official facebook ad with a real product(online course). I think I got it, but...is this what your telling us: 1. Create an ad. 2. Create several 'sets' of different audiences, one per set(I was able to come up with 15). 3. create the sets using the original ad, so not different ads, but different sets of audiences. 4. $5 a day PER SET and then watch closely to see what SET is doing the best. 5. Close the SETS that aren't performing well and increase the budget to the few that are. But in all, Don't change the ad...just the audience? Just in case anyone else is slow on the uptake like I am...thanks for all you do Miles...you're one of the few HONEST people out here anymore...
LEW! great to see you around. You definitely have the process figured out. this video explains the whole system in one shot: ruclips.net/video/t1d08czhQ-E/видео.html this video shows how to set up (the interface is changed a little but the theory is still sound) ruclips.net/video/g9JfWuZJ5-M/видео.html
Then this video shows how to analyze the data so you know which ones to turn off and which ones to keep ruclips.net/video/mcAE1CX-09Q/видео.html
highly recommend you have an opt in page at the beginning so you're building a list while you're promoting in case your ads don't convert the sales right away, if you grow a list you can build a relationship with them and make sales in the future
Very very informative, appreciate the way you have put this. Just wondering how to start the interests for a Food Snack Product just in case. Appreciate if you could guide me. Thanks in advance. BTW I just subscribed. :-)
search for other food snacks people like
Why don’t you save the searches as a new audience? Can’t you pull these into ad manager when you are ready to use that audience. Great vid. Thanks. Will also sign up for KWFinder through you.
just a force of habit I guess... I appreciate you
Hey Miles, Thanks to your awesome content , I' am finally learning what the work is I must do. On my inspirational organic face book posts I have reached 1500. people with 800. responses. Done some boosting also. As a mindset Coach this video is right up my alley. after 5 years I am staring to understand what the analysis means. # bad ass
Right on Eve!
FINALLY! Very insightful and straightforward! and Now I know how to find my audience! Thank you so much!
:D
Hi Miles, I'm completing Facebook ads for customers in the UK. However, the page likes isn't available. Would you recommend I go ahead with using U.S data or something else? Thanks!
Not sure if this is a temporary error or what.... But this is my work-around ruclips.net/video/nZGAiP-8dgY/видео.html
Hey Miles, great video! So much value! Just a quick question. I'm using Facebook Business Manager for my business page, it's great for ads although when I try and boost posts and other stuff it won't allow me. When I disconnect my page from Ads manager I then can do that stuff.
Do you know how to fix this? or know a vid I could watch that would cover this? Thanks!
No clue, never heard of that
Great video! didn't know this tool existed. My ads have been running for a few days and I have noticed some trends like 25-35 year old's producing a poor CPC. Will facebook automatically optimize this by showing my ads to fewer people in this age group or should I be tweaking my filters manually?
It depends on what kind of campaign you're running… If you're running a website conversion campaign, yes they will optimize for the type of people who convert
Subscribed! What is the usual money/clicks ratio is on facebook? How much for a week of succesfull campaign? Whatsoftwares do you use??
Varies based on niche... I use Facebook's power editor
Hey Miles. Thank you for your guidance. Your videos are so helpful. I am doing research and found it hard to narrow down my audiences. We are local business (music school) and target area in radius of 10 miles. So, I have to go more broad in order to create an audience of 10k + What would you suggest to local businesses like us? How do you vary with different audiences, if they are too small, in order to reach your ideal client?
Target parents in a certain age range
Thanks Miles. We do target parents age 25-55. Mostly moms (female). I just find it challenging to build different audiences based on the criteria of my ideal client, it gets blind pretty quickly and we stop getting leads. I also target different areas and play with postal codes. Would you suggest to play with different ages, gender or parents categories. Right now I target all parent. Also. would you still target a small audience of 2K? I found it from my biggest competitor. Please advise.
Hi Miles, I would like to ask you why I can find some competitors on the filters and not all, i.e:
I find EF but not others that I need
Another great video Miles--full of super actionable advice. Thanks. going through each video in this playlist and should be ready for my mid-term soon! ;-).
Mid-terms! Great idea! hahahaha
Miles Becker...my brother thank you soo much i just received my login to your free course 7 step blueprint OMG You are truly blessed! I have this feeling Miles God(Allah) Has beautiful gift awaiting for you that are countless beyond heavens. May you always be blessed...your sincerity to help gives me hope and tears
Cheers!
Hey Miles, Thanks to you I posted my first Facebook ad! Thanks for everything! You forgot to mention that you are going to actually dream about facebook ads all night afterwards :)
+Dave LaFreniere hahahaha... Dreaming about FB ads is new to me, but I have had many marketing funnel dreams! Lol.
HI MYles, what SOFTWAre do you use to teach your videos?
www.milesbeckler.com/screencast
THANKS!! Already have 21 on my list and still more to check out. This video went into my Facebook playlist.
Awesome! Great to hear you are taking action! :D
I worked in an Ad agency and what this guys is saying people would pay $1,000 for ... I've watched this video three times now. Love it! Miles, where's the next video after this to watch?
Thanks for your kind words... Glad you like the content.
Miles, I have a question. I own a unique business, "mobile video game truck" and "mobile laser tag", so how do I go deep in the niche to search in the interest. Thanks, 2nd question also, which video should I really be starting with?
+Moe the customer avatar content! Get into the mind/life of your customer and know why they want what you have and everything gets easier!
Miles, I just recently discovered you and your knowledge in FB ads. Great content! I’m not sure how much of this is still relevant considering I’m a year late to these videos, but I was wondering is there a specific sequence in these FB ads videos? I seem to be jumping around and in each one you mention that i should have checked out your other video prior to the one I’m currently watching. Thanks for sharing all your knowledge!
obviously it depends a lot on where you're at in the process… If you have your pixel set up, custom conversions, etc. I have two posts on my site that really layout the process. this is how I structure my campaigns and analyze the data: www.milesbeckler.com/5-facebook-ads/
This post has all of the little bits and pieces like custom conversions, pixels, etc. www.milesbeckler.com/how-to-advertise-on-facebook/
Miles Beckler thank you! I’m at the beginning stages and having difficulty figuring out my online product. But it was nice to have found you! Thanks for all the info.
Hi Miles loved this video!! So so helpful. Just wondering which video follows this showing how to create the campaign? Facebook ad newbie over here :D
+Shannon Brown ruclips.net/video/XYY6zn3c8Xk/видео.html
Hi Miles, how would I use this for selling term life insurance? When everyone needs it and it’s not exactly something people “like”. Thanks for all the value.
Gotta get more creative... What is the point in life when people start thinking about term ins? When does it become 'urgent' that they buy?
Then what else is going on in their world that they would like? Could be 'liking gerber baby food' because they have a baby now and it matters.
Don't be too literal in the tool... Get in the user's head.... Get in their mindset, their life story, paint a REAL picture.
I do the same. But in page likes always Family Guy, Adam Sendler, National Geographic etc.
Yep, looks like Facebook rolled an update to this tool and have muddied the water...
Great video Miles, thanks for all the helpful tips. I see how if you're selling a product your video would be spot on, but what advice or tips would you have for someone who is trying to gain leads for a motivational speaker to get hired? I have a booking agency and want to market my speakers to get booked for speaking gigs. How would I begin targeting my audience and setting up ads to be hired essentially? Any advice would be awesome, thanks for your time and keep the videos coming!
So, you gotta start with who you are reaching out to... Who books speakers? Then, what are their problems/needs? Then, what are their online browsing habits?
You may find that Facebook is not the place to advertise... You may find that most of the people trying to book talent are searching RUclips looking for keynote speakers and having RUclips ads that lead to a free video demo of a keynote of your performer would work better...
It is all about getting into the head/heart/life of the person who ultimately books your clients... Then reverse engineering what she does, her behaviors, where she looks, how she looks, etc...
From this, you can find out where she spends her time *when looking for speakers* and get your message to show up there...
Displaying your ad to her at night after she is home may not work... And she may not be on Facebook during the day when she is thinking about this problem...
I have no data to back that all up, just gut instinct.... Testing will tell for sure. Just wanted to give you some additional ideas to think about.
This is really great! Can't believe you dished out this info for free. I have a question please, is it possible to install Facebook pixel in a Facebook page instead your website???.
Cheers Harrison. Glad you like this one! you can't install a pixel on the fan page, but you do have the ability to analyze audiences and re-target people who like your fan page… As well as people who engage with posts on your fan page, etc. so although they don't give you the ability to add the pixel, you do have some abilities to leverage the benefits of the pixel since it's on Facebook platform
Although this video is older, I am just seeing this and will use your tips. Great info Miles. Thank you.
This tool has changed a bit but it still ROCKS!
Great tutorial. Very well done. Thanks a bunch for taking the time to share. Much appreciated.
My pleasure
Great tips! Thank you! 😃 I am running these with my wife's customised mug business. Seems that aged 24 to 33 are our best responders.
Great data to have!
Thanks a lot Miles for all the help. You cant imagine how valuable this time was. May God Bless you in whatever you do! :)
Do you have any video explaining how to use those 30 competitors list?
Cuz I'm a litle bit confuse with that :)
Those 30 competitors that you're getting from the audience insights tool go inside of your ad campaign at the ad set level. This video shows the ad set level in detail... This link will start you at the point in the video where I show exactly where to put these: ruclips.net/video/9iZ_feO4VmM/видео.htmlm54s
This is the full video on how to advertise on facebook that shows even more: ruclips.net/video/XYY6zn3c8Xk/видео.html
Awesome insight miles! thanks for your help.Do you have an contact email? Thanks
Hey Matt... Glad you liked it. My inbox is overflowing, so no go there.
Just recently came across your videos and subscribed. This is golden my friend. Thank you for sharing your insights and time. I will continue to go through your information.
My pleasure, Marie! :D Glad you like it!
Miles, thank for sharing such wonderful video. I had a question here. How come audience insight Interests section, don't allow to narrow down interest like what I can do in ads manager. If don't had this, I can't really narrow down my audience.
because Facebook
Hi Miles. The video is great. How about looking for the narrow audience for toys. Do you have an idea where I could start narrowing it. Too big audience. Thanks.
Start with the question of 'who buys toys' and then figure out what they like....
Hey Miles when you look for a fan page do you try to keep the likes and followers of that page down to about 500K? So you want to avoid pages for "big name" companies?
+Nam Vaidhayakul if possible yes... Mainly because 'big name' companies and brands receive more advertisers competing for their audience. I look for the less competitive interests.
Wow, wow, wow! Thank you so much. You answered many questions I have been struggling to answer regarding the FB target audience tool. I am so excited to put this information to work.
Right on. Glad you found this!
Hey Miles! Thanks for the insights brotha Gary Vee’s last video made me want to focus more on Facebook and Instagram ad marketing. My biz is mostly Powerwashing and concrete sealing. Your video helps in creating ads but I feel confused at how to adjust it specifically for my business. Would appreciate your help greatly!
great video! I'm very new at this and I'm beginning to feel like market research and finding an audience with high demand is probably the most important part of creating a successful online business. this video explains how to find one fairly well. i wouldn't have minded if you extended this video and shared more of your thought process while working on finding a responsive audience.
Your videos are great! How do you create a custom audience with just customer's names on facebook and not from emails? I see an option for first names and last names but when I copy a list of first and last names it does not seem to work.
+Lace & Envy need emails...
Does the insights demographics info work in this fashion - franchise business, you plug the corporate Facebook page in insights. Can a franchisee then use those demographics and page likes to run their own ads? In theory, wouldn’t it be the same for the franchise or and franchisee?
You can probably target the interest of your home company but not fans of the fanpage unless you own/control that fanpage.
So you've created your ad and have the "watch more" button and have your website on the ad..How do U link your opt-in page to the ad? If they click on watch more where does it take them ?
You set your ad destination in the ad... www.milesbeckler.com/how-to-advertise-on-facebook has the whole process laid out.
You answered my question about some interests not appearing, and that is no one knows why. Excellent videos and easy to follow. Thanks
Glad you liked it Stuart... Facebook is finicky, to say the least! And if we always try to understand why Facebook does what it does we drive ourselves insane! :D Glad this video cleared it up for you.
great video as always! Hey Miles, do you notice that the affinity column is not available anymore? Wonder how can we gauge affinity now :(
It is simply merged into the relevance score on the "Page Likes" section below... #1 is the most relevant, #2 is second most.... Just like #1 was highest affinity and #2 was second highest. Still works the same, just looks a little different.
Hey Miles, I see what pages that my audience like. But, I can't put it into the interest section, It's like Facebook doesn't recognise them.
+Amir Amran totally normal. Just keep researching until you find the ones that do show up.
great technique, even though I do not agree much on the Amazon Kindle thing, because most of these books are not real authors and body can publish a book on Amazon, by any name, right?
All authors, major published authors and the types your mentioning, show up on Amazon… Doing effective research takes time to separate the wheat from the chaff
great value! keep em coming. I hope people are supporting your business.
you have explained so well.. ' how to find your audience'. However, it would be great if you could explain the other tools and insights as well.
Check out this playlist: ruclips.net/video/AIZxKpnesTw/видео.html
Man this is what I call over delivering...I will buy from this guy
Hahahha, right on! Glad you liked it... too bad I'm not selling anything! lol. happy to help, tho!
So after you get all your 30 "Tony Robbins" , how in the world would you contact them and get them to work with you? These people are often times hard to catch or not at all.
You are able to target your ads on Facebook to people who like them on Facebook
You are killing it. Been looking for days for videos like these. Now I have a real plan to get started
A very informative and resourceful video. I need to thank you for sharing this. Detail targeting is the heart of an Ad Campaign.
It is my pleasure. I'm glad you caught this video
i have a problem in audience insights. if i type a interest it shows very different pagelikes, not even a single interest matches the pagelikes. i also check your eg "tony ribbons" from the video but i doesnt show the pagelikes as in your video it shows different interests. please help me....
+madhu mika look for my newest vid on the audience insights alternative... It is in the description
Off topic here. Miles i know u do meditation, its ramadhan and muslim talks about angel a lot here. Would u check angels in islam?
Not my realm of expertise
just about to set up my first FB campaigns, really helpful video
Remember that buying traffic on Facebook is an investment in your business… It's not an expense. If your cash flow negative for the first couple of months but you're learning about the words, phrases, ads that get your market to take action… Your learning valuable information that can serve you in your business for life! Took me a few months to become breakeven at Facebook, so stick with it for the long term!
Miles, thanks again for the awesome content! May I know what tools you used to screenshare your live Facebook demo and also, how do you toggle the screen to show both your face and the screen concurrently?
Screen cast O-Matic
Thanks Miles. Have you published the video on split testing audiences that you mention in this video? Id love to see it! Thanks! Chris
Yep, just search my channel!
HOLY COW. Must Watch. GOLD GOLD here. For free. No pitchfest. Serious marketer who is teaching without pitching. AWESOME. Hope you make a ton of money from RUclips ads buddy. Thanks. I am kicking myself for buying dozens of UDEMY courses. This stuff is FAR superior.
Right on Ed! Thanks so much for your kind words... Glad you are enjoying the videos and the content. Sorry to hear about your Udemy experiences. I got fed up with the whole 'fake guru' products myself, so I figured I'd just share what I know.
Not even running RUclips ads yet... lol.
Fun to get to put out content for the love of what I do instead of doing so because I need to make $$$... Byproduct of having a successful niche authority site that I do all this marketing for. :D
Miles Beckler very thankful for all the effort and hard work you put forth to do these thoughtful videos.
HELP. Where is Audience Insights now? It seems it has disappeared?
I've heard that from a few people, still there for me :-/ Are you using Chrome browser? No ad blockers or anything like that?
hey thank you. good sharing. hope more will coming. thanks from Malaysia ;)
Great video brother build good foundation to start with through good research and test is real work something that only the top 10% do and that will never change no magic button to success in any business model or niche
+Derrick Soto 💯 so many people rush the research (or skip it) and it is the key step to everything else working!
Thanks Miles for show me how to do research on Facebook. I just use it and it works great. Thanks again
Right on! This tool is super powerful and lets us get into the data Facebook is tracking on all of us... Might as well use that for growing our businesses!
Great tip..never thought of using the audience insights to validate our targeting. Thanks
You are welcome

Hey Miles, great video. Where are you living in Thailand?
I was just there for 2 months, mainly in Chiang Mai. But in N. America for summer at this point.
HEELP PLEASE! I want to sell an apple computer in my country, so I put apple, and it gives me "BIG MANZANA" (when I go to like pages tab) so I try to put "BIG MANZANA" in the interest area, and I can't, like I don't have the option of put that on interest. Can someone help me please?
I don't think that is relevant.
Thanks a lot for you answer Miles, I want to go deeper like you did with Tony Robbins, something like this never happen to you?
Hey Miles, great video! Do you add all of these audiences together in one Ad Set or each one separately?
Separately... this post breaks down the process www.milesbeckler.com/5-facebook-ads/
Just getting started with my own FB ads and found this video. SO helpful! Forgive my ignorance, but once you've created the audience what do you do next? Do you save it to custom audiences? Do you have a way to keep track of naming things? How many from the list of 30 would you target in one ad?
one interest per ad set... I do like 30 ad sets in 1 campaign. Check this post and the vids in it for my strategy: www.milesbeckler.com/5-facebook-ads/
Miles Beckler thanks for the reply. one more question if you don't mind... how does this interest selection relate to custom audiences, like look-a-like audiences, etc?
Miles I am really new at this, I find visual learning for me is best. Is it possible to get a few links to some of your affiliate/sites pages I can take a look at?
Milesbeckler.com
I'm trying to get page likes info, but I get the icon that there's not enough info regardless of the audience size
Looks like FB may be changing the game again... See the 2nd update to this for the alternative.
This have been REALLY helpful. Just to clarify. Do you end up using the big names like, Tony Robbins? Or just the smaller or other 'interests'? And do you plug in all 30 in your facebook ads?
My goal is to find the most relevant, whether they are big names or small names. To get a list of 30, the big names usually come 'easily' and then I have to dig in to Amazon, Google, FB and YT to find the smaller ones.
I do mash all of them into the adset, but sometimes, if I have one really really big interest (like Tony Robbins being 2.5 million where the other 29 add up to 2 million) I would split test them against eachother to see what my cost per customer is with both and then adjust my approach accordingly.
Okay. Thank you!
Awesome video. Really easy to understand and on point! keep it up man ! thanks for sharing this.
Glad you enjoyed... Appreciate the comment!
Thank you for this amazing video!!! Do you limit each item to keep only those that have an audience of between 50,000-2 million when they stand alone? Also, do you aim to put on the list the lesser known names so the CPL is more likely to be lower, or you sample everything and see what results show up in the testing?
I don't really limit them. If I'm able to target them with an ad set I do even if they're small… I just don't put large budgets towards small audiences, but I keep them all separated when I run ads because I want to be able to test them against each other to find out which audience segments give me the best return on investment
@@MilesB Thank you for the info!
miles, you're just too awesome. Love everything you do. Bless
What if your product is windows and doors.... who would be the interest?
People who need windows and doors
