    I had been looking for a nice, easy crochet shawl pattern but was not having any luck, until now. This shawl is beautiful. It has nice, clean pattern lines that can showcase yarn color changes. It looks so elegant. Thank you for making this video and sharing it with us!

    I ABSOLUTELY loved your pattern for this shawl! I am using Loren natural baby 85%cotton 15% polyester. In a light washed denim blue color. I wanted a design that was more gentle and not bulky. It's the perfect combination, your pattern & my yarn I chose. LOVE LOVE LOVE it!! 🧶😚🥰💋👏🏼🤗🙏🏼👍🏼

      I've been crafting since my grandmother started teaching me at age 5. I can hold my own , however, at my age now, the computerized world has become a major obstacle in my life. I struggle to find the essential info needed for a simple project. For example: exact type, weight, brand of yarn. The amount needed, the hook sz , Etc! I see so many projects on U Tube that I think I could manage but can't get past the technical computerized block. It's very discouraging & frustrating!
      What ever happened to good old fashioned explicit "hard copy"
      instructions?!!!

    • @TheWovenSoul
      @TheWovenSoul Год назад +1

      @dianneclark472 they're still out there. Often these video tutorials will have a written pattern that you use. If you look under the video, you'll see the word 'more' when you click on that, it opens the description box which has a blue click able link which takes you to the written pattern, which can be printed off.
      There's a fair few youtubers who do this with their crochet patterns.
      Ravelry...is a website that offers written patterns.

    I just finished my shawl. I used Scheepjes "Raspberry Rocky Road," beginning with the grey and ending with the pink. I thought the pink would never show up bec. the greys went on forever but it turned out perfect. Even though it was double crochet, I too found it difficult to keep count at first. What I ended up doing was making sure I used a stitch marker at either end so I would know what stitch to put the 3 double crochets into. I also divided up the stitch count onto halves, especially as the rows got bigger. For example , Row 22 is suppose to have 134 stitches. I divided it by 2 and got 67. It is easier to count half of the stitches up to the middle and then the rest of the 67 stitches when you finished the row. I had zero problems after I did this. Hope this has been helpful for those having problems with the stitch count and thanks Wilma for a lovely pattern! :)

Lots of frogging 🐸 as a beginner, even though your tutorial is great, at some point maybe it will click. I’ve actually done two penguins 🐧 in amigurumi but new to crocheting in general. Love your designs, they’re beautiful!

      This is a scarf, but if you use fingering weight yarn (and crochet hook size 3.5mm or 4mm) + double the amount of stitches, it would make a beautiful wrap! It's a very simple pattern: wilmade.com/awesome-andrea-scarf

    IMO this is not for beginners, especially since after the first two rows you're on your own and see nothing more, not even the finished product at the end except from a distance where you can't see any detail. Thanks, but my mistake for selecting a video that's only 4.5 minutes.
