As a LAL fan, seeing the two best players be from the team brings both optimism but also frustration. It’s confirmation what the REAL fans already know, not y’all ’primetime, 1st take highlights only’ observers. Coach Ham was indeed trash and our center depth has been abysmal. If we had any depth at the C position or a better coach we beat DEN at least once the past two season and have 1 more chip.
Thats like saying if Denver had more depth this year they win the chip...or if the bucks didnt always have to deal with injuries, they would have another...the list goes on and on...every team has "ifs"

Bingo, you couldnt be more on point. LAL front office has failed LAL, not LBJ & AD.. Very similar to Embiid situation in PHI- imagine not having back up legit Centers for AD & Embiid, two of the more injury prone players who need to be healthy to have any post season success. Pure negligence from LAL & PHI (who I know just got drummond but its been since he was on the team last that they had a decent back up, which is years!)

They can't shut Lebron down, especially in the post. The only reason Lebron can't dominate on the Lakers like this anymore is because he's always gassed by the 3rd and 4th quarter. He plays far too many minutes in the NBA for his age, but in the Olympics, there are only 40 minutes. Plus, he has an all-star squad to help carry the load.
With all American highlights you would never know it was a 1 point game going into the last 2 minutes,

Team USA is old and they just got together they dont have as much synergy as other teams. Meanwhile other teams are putting 200% effort into their game because they want to prove they can beat USA when Team USA is barely able to reach their 100%. They can't reach 100% because they're all MVPs they don't know how to play with each other because they can all 1v5 those other teams that's why the scores are this close.

The fiba ruleset is better. The closer 3 point arch makes it actually harder to score from 3 since it is easier to defend the perimeter. I would love to see one unified ruleset.

KD is TEAM USA's TOP GUNNER (BEST PERIMETER SCORER 🎯) in his previous stints in 2012/2016/2020. TEAM USA can do a better job on defending their OPPONENTS PERIMETER SHOOTING. SOUTH SUDAN and GERMANY killed them with their 3pt SHOOTING. STEVE KERR/COACHING STAFF has their work cut out on this, to prepare TEAM USA to contest and contain the OPPOSING TEAMS PERIMETER SHOOTERS from scoring.
