    If it makes you feel any better Benny, I have been stuck in England for the last 15 years, coming from Jbay and not surfed much in all this time!
    At least I'm moving to the Sunshine coast QLD soon, so I can froth on the knee high waves you're bummed about :)

    Nice review! It's so helpful to have a detailed description of the surfboards like this.
    I would like to know the main differences between this board and the new Rocker Redux (which one lets you get in earlier, best wave size and type to ride, performing in turns,…)
    Thanks bro!

    Great review, as always. I was just wondering how much longer you went on the quiver killer than the short round. I've currently got the short round in LibTech so it's slightly different dims to the stock PU template. I ride that in the 6'0. Keep the videos coming. 🤙

    Hi Benny. Your 4 years old clips are still watched - even in Switzerland ;) Great work! How do you compare the Quiver Killer to the V3 Round It? I surf the V3 Rocket 6' and a Round Up 6'6 as a Step Up. And I'm looking for something smaller than my Round Up, but for the punchier days in France. Thanks your your reply!

    Yes, San Diego was firing last week... This is my first winter in SD and it has not disappointed thus far! How would you compare this Lost Quiver Killer to the new JS BlackBox Round Tail? I'm looking for a higher volume short board that can handle small surf but step up to head high plus... in essence, a quiver killer haha. I know you have reviewed and ridden both and would appreciate your insight. Keep charging. ~Chaz

    Hello, I am 30 yo Intermediate level surfer, 68kg.
    I mostly surf in powerless beach breaks with a Baby Buggy 5'8"(carbon wrap).
    I want to complete my quiver with a board for the bigger days, also for surftrips. A board that gives me more confidence and stability in overhead days and/or in hollow waves.
    I hesitate a lot between Quiver Killer and the Round Up. Which one do you recomend me?
    I am thinking about 5'10-5'11 dim.
    Thank you!

    Hey Benny thanks for all the reviews. I'm trying to decide between the quiver killer and short round. I'm 6'4 and weigh about 220.. Right now I'm surfing a 6'2 sharp-eye disco with 35 liters. I don't have too much trouble getting into waves, but when I'm dropping into a wave my foot placement has to be perfect or else sides of the board will dig into the wave and I'll loose speed. I also live in northeast FL, so we have pretty average waves unless there's a hurricane. I'm looking for a board that I can surf in average waves, but one that can also hold up in above average waves in Nica... I appreciate any feedback!

  • @captieye
    @captieye 7 лет назад

    total serious question, why do you ride these board so big....I almost went bigger after I got the 5'10 short round because I thought the board just didn't get up and go like I anticipated, but I instead went smaller and did the 5'8 and the board completely lit up in the stomach to slightly overhead range so far. Waves had some push and was fairly glassy. I'm 6'2 and 185lbs and my go to volume is around 29L give take a bit. the 5'8 in the lib is 28.88 and going that short I was a bit worried, but based on the shape it just didn't seem right to go even bigger....boy was I right. my favorite board now...in the 5'8. so I'm just curious, why you always go so big? I know you probably weigh more and are in better parts of the surfing world....I'm in nyc and all down long island mostly. just curious....seems like going too big on these would feel too stiff and on TOP top of the water.

    • @captieye
      @captieye 7 лет назад

      p.s. and this was in a thick wetsuit in 50 degrees water....totally just curious the reasoning behind you going bigger.

    • @captieye
      @captieye Год назад

      @Christopher Debari I totally agree. I've been surfing since I was very young (I'm 40) and grew up on potato chips, which don't always work. I wouldnt even bother with a potato chip now knowing what I know now and especially on modern shapes. Thing is though, go too big you catch everything but can't dig a rail on typical high performance waves/ boards. I decided to bump up to 31L over past couple years, but anything more than 33L and I feel like the thing doesn't wanna rip...just too much vol. I ride basically same vol in winter as I do in summer ny, west coast, carribean etc and no matter if it's my 5'5, 5'10, 6'2, etc all similar volume.... foam is your friend to a point, and I'm specifically talking average fun zone waves (waist to couple ft overhead). I believe volume specs on boards now helps a lot actually. asked this question quite some time ago.... this dude has very high vol performance boards. Was just curious is all. Right now, I'm no longer curious because this video is 4 years old.... and I'm replying because you are in NJ and that's cool, and I'm drunk.

    • @christopherdebari1166
      @christopherdebari1166 Год назад +1

      @@captieye haha yea i hear ya. My current board is a lost el patron with 2.95cl in the center. Matt does a really good job of making sure the foam doesnt affect the rails, or so it seems for me. The biggest things that I find that affect my performance are too much height and too much width. Even if beefed up boards adversely affect performance, id rather take the foam to get me in the wave with 4-5 mm of rubber and howling offshore winds in the winter, you know what im saying?
