    Designed for unparalleled lateral speed in even the smallest, most gutless surf, this is the Lost Puddle Fish Carbon Wrap Surfboard Review for Compare Surfboards!
    This Lost Puddle Fish is like a performance fish on steroids and I LOVE IT.

    My Lost Puddle Fish Carbon Wrap is 6'0 x 22.25 x 2.75 at 41.75L's of volume.
    How is the Lost Puddle Fish vs Puddle Jumper? Designed from the Lost Puddle Jumper (one of our favourite small wave boards ever) with a performance rocker and spiral vee under the rear foot, this board with rear channels help you push into turns by breaking up the water flow.
    This extra control gives helps with the more fishy design giving you a great mix of speed with manoeuvrability. The Lost Puddle Fish has a straighter rail profile with a forward wide point, squared off tail block and pulled in hip area between your feet.
    A slightly reduced concave depth through the centre of the board further helps to give you plenty of linear speed down the line and through flatter sections.
    The inverted, angular corners out of the square tail reduce the surface area in the tail giving you plenty of bite and control while maximising the straight tail outline and rail rocker.
    I was able to surf this Lost Puddle Fish at Kelly Slater Wave Pool in Lemoore, CA and it rocks!
    Hope you enjoy this Lost Puddle Fish Carbon Wrap Surfboard Review for Compare Surfboards!
    All the best,
    Benny

    I have the LibTech Puddle Fish 5’6”. I surfed this board at Waikiki. The locals were surprised that i was riding this board on thigh - waist high waves with no problem. And the locals were using 7ft and up boards. But I find this board more for Santa Cruz, Trestles and Waikiki etc. Waves that have forever faces. (Hope you understand what i said). I think the channel under the board has got something to do with it. But if you surf it on less likeable conditions you’ll have to put more effort into it. I tried my friends Lib Tech 5’8” Puddle Jumper HP. I would say it’s more versatile than the Puddle Fish. But over all I think it was worth buying. I stand at 5’7” and around 150 Lbs. I hope this will help you with your purchase. 😉

    Love the vids man. That board looks fun, love the tail on that thing. I have a 5’6” puddle jumper. It’s been my favorite board so far, super good with paddling, and makes it easy to ride gutless 2footers (California 2footer Lol). I’d like to check out the puddle fish as a demo soon, might be a good addition to my quiver.

      Thanks for the cool feedback Louis! The Lost Puddle Jumper can go places the Lost Puddle Fish cannot and vice versa...definitely a worthy addition for small SoCal slop. Thanks so much for watching!

    Great review Benny, thank you! One question please: Puddle Jumper vs. Puddle Fish - which of the two will get going better in the really small stuff knee-waist high?

      Puddle Fish for the really small weak stuff Felix!

    Hey Benny great review as always. I have the exact same one and often ride boards you review in the same size as we ride similar volume. Just a question of fins.. How do the SF4's go and did you try the split keel too .. i have been running split keel but not tried anything smaller .. Cheers.

    I’m an above average surfer, surf everyday etc. I’ve never surfed a puddle fish. So I was wondering would a 5.8 around 35 liters be to big?

    Could you do a review on the Puddle Jumper HP? You're a big guy right at over 200 lbs? I'm at 210 lbs ~95 kilos, wondering what size the HP would suit me at.

    I don't get the 2 foot = aussie shoulder high reference? Aussies aren't that short ;) or do 2 foot waves stand up taller in Australia?

    • @Comparesurfboards
      @Comparesurfboards  5 лет назад +3

      Hey there, short question with a long, mystical and hotly debated answer. Aussies look at a wave and say it's XX foot. Americans look at the same wave and say it's XX++ foot. Hawaiians look at the same wave and says it's something different again. Some say it's in the method of measurement (e.g., from the back vs. the open face) but having lived half of my adult life equally in both places, I think it's just a cultural thing :)

      @@Comparesurfboards I think its half based on swell size and half a cultural (pissing contest) thing here in Australia. Where i live in Victoria its generally long period swells which behave allot differently spot to spot. If its 3 foot at 16 seconds then people will say its a 3 foot day. Meanwhile, 3 foot at 16 seconds will produce a 6 foot face wave at one spot and a 2 foot wave at another. Up around Queensland is the opposite with shorter periods. 6 feet at 9 second storm swell might only make a 4 foot face at allot of the points so then people will call it about 3 foot haha, confused? The other half is the pissing contest. No one seems to want to get caught over estimating the size. Surfing a genuine 6 foot barrell but calling it 4 foot makes people think they look cooler.

    • @Comparesurfboards
      @Comparesurfboards  5 лет назад +3

      Totally Ron. That's a great explanation. And I'm jealous of your beautiful, long period swells. Love it every time I'm down there! Feel free to swap for our signature Sydney short period beachy closeouts anytime...

      Hey Ronald, I don't ride FCS2's much so don't have many around - this was my only decent option! Plus, I have had a lot of success with my Futures Stretch fins in wide tailed small wave boards in the past.
