For anyone who has watched all of Bill's podcasts, you can tell that high school breakup affected him in a way that still lives on today. In fact I would argue it is a big reason why he has never chosen to get married. The number of times he talks about it you'd think it was the most amazing relationship and he messed it up. But in this episode it just sounded like a regular relationship that when it ended it was full of pain. Life is full of pain, what is important is how we respond and demonstrate resilience. Bill loves to slam it in the faces of the younger generation how they are so soft, yet here we have an example of a 60-year-old man that in one particular regard shows no resilience, no ability to process pain. Perhaps Bill and the younger generation have more in common than he might believe. Or more pointedly, perhaps he sees himself in that generation and hates the things that he hates about his younger self. Whatever it is Bill, it's time to let it go.

An Everybody Loves Ray reboot wouldn’t fare well today because a good 30% of the draw were because of Doris Roberts and Peter Boyle.
Fruit of the month club, lol
Ray was great in this! Good choice Bill!
Arrrrgg 20 minutes in and Bill is interviewing Bill. He should take the word “I” out of his chats.
you know, these arent meant to be "interviews". They're just meant to be conversations.
I still re watch "Everybody Loves Raymond" over and over, love that show!
Bill is bringing the heavy hitters one week and some C-lister next one... I like this mix.
Love Ray...would love to hear and know more....fascinating individual!!
Bill loves one thing more than anything else.... HIMSELF!!!!!
I went to see”O” and it was UNBELIEVABLE!!! We had 4th row seats on the right side close to the isle. The funny part was when all the rich women came in with fur coats, this was 20 yrs ago, and they got soaked with the water. They were so pissed off. EVERYONE WAS LAUGHING AT THEM! It was hilarious. The show was incredible. I couldn’t afford it today. But even back then our seats, 20 YEARS AGO, 150.00 a seat. We were on our honeymoon so we splurged. Worth it. EDIT: I love Ray
To all of you who are whining that Bill is talking over his guest. This is not an interview, but a conversation. Bill has a dominant personality and if the guest can't keep up (like Bill Burr), then it's on them. Sorry.
THANK YOU. this entire comment section is full of whiners that clearly don't understand what this is. I don't get it.
I was very surprised at the amount of negative comments about Bill. His personality is revving at all times. I like Ray Romano, but I don’t think he could keep up with Bill. There was very little interesting me in this dialogue, and you’re right this is a casual conversation , not an interview.
Even in a casual conversation it's rude to interrupt and talk over the other participant. It's worse when they're interesting and have something of interest to say.
Dude the 'pilot light' analogy is perfect man. Bill I am stealing that, sorry.
IF THE JOB DOES NOT MEAN MORE THAN THE MONEY, ONE NEVER MAKES MORE MONEY. Bill, let him talk.
Great guests consistently. Thank you!
Ray gets to spend an hour listening to Bill talk about how woke the kids are.
Why do you even watch club random?
All you ever do is moan about Bill.
I know I sure as hell wouldn't watch a channel of someone that I dislike.
Isn't that what they call, counterintuitive?
@@TheRetroManRandySavageHi Bill 😊
@@nolancho You got me.
Doesn't make it less true
@@TheRetroManRandySavageCan you please pull your head out of Bill’s azz. He sucks as an interviewer
Retired network exec here. It looks like you looked at my notes from the Carrot Top episode. Just wanted to say the shows look and sound great. Great work!
The very best one was a couple weeks ago with Sandra Bernhard - Bill talked 49% of the time, just right.
I think Bill should have Andrew Santino on, Bill would get 48%
It will be exciting who will be the next guest to sit and listen to Bill Maher
Ray listens to Bill’s grievances
i love hearing Ray talk about his kids stories.
Bill talking about Bill while interesting celebrities sit and hope to speak.
He's still funny though.
Nothing is preventing them from speaking. Bill Burr didn't have a hard time.
Love the stand up inside baseball, Bill’s 1st time on the stage experience was mine - I was gasping for the air of laughter up there. I did not have beginners luck like Ray haha
Ray!!! That is my all time favorite!
Saturday in the park and 25 or 6 to 4!! Best Chicago vid eva
thanks for planning to come to WI Bill - much appreciated.
For a few seconds i could have sworn bill was in Welcome to Mooseport with Ray
Jim Norton please, you 2 talking Comedy and Politics would be perfect. The banter would be fun between you 2.
Enjoyed every minute.. two favourite funny men Fly me to the Moon 🎶 looking forward to it...
Have you ever noticed how many of the more quiet guests suddenly seem more animated or humorous after they know the episode is coming to an end? They are so excited to get the hell out of there that their spirt finally awakens.
The best part of these is the reading of the ads 😂
Bill...guest request! STEVE PERRY!!!
Practically unknown at this point. And so old, he’ll put us all to sleep.
That would be a good one. Let's see how many seconds before Bill asks him about Rock Star pussy .
Steve Perry is still really talented.
Speaking to the gambling segment, U2 summed it up perfectly in their song, Every Breaking Wave:
Every breaking wave on the shore
Tells the next one there'll be one more
And every gambler knows that to lose
Is what you're really there for
Summer I was fearlessness
Now I speak into an answer phone
Like every fallen leaf on the breeze
Winter wouldn't leave it alone, alone
Anybody counting? It took to minute nine for Bill to start his monologues.
Top comments always say Bill talks too much yet the hundreds of thousands of people who can’t be bothered / don’t have time to read comments still love the podcast as do guests
To each their own, personally i'll have to stick to real time. This is one of the first podcasts or whatever these are that i've watched with regularity. This is supposed to be a little less formal, and apparently i wouldn't like to sit down and talk to bill for long, i like to be able to finish my sentences.
Ran into Ray at a Dodgers spring training baseball game this past spring in Arizona, of all places...he was just sitting alone at the back of the seating bowl, blending in, and went unnoticed for most of the game...he really does come across like friendly regular guy!
Can someone start time stamping when the guest speaks so we can enjoy the interview?
I have a feeling some stories here are gonna make me teary eyed
On this episode, Bill almost never shuts up, barely lets Ray talks and when he does allow Ray to speak he over talks him and barely listen.
So, business as usual here on Club Random
If you want to watch or listen to a podcast where the host lets his guest speak check out mine! Dystopia Tonight with John Poveromo :)
sounds like you need to find a new podcast since you clearly hate this one. lol
Hey! That was kinda fun. An enjoyable diversion. Thanks, guys.
It took me 30 minutes to realize that I was watching Bert and Ernie.
YES Ray! Chicago, Tanglewood 1970! FABULOUS concert, Terry Kath, his was the voice that was, for me, the SOUL of that band.👍They were never the same after IMO.
Edited to add ~~ if Ray should ever happen to read here…….RAY! Make an exception & go to a Paul McCartney concert….if you teared up & enjoyed the reactions of the audience at Love, you’ll be blown away with Paul, guaranteed!💚
Bill gets in his own way during these interviews. He could make them so much better if he could just set his ego aside.
Ray a Bill, the ‘surcharge’ is the 45-50 years of professional experience administering the humanistic approach of psychology to a grateful and more relieved nation.
Genuine laughter is therapeutic!
Bill is so desperate for any validation from his guests… 🙄
As much as I love Bill Maher, Ray comes across as the better human I think.
Hopefully Bill speaks over Ray the whole time and we just hear Bill and not the guest.
Oh so a regular Bill interview 😂
Foreigner on their hit URGENT has a fantastic horn solo! Love Raymond! :)
Damn, Ray's got some good beard dye going.
Ringo Starr too, today's technology is amazing
Great too see you both 😁😁😁😁
Bill always fights the imaginary enemy that he makes with his OPINION
Thank you Ray for mentioning the great Terry Kath❤
Bill should interview a non-famous person who would just sit and listen
😂😂😂 so true
Too bad Harpo Marx is no longer with us..He would be perfect interview for Bill..Harpo could interrupt Bill every once in a while with a horn honk.
