    • @TheMeditorEditor
      @TheMeditorEditor 4 месяца назад +2

      I don't know. Whitney is an interesting specimen in that she appears very differently depending on the medium she's in. Between her stand up, acting roles, writing, and long form podcasts, she's like 4 different people. With podcasting specifically, she's consistently very mellow (in articulation and reasoning, not in volume), level headed, and all around the very opposite of her stand up persona. Her stand up sounds like any other female comedian SJW performance, and yet in podcasts she speaks like, to put it in political terms, a centrist or sometimes center-right. And it can't necessarily be an act if she keeps doing it repeatedly for hours on end. Very fascinating woman.

    • @Fantasyremix
      @Fantasyremix 4 месяца назад

      @@TheMeditorEditor she also varies from podcast to podcast. She was particularly crazy during the pandemic in general, but she is also more mellow and focused with males she respects or is attracted to, whereas she’s off-the-wall and interrupts nonstop with women and men who don’t command her respect as much.

    • @TheMeditorEditor
      @TheMeditorEditor 4 месяца назад

      @@Fantasyremix Another comment mentioned how emotionally intelligent she is. I never really understood that concept until watching her on all these places. I think you're correct -- she seems to either match the other's energy and demeanor, or mold herself - consciously or otherwise - to be the person that can best interact with the person she's speaking with. With Bill, it's clear he enjoys when people agree with him or think he's right, or when they speak in a non-combative manor or non-evasive manner (i.e. don't speak in political talk). Whitney was very inquisitive but also gave insight that lead to topics about the past, specifically Bill's time, or current events in society which is where he, as an observational / political comic, thrives. I think, despite all her faults, might be a genuine empath.

What makes you think she's underachieving in the dating market? She's not exactly poor either. It takes a lotta of work to look like she does, and I guarantee you it's not just 8hr sleep and vegetarian diet. Also people don't necessarily want to date a comedian. I understand your point, but I would challenge you on that.
      For example, a person who has only casually waded in shallow pools of water could detest the idea of deep ocean diving and think it's a silly, elaborate, and dangerous activity.
      They don't actually have to literally have been free-diving for them to form an impression that they don't want to do it. They get it - they've swam in shallow water, and are already repelled by the activity of holding their breath.
      So they extrapolate that, and make a most often correct assumption that they are not suited for deep ocean free-diving.
