Just saying, Luka should have deployed his forces of Chaos in the table quarter with the Chaos fort for thematic purposes. Otherwise, I love the fact that Slaves to Darkness was featured in this batrep! Looking forward to coming down in February!
You can't take a unit of 2 chariots, its 1 or 3. If you take a unit of 2 you have to pay the cost for a unit of 3 and play them as under strenght. So you will waste 100 points. And Chosen are on 40mm bases now,. Luca s are on 32mm
To roll eye of the goods the unit must have the eye of the goods keyword
Chosen get a free roll on deployment
Dont know if it was said in the comments but chariots are in units of 1 or 3. said explicitly in the points section in the back. Cannot take a unit of 2
Good to watch while I build up some StD box set models. I agree that a straight up fight isnt the way to go as the Nurgle effects make those warriors super tanky. It would be interesting to see StD vs a more mobile. MW at range output army. I am not sure which one that is as I am new to AOS! Thanks for the Bat Rep!
That would be Seraphon, if Lizardmen. The ranged MW output they have is bonkers.
Only undivided units can roll on the eye of the gods table, otherwise its just characters that have access to it. Just so you guys know for next time :)
Undivided let's you reroll. Any unit with the correct keyword can roll. New book has new rules.
@@whenry369 yes, for characters. Units dont come stock with eye of the gods, besides your pregame chosen roll. I have the book

Josh's list isn't that far off from some lists that have been competitive, but poor fellow had terrible rolls.
Love this! Would be great to see more fyreslayers. Not a massively dominant army at the moment, but I think they have a brilliantly balanced book which many others should be based on
Im playing fyreslayiers morę than year. They arę weak on compare to new books :-) Stil love to play them
@@kamilczaj2785agreed, so fun! I don't think it's super weak, I just think some others are too strong. I think it's pretty well balanced and opens you up to a lot of different builds, unlike some factions where you read the battletome and automatically know which build is best. Wish more battletomes were more balanced like this
@@jacksharkey562 as a tournament player i can say that they are have a chance noc winning but u can not make movment mistakes and dwarfs need proper timing of poping and combining skills they have. Fraction is not begginer frendly
The whole army looks so bland. When it's on the table it's impossible to tell what is what. The characters look the same as the troops.

You can't have a unit of 2 chaos chariots, it's either one or three.
Also, the Chaos Lord and Chosen aren't the proper base size, they are 40mm. Though I get that you are playing with proxys right now.

Single, Each time you include this unit in your army it can have 1 or 3 models. If it has 1 model the points value is 100. If it has 3 models the points value is 300.
I don't make the rules. Since it's single you can't reinforce it.
@@TheVardek13 You might be able to play 2 of them but you have to pay for the 3, like if you don't have enough minis. It was possible before, Idk if it changed in this version though.

@Pommit107 there are etsy shops that make base extenders that clip onto existing bases. And they are tapered so there isn't any need to re-base. It just adds a black (or whatever color you paimt them) ring around the existing base. Also great for squad marking.

its comical how bad Fyreslayers are. it doesnt help that Luka moves so fast, that he picks up dice that are misses/hits, saves on dice that are fails, etc... slow down bro.
Seeing the dwarves drop that fast hurts my soul. Guess the warriors are doing the gods work.

Chaos Warriors come in larger units, but model per model -- they are LESS expensive than Stormcast Liberators, Vindictors, and Sequitors and the same cost as Vanquishers after the recent points drop
All of those units only have a 4+ save except Vindictors. Sequitors have to channel for their ward save, Liberators only get a +1 to their save (not as good as a raw 3+), and none of them have a 5+ ward vs mortals (except Sequitors who are 145 per 5 or 290 per 10)
Also none of those SCE units have access to any of the buffs provided Chaos Marks (Cel Vin buff is exploding 6's on 1 unit who charged, there is no -1 to wound or mitigating enemy rend, and the bonus to run and charge is with an allied Battlemage whose spell can be blocked)
Btw, Chaos Warriors in AoS have always had their 5+ ward vs mortals
For most of this Bat-Rep I was baffled because what Lukawas saying made no sense because not only is the video NOT titled *New BattleTome* but there is no public review of the coming rules if they are even public.
So, it would be nice for those of us who can't afford things in the immediate for clarification.
Always good to see S2D, but that Mark of Nurgle is probably too much on top of the access to -1 enemy rend.
Would love to see more Chaos Mortals as always and I really feel like Luka shouldn't have to play 3 or 4 of the 5 Chaos Mortal armies. I would love if someone would take the wheel full on S2D, but obviously that's a staffing/visitor issue.

Chaos knights, warriors, chosen, varanguard etc no eye of god. Just saying. Also found funny how you say khorne only gets 1 charge in game(i do more a lot) and then don't say same note regarding slaanesh who is more likely than khorne to have only 1 charge

This Battle report was painful to watch. Not because of Luca and Josh but because the Armys are so completely unbalanced

I would enjoy seeing a Sacrosanct Stormcast army list if possible in the future, am currently debating running just 6 Lord-Arcanums with Sequitors for ridiculousness.
Be better off with Knight Incantors and maybe 1 Lord Arcanum
Sequitors are overpriced. Just proxy your Sequitors as Liberators.
Dracoline Evocators can work if used properly.
The Ballista isn't awful with a Lord Ordinator.

I don't get why you always play so many chariots instead of cool models in you S2D lists -.- chariots are boring imo. Is it due to the studio collection?
This is one of those where I watch the army showcases and skip to the post game report. Something about two footslogging armies that just sends me to snoozeville
This was such a fun game to watch. One thing to remember is Gotrekk has to be on a 32mm base to be used for play. The diorama base is not legal.
I think I'm more concerned to see nurgle/special banner on chaos knights or varanguard than warriors. Daemon blades or felspears sound terrifying on an unkillable unit...
Can't use them on Varanguard
The Knights are more likely to get Khorne or Slaanesh mark and banner (same for Chosen)
Warriors use the Nurgle ones better as a super anvil like Luka did here
Nurgle Banner on Chosen is great. -1 to wound and -1 rend on an already great combat unit that can rally on a 5+ is just silly.

I wish there was more focus and less disjointed vocalizing of idle thoughts, useless interruptions, etc. It makes the game hard to follow.
