Hey, thanks for this video. Much better than a lot of other vlogs, stable camera, informative commentary, I am planning a trip this Feb from Delhi to Goa, and had a question, if you were not going to Kolhapur, will you take this route over the Anuskura route, what are the pros and cons?
Anuskura ghat route will have less places to have food and rest stops till you touch NH66. We have not travelled through that route but it is sure better than the other routes to Goa like Chorla ghat and amboli ghat.
Chorla ghat route isnt that great but the route is relatively busy and not isolated. Anmod ghat route passes through forest with not so good road in the forest area. Might get a bit isolated at some places and there is a time restriction as well.

After you come down the Amboli Ghat, there is a shortcut on the left, u will find a small police chowki, if u take that left you will bypass Sawantwadi and save some time.
North Goa k liye aap Karad se Anuskura ghat and Malakapur hote hue NH66 touch kariye. Waha se NH 66 all the way till north Goa acche condition mein hai.
Road through Amboli was more or less good. Unfortunately we do not have idea about Bhimgadh sanctuary road this year. Last year when we travelled, the road was completely broken in a stretch.
@@ThatWanderingCoupleIndia brother the bhimagadh santuary road is wrecked at some spots but it is a very beautiful road it passes through two different santuries ,,,,,,,,i personally own a fortuner and a scorpio we had gone in the scorpio an it was like butter beautiful road
As per what people have suggested, the best route to Goa is now via the Anuskura Ghat as of now. You can go up to Karad and take the malakapur route via the Anuskura ghat to join NH66. Drive straight on NH66 up to north and south Goa.
Hi to both of you, nice video. Why have you chosen nexon petrol over diesel?, since you're traveling so much in a year. I am looking for nexon so I need your opinoin on this.
The main reason was the recovery of cost difference between a diesel and petrol car of same variant. I dont have an avg running of 2000 kms a month. And on long drives petrol car gives good mileage and is fairly silent and smooth. Plus DPF issues and all.

Hi, there are some positives and negatives of each car. I have never driven a Sonet, so cant comment. But Nexon is a sturdy, stable and trendy car. You will have practical and usable features in top variants. The automatic for me is a boon both in city and highways. Works similar to an imt in manual mode. Best is to test drive both the cars and decide. I test drove a venue and a nexon at the time of purchase and went for nexon. Didnt even try Kia.

I will try it out, my brother goes via anmod - mollem.. I always follow your advice.. will try alternatives this time.. first time i went via Gaganbawda and that was scary.. but Amboli was fun, roads are bad.. btwy i have ths same flame red nexon 😬 AMT.. Take a right turn from hotel Goa Ves. Roads were good when we went.

We did take that route on our return from Goa. But found the Sawantwadi route to be much better though it was a bit longer. 😊

How's the roads when you returned back?
We returned back via Amboli Ghat but took the Ajra to Otur route which was much better. State highways in Maharashtra are generally not that great.

You chose difficult way, Kolhapur -Kalbhairi -chandgad -Amboli would have been easier as far as road conditions are concerned.

You could take a right turn at Sankeshwar as well. Is that right?
Not sure about that. The best route is to take a right from Goa ves hotel and take the ajra roue.

We stayed at Hotel Atharva at Kolhapur. Its located near the railway station, bus stand and is around 3 kms from the Mahalaxmi temple.

I took this route in sep was ok ok
This time in Jan it was bad in certain stretches especially Ajra to Sawantwadi.
