Pro Tip from someone that used to ride my motorcycle for my work commute: Leave earlier, bring a comb/hair product, and go to the bathroom and fix yourself up prior to clocking in. I did this method for years. Also, you earn some bonus points with the boss who sees you coming in early for work.
I'm 6'2". And 290 pounds. I ride my Ruckus everywhere. I put a forsa rear shock on. Rides great. It's more fun than anything else I've ever rode. Get one.
I use my Zoomer (Ruckus) daily, rain is just something you have to get used to in Scotland. Cold is OK but I don’t ride in ice or snow, too big a risk to myself and others. Luggage is solved for me by a waterproof bag, you can also get a rack for a topbox if you want to go a stage further. The bike isn’t suited to fast roads (unless modded), it’s ideal in the city though. Enjoyed the video 👍
You for SURE can daily drive a ruckus. Where I live everything is 45mph so thats cool for me. Also I live in Texas so cold is not an issue. Rain effects everyone on a bike, thats when I drive my cage. Keep it up buddy!
Mine started showing minor electrical failure symptoms around 4000 and shutting down at 5000, Blowing several 20a fuses and shutting off when kickstarted. I’m taking it in for service this month, but I honestly don’t recommend this scooter. It’s uncomfortable, slow af, and has issues around the same mileage as the chinese ones… for 4x the price.
The ruckus was my daily ride to work for a year. I live in NYC. The bike and I saw our fair share of horrible drivers and bad weather. But it was also fun riding the ruckus. Only wish it could go and accelerate a little faster.
I bought one recently i plan to drive it all summer while i pay it off im gonna go on several adventures i cant wait and yes just quietly getting to your spot to chill on something so small and convenient is an experience all its own. I had a chinese two stroke low miles but old and everything was brittle and cracking i loved it but it got stolen and destroyed before it was finally returned i sold it for 100 bucks just cuz i didnt wanna look at it now im getting the ruckus it will have an alarm this time around and probably a remote battery cutoff. Anyways i plan to drive it daily because its what i have and thats what i gotta do. But ill enjoy every mile. And all the money i save vs a car will have a stupid grin on my face the whole time haha no insurance 115mpg and the payment is 80 bucks. Thats like a phone bill. And im retired im in no hurry. I might do a k&n and a variator but that would be it nothing too crazy i want it to last
All true and valid points ..great channel ..you know what it's all about..alot of guys get big loud bikes to be cool and get chicks..somtimes it helps with women but it is the wrong reason to ride..I had a dirtbike at 6...to me it feels like a part of me and sucked when I was to hurt to ride. That being said they are dangerous for the reasons you described. So knowing the risks and trying to not show off and be cool is a must...I got hit by a truck going 50..it almost killed me and took me 10 years to heal and get to the point I could ride again..
@@SmallEngineVelocity I did 3 days ago, any recommendations on first mods? I’m tryna increase speed but not drop a couple grand on a gy6 engine swap. Lmao
Appreciate the insight, I’ve always thought these were cool. I unfortunately totaled my car in a rain storm a week ago and with the prices of used cars the way they are and gas being $4.24 here as of today I think I might scoop one of these up brand new and rock it for atleast the spring and summer. And use it for my uber eats, would go a long way on my earnings on full days of doing it I was at around $60 a day in fuel(with a 4cyl/6spd Kia Soul). The 115mpg would be tremendous haha
I thought we called cars daily drivers because we also have a second vehicle for certain things? So yes a Ruckus would be a great daily if you have another vehicle
Just bought my Ruckus. Thanks to watching your channel. I live in the New London are of CT where about are you. I'm trying to find people to do group rides with.
you can daily drive just use bike mode gps on google maps (the time is says on the estimate time on arrival is for a bicycle going 10mph ) you 3 times a fast and you should have no problem
What is the average speed on ruckus? Do you recommend it for someone who never had any bike/mopeds? And is it comfortable with whole days ride? Thx alot, be well! 😃
Get a set of Heidanau stock size tires. For cargo options get an under seat bag front Chase Harper or Kemi Moto. Check rucrac.net for a rear mount carrier. Ruc Rac has a you tube video for more info.
137 per gallon
Wilcer on RUclips used a Ruckus for food delivery in LA for years.
Inspired me to do the same.

Why are all your Cons 2 wheel vs 4 wheel, but your Pros are Ruckus specific? Not a very unbiased review.
Wish I was small enough to fit a ruckus. 6’3” 250. Gonna need a bigger scoot.
I'm 6'2". And 290 pounds.

So it’s different from a car because on the ruckus you’re exposed to the weather. That’s pretty insightful.

Even modified the GET can consistently get 45-48mph if you live in a flat area like me.
👍 well said!

I rode a motorcycle for 3 years as my only transportation. Limiting. If you have a car for rainy days…you are set.

Beach town with no rain... I wish. I also really wish I had a ruckus. Or maybe a Grom? Or maybe a rebel 300?
