    I am planning on getting this setup for sure. Among all the other benefits of it, the fact that the can won't walk off the barrel is huge in my opinion. I don't always do it, but I do it frequently enough to where it matters. That being taking brand new or very novice shooters out for the first time. Often it's not just the first time shooting suppressed but shooting guns in general. Not having to lord over them or have them constantly checking if the can is tight is a huge plus. It's just one more thing in the plus column.

      Just make sure you don’t let them tighten it too tight. Had a buddy that’s never shot a pistol can before tighten the shit out of it and when I went to take it off the mount came with it. Was a simple fix though, just held the can and used a ratchet to pop the mount loose. It’s a taper mount. It doesent take much force to tighten it.

      I'm not going to let them put it on or off (as usual). I typically prep the firearm, safe it, have a mag or two ready, show them how to do normal operations like release the slide or whatever, then they can shoot.
      A lot of people that are new are kind of intimidated by the suppressor and are scared to reach out and grab it to check if it's tight or not. Trying to throw tightening a suppressor into the mix in some cases has been a bit of information overload for some brand new shooters.

      My buddy’s a pretty experienced shooter. He has a couple rifle cans and a 22 can. He Just thought you were supposed to treat it like DT and snug it hard

      One question though regarding clocking the suppressor for POI shift...I assume that is all 100% the same but I figured I would confirm or not.

      Yup. Just confirmed. Have a suppressed g19 with the cam lok on it beside me now.

    I'm like you. As soon as I saw this, I ordered a piston and two adapters, one 1/2x28 and one M13.5x1LH. I hate changing pistons and I hate unscrewing hot suppressors to put them on another gun.

    Dude! Thank you for this video!! I’m even getting that Rugged Suppressor! This seems to be the ultimate system with the Cam Lok, or EZ Lok.
    Not having to change the piston, switch to different guns in seconds, and not having to re-tighten the suppressor every mag is unbelievable!

    I bought this as soon as it came out as well. Have always wanted a qd for a pistol can. It works great and one other advantage in some cases for a single host user is being able to quickly remove the can from the pistol for storage. I have multiple host pistols, but the can is always removed when in the safe for me. Otherwise I think you covered everything

    @ 2:38 in he states 20 inch pounds, this should be 20 ft pounds.
    He didn't stress this enough, Don't use a wrench, you must use a deep 3/4" socket
    for the Cam-Loc to barrel adapter. A box end or open end wrench will roll, messing up the finish
    and getting a little stuck.

    Griffin is always putting out some nice products! Love those wrench flats!

    Thanks for the video, I have been curious about the cam lok for my obsidian 45. Now I am for sure going to get this system. I run my firearms hard and my suppressor as well, I have suffered one end cap strike, and this system should help me avoid that in the future.

    I bought one of these for a Glock 19 with an Odessa 9. The Odessa will start to come loose with just 5 or so shots, so when I found out this was available I was stoked. I haven't shot with the Cam Lok components installed yet. I do like what I've seen, but it is a little weird because there's not much of a turn to install the piston to the barrel adapter. I've probably put it on and taken it off 100 times just to be sure the suppressor's really on there. I guess I trust it because of all the vids like yours I've seen, but I'm still kind of weary about it. I do kinda wish it took more than a quarter turn to seat everything, or better yet, that it could be locked. I guess I'll have to learn to trust it when using the system.

    Seems pretty cool. I didnt know anything like that existed for pistol suppressors. When I get my obsidian 45 I'm only planning on running it on my fnx tactical 45. So I don't think I would get into this system. At least not right away.

      It’s brand new. And yes if your just using it on one can then this system might not make the most sense. You wont have to worrry about the can coming loose and getting baffle strikes but you shouldn’t with traditional DT either of you install them right

    Any benefit to CAM-LOK if all your pistols have the same thread pitch? Just a little faster QA/QD vs threading on/off? Ok
    4:20 prevent baffle strikes, loose barrel walk off

    I wish Griffin would make an adapter for the popular rimfire cans.

    Hi - does griffin's cam-lok have any advantages (aside from cost) over Rugged's 3 lug system ? thinking of getting either cam-lok or 3 lug for rugged obsidian 9 + p226 mk25 setup. Thanks in advance.

    • @PracticallySquared1
      @PracticallySquared1  2 года назад

      You can't 3 lug a handgun. I need the booster assembly to work. The cam lok is the only qd system that is also a booster assembly.. 3 lug is for like sub guns and stuff.

    Have you tried in any existing holsters that take threaded barrels?

    • @PracticallySquared1

      I’ve seen the T Rex arms one in person. Never used it though.

      Keystone Mountain Outdoors I mean with the cam lok barrel attachment (not with suppressor). I am wondering if you have an existing holster that takes a pistol with a threaded barrel will it still work with the barrel attachment.

    • @PracticallySquared1
      @PracticallySquared1  4 года назад +1

      Tim so I tried it in a few and it worked in 2/4 of them, so I guess it would depend on the holster. If it doesent you could always just remove it or open the hole in the Kydex or whatever material it is.

    I want one of these for a form1 but cant find out what diameter the pistons are. Like the odessa9.

    Does it shoot loose or is it hard to remove when hot?? Is changing hosts a bunch a problem or is this a solution in search of a problem?

      In testing we basically it like we had arthritis and it would stay tight for 50 rounds no problem. Its a big jump in mounting security.
