The best part of this whole tournament for me so far was this moment. Trev telling his teammate to throw a slider and dan having to tell him he doesn't have one had me dying. Just imagining what was going on inside both of their heads when that happened 😂
I played baseball my whole life, and pitched until my freshman year of high school when I got tendinitis... Well the summer between my junior and senior year, I was playing American legion ball, and during a blowout, I convinced the coaches to let me pitch a couple innings... I got two easy outs, and the third batter I tried to throw a curve ball and he absolutely roasted it... The coach told me after the inning "a curve ball is supposed to be 12-6, not 12-400" and I was confused and said "what is " 12-400?" The other coach pipes up behind me and goes "in comes in starting at 12 and goes about 400 feet"... The whole team was crying laughing
A 12-6 is thrown very similarly to any other curveball but has a slightly different spin axis. A splitter is thrown like a fastball, but is called a splitter because of the split-fingered grip pitchers use to throw it
I thought this was hilarious, so I showed my girlfriend, I got halfway through the clip before I realized I had to explain what any of this was, let alone a 12-6 slider. I still laughed my ass off everytime

The sequence of the ball disappearing out of the shot, followed by 'FUCK' and *wheezing* is just spectacular
Perfection
Pete and Rose must be the duo for every major tournament, they are hilarious
Rete Pose?
“That was 12-12” is an early leader for best commentary call for me. 🤣
I’d vote for that 😂
The double whammy of Dan yelling “F@%k!” and Pete’s head exploding was 😚🤏
I think you mean 😚🤌
Peter Moylan is definitely my favourite part of this series so far
The vertical format really doesnt do justice to how every single person in the booth burst into laughter (but Moylans reaction was the best one)
Yeah, not only the two commentators, but at least 3 people working up there burst into laughter as well. 😂 Jolly good time and jolly good show.
I love the “will they won’t they” dynamic of Rose and Peter
Man I love when Dan gets soo frustrated 😂
Taking out the pause after Trevor said slider here was a mistake. Much funnier in the full length version.
This moment was truly amazing. I love Pete’s reaction so much
Hands down best clip of the entire tournament 😂😂

This should’ve won best mic’d up
That was truly unhittable
We need some ‘best of Chris and Pete’ compilation shorts guys!
I DIED laughing watching Moylan laugh at this lol 😂😂😂.
I spit out my cereal watching this😂😂
This had me DYING 😂
Absolutely iconic
Was this what moylan meant by a “trick fuck” pitch?! 😂😂
Dan fucks up again 😂
Lmfaoooo 12-12 😂😂😂

early pick for best booth moment
he predicts
Looked more like a 12-9 me lmao
Is that Peter moylan?
The caption should be 12 12
😂😂😂 I'm in stiches. "FUCK"
One question I have is how I a 12-6 even considered a curveball when it doesn't curve. It's like a splitter
Everything in baseball can literally be grouped into 3 categories, fastball, movement pitch and off speed. All just different degrees and some overlap
@user-ek7yc5zm1v right but I guess my question is really what's the difference between a 12-6 and a splitter
A 12-6 is thrown very similarly to any other curveball but has a slightly different spin axis. A splitter is thrown like a fastball, but is called a splitter because of the split-fingered grip pitchers use to throw it
12 to 20 lol
