Great job ! As always when I watch your videos it reminds me when I used to make stuff with my dad in his garage ^^ a father/daughter time and it was very enjoyable !
Hello Céline, You are the winner of the giveaway, Congratulations !! 😃 Could you please provide us with a way to contact you ? If you don't want to leave an email address on RUclips you can contact us directly by mail but you'll need to edit a keyword on your comment ! Congrats again !
I really like to see not only your restoration of cool things but the improvements you make to them. Exchanging the particle board for hard wood for the base of this bread cutter is an example. The improvements are simple and common sense. Like why didn't they build it like that in the first place. I also like to see your cat Avril on every restoration. He is so calm and seems to be a really happy cat.
I've been watching this channel for years and have seen just about every single video. The artifacts being restored might be old but the content never is. I truly appreciate what you do and hope there will be many more years of old but gold restorations :P
You're videos are like therapy to me and my husband. We've seen all of your videos, even few times and waiting impatiently for new one! 🥰 I love your work, especially paying attention to every single screw, every single detail. It's incredible how careful you're disassembling parts just to save every part, to keep it as original as possible. Great job! And please keep it this way! I wish you and Avril all the best and hope to see more of your work! 🥰
I love the "these screws are bent and worthless; I'll make my own." And the rivets. Incredible!! I'd love to give this to my friend who makes bread for her family and gave many of her friends sourdough starters.
These videos bring me so much joy. The older man's hands are exactly like my dad's hands. He was an electrician by trade, and he taught himself anything he didn't know. He would have loved watching these videos, because of the great craftsmanship that goes into it.
Absolutely love this restoration, especially the replacement wood board - so much nicer and long-lasting than the original and far more in keeping with it too, I think. Beautiful 😊😺
Beautifully restored, as always. Your videos take me back to my childhood, watching my grandfather clean and repair things around the farm. Now that I am myself an old thing, I find it comforting to know that old things still have purpose.
My grandfather also repaired everyday items. I have a cheap pair of scissors that he repaired. I love that he didn’t even just throw them out and buy a new pair, it’s one of my treasures because it brings so much memories of him. Even every day items can be made beautiful again :)
I watched this video with tears in my eyes. My grandfather used to bake all kinds of breads and rolls. I remember going over to my grandparents house hoping to see the bread slicer on the counter top. He used the exact one you restored in this video. I love to watch you take something so useful and make it worthy of using again. Thank you, great job. If my grandfather was still alive he would've loved seeing this video.
Well done! It was refreshing to see an old machine that wasn't completely ruined, brought back to life. That wood base is much nicer than the particle board original!
2 weeks ago I posted what I did. However returning to watch this video an second time around, I realize, that it brings backs great memories of my time as an US Army mechanic(wheels), station in Germany. Most of the time, we had the right tools for the job, but, those moments when we did and we had to make news tools and parts, like you guys, we're the best. For those memories that you guys help me recall, I am grateful.
You two always have interesting restorations. I would love to give that to my wife on May 1, its our 57 year anniversary. Avril always gives his approval.
Absolutely beautiful. Better than new, especially now with that solid wood base over the previous particle board garbage. A joy to watch the progress as usual.
I have started watching other restoration channels, but this was my first and still my favorite. I enjoy watching you work so much of it by hand instead of using machines. It's such a different craft and gives the final product a different feel when so much of it is hand-worked instead of machine-worked.
You often hear the phrase..." They don't make them like they used too..." Well it seems after watching these guys and the magic they perform, you could say that , yes, there are still a few that do make them like they used too ! Love all your work guys , keep it up ! ✌️😎
One of the best channels out there. Comply well rounded of metalwork, woodwork, and everything else. I’ve learned so much from this channel. Thank you.
Great work like always!! I was wondering though: are there any precautions you have to take to make sure these are food safe after restoring them with different chemicals?
It's always nice to see a more "craftsmans" approach to restoration than the more technical "engineering" approach a lot of other channels have (not to say either way is better or worse than the other, just different)
I'm obsessed with handcrafts and restorations and I always support creators by liking their videos as I don't have money to support them , but I truly appreciate what they are doing to entertain and educate us at the same time
My wife and I love watching your very skilled hands. We love Avril too! We look forward to every post. Thank you for sharing your talent and generosity in offering this beautiful piece!
I watch your videos when I go to bed almost every night you are so gentle with it and it is just very interesting to see the objects broken down and built back up again better than before.
You have the patience of an old world 🌍 Craftsman, a very cool workshop full of tools. I love watching restoration videos and seeing older things brought back to life
Lots to love here from the care sanding out the burn marks on the oak base, angling the screws, home made rivets, only one thing sandblasted, the reappearance of the whetstone wheel AND a double dose of Avril. Happiness, your name is LADB Restoration. Merci, mes amis.
As a masters student these videos remind me of all the progress ive made by showing something given love and care and being polished to working order! (And i love bread, who doesnt.)
I watch your videos to fall asleep. Have been for a year+. Just today decided to subscribe. Your videos give me peace, no matter how stressful the day, to have a nice sleep. So thank you
I’m always so impressed with how beautifully, thoroughly, and accurately everything is restored. It brings to life a small part of a different time, and it’s absolutely magical.
This is honestly one of my favorite channel. The videos are clean and well edited, the hands show how much hard work you put into your craftmanship, and Avril always look so comfy and fluffy Nothing more satisfying than watching rust getting filed off and transform into something nice and shiny again. Great work!

Good to see Averil helping out again!..Great resto!
I never seen a bread cutter like that! Nice find mate 👌
Caught a podcast that surprised me as to how old sliced bread was. They also temporarily banned sliced bread in the United stated during WW2.

Another lovely restoration - I can see you're really enjoying the lathe! 😁 Looking forward to seeing more of your work and more of Avril soon!

Love the restoration vids!
Helps me relax when I am stressed or overwhelmed.
You two always have interesting restorations. I would love to give that to my wife on May 1, its our 57 year anniversary. Avril always gives his approval.
Now that was beautiful! I love how you keep what you can and only replace parts that must be replaced, leaving the piece as new, and not modified.
Absolutely beautiful. Better than new, especially now with that solid wood base over the previous particle board garbage. A joy to watch the progress as usual.
I’d love to have this for the fresh bread I bake… plus it’s just generally cool. Keep up the great work!
Let’s be honest we are all here for Avril.
I couldn't tell you why, but I just love these bread slicer restorations.

Na, not like they used to, better.
Love the work on lathe. It shows progress of your skills very nicely :)
I always love seeing Avril. Her fur looks so thick and soft! Wonderful work, as always.
One of the best channels out there. Comply well rounded of metalwork, woodwork, and everything else. I’ve learned so much from this channel. Thank you.
Well done, I'm amazed at people throwing such a beautiful device away.
Amazing job on this restoration! I loved the lathe part, it's so satisfying!
That new wooden base completely transformed the look of the whole build. Well done
I really enjoy these restoration videos right before bed. They're really relaxing.
Great work like always!! I was wondering though: are there any precautions you have to take to make sure these are food safe after restoring them with different chemicals?
I would literally watch these restoration videos 24/7. They're so interesting & make the engineer in me so happy
It's always nice to see a more "craftsmans" approach to restoration than the more technical "engineering" approach a lot of other channels have (not to say either way is better or worse than the other, just different)
Your attention to detail is what sets you apart from the others. It made me smile when you timed the screw slots on the base.
This is the most relaxing, therapeutic, video I like to see when i take breaks from studying. Or on a day off. Thanks!
I love everything about this restoration. The fiber board being replaced with real hardwood is a nice touch. Very nice.
Another masterpiece. I love the use of the old hand tools and the more modern electric tools.
My enthusiasm for carbohydrates can only be matched by my enthusiasm for your restoration videos. ♡
My dad and I have been loving this channel ever since we found it!
I love seeing you problem solve as you restore your pieces! And the demonstration for how it works is really helpful at the end of all your videos!
That's a great bit of craftsmanship. I especially like the lovely piece of oak you used. I'm glad Avril approves.
This is my favorite restoration channel and seeing Avril is always a bonus.
I always find restoration videos relaxing, whether it be painting or household objects
I'm obsessed with handcrafts and restorations and I always support creators by liking their videos as I don't have money to support them , but I truly appreciate what they are doing to entertain and educate us at the same time
I love baking bread about as much as I love watching these videos. This would be so neat to have for whoever winds up winning!
My wife and I love watching your very skilled hands. We love Avril too! We look forward to every post. Thank you for sharing your talent and generosity in offering this beautiful piece!
I enjoyed how you assembled as you went along and didn't wait until the end. It was a nice change for this project!
What a lovely gift for the misses to use it on special occasions. Keep,up the good work.
I can’t imagine how cool when this cutter shining in my kitchen. Plus it’s repaired by one of my favorite RUclipsr!
Ooh, this is a nice one. That oak really was a nice touch, and I always love to see Avril inspecting the work.
That fixed blade worked better than I expected it to! What a beautiful restoration!
I have never seen someone make their own screws. You guys do it all. Love your videos. Thanks
I love your videos. Always interesting to see these older tools restored to their prime, and I find it a great way to unwind.

Another great restore, LADB.
I know that if I won this bread cutter I would return to the bread-making hobby I left 30 years ago.
