To the negative viewers I ask: Would you rather see all the abandoned storage go into the Landfill? The items are being recycled, Wade and others like him are earning a living, and at the auctions the items are bought and put to use. Also, many items are donated, and the personal effects go back to the family. It's a reality of the times we live in. 😉

I really do not like these two. They are very judgmental and annoying! They are taking peoples misfortunes and profiting off of them. Then they try to justify their actions by claiming that people just chose not to pay their bills and lose their life's possessions. I hate that they go out of their way to expose the misfortunate by ALWAYS sharing their photos and personal affects. To me, they are the worst! They are not humanitarians by giving back the owner's personal items..that is required by the facilities /bidding rules.

I love watching you open all the totes and treasure boxes but we never know why someone has lost their storage units. Yes it is because they didn’t pay the bill on the unit. But you never know what circumstances lead up to them not being able to pay. It could be due to the death of a spouse. We never know. Bad luck can happen to anyone. We can tell this person that owned this unit was very talented. And was such a collector. Thanks for giving back the personal items. Good luck with your ventures. I’m glad Grandma Ventures has lots of yarn. I love how Ashley collects items for the children .

Wade, Never lose your style. I like the way you showcase, and then move on. The one thing I really like is that unlike all the others that do videos of storage auctions, you do not feel the need to pull out an Item an go on for ten minutes about it. When you talk about the benefits of buying storage lockers you do not sugar coat the reality, and in my book that makes you more worthy of watching. The Crogman.

@@madl555 Holly this was an older lady in her 60s at least. This unit was a lifetime accumulation of her mother's and family's belongings. People in their 60s were not brought up with computers, tablets, and cellphones. Even if she knew how to operate one, she would have to go to a library and wait her half an hour turn and know how to create accounts for ebay, etsy, worthpoint.com etc. She would have to take photos and have an address. She couldn't possibly handle all those boxes and run items to a post office that sold. She was homeless. Apparently she had no help. Her parents were dead. Why are you so judgemental and punishing to someone who apparently had sewing and looming etc. for her business? Who are we to judge the belongings of another? People today are much more transient. Years ago people lived in the family home for all their lives and hence the accumulation. I can't believe the callousness of people today and how they say well she learned her lesson! Do you or I think we are above learning lessons??? I am not.

I make Afghans out of the yarn. I learned to crochet when I was 12. It relaxes me. But I use to make quilts and had a craft store that sold the supplies; for all crafts and sewing. I taught a few classes. Wade was one then. He spent a lot of time there. It was in Big Bear City CA. I love crafts. Started beading pretty heavy. But now I help my Kids, I have three boys and my crafting is now just the Afghans. I guess I got carried away. I do love it all. My kids had a new sweatshirt in Big Bear everyday it was so fast on my serger. Have a great day! Denise

@9:19 that purple onion is used in the fridge to hold a cut onion. Let’s say you only need half an onion for the meal, you put the other half in there for next use. It helps to keep the smell and I think it will also help with freshness. I’ve seen a tomato one and a green pepper one.

In regards to the title of your video: "PAY YOUR BILLS OR THIS HAPPENS". I think that's a bit harsh and cold, though I feel you aren't a cold or harsh person Wade.
I feel badly for people who get to the point where they can't afford to pay rent on their storage unit and lose everything. Sometimes very unfortunate things happen in life, like getting sick and all the money goes to hospital bills etc. It's not always the point of someone simply "not paying bills" just because they WANT to spend it on other things, or that they can't be bothered to pay them. A lot of the time, it's because something very bad or tragic has happened in their life. It's quite sad really.

    • @sueperdue6174
      @sueperdue6174 4 года назад

Laura Y. Yes, it’s unfortunate, but--how long did she pay rent on this unit? Years, I think. Do some math and it makes me wonder how long her “problems” were going on! As far as I’m concerned, if someone pays for a storage unit longer than a few months, their problems should have been taken care of! And for your information, I’m 73; been single for 25 years, and have had storage units but made sure the rent was paid and didn’t keep stuff in one for years! It’s throwing money away after a while!

I agree with holly m - the worth in stored items is quite significant. Resale you can probably get 40% to 50% for all those new unused items. The loom is worth a lot to home weavers! You must br fit to do this job. I am really stunned by the huge collections of "toys" , clothes , machines books etc. This is rediculous , as it is worth over 20 times what you paid for it.

Why the heck didn’t the previous owner of this unit sell some of her chattels to dig herself out of the mess she was in. Why risk losing everything when by selling her collectibles and musical instruments and a few other choice items she could have down sized her unit and kept up with her payments whilst pulling her life back together. The letter you received was designed to pull at your heart strings. I am glad she will get her personal photos and papers back because those are the important things in life the rest are just things.

The Round Green Pegged thing with yarn... yes, today they call it a Knitting Loom, historically they were called 'peg knitters.' Your mom might enjoy playing with that; there are plenty of vids on YT to teach her how. As a life long crocheter, who is a self taught knitter.... just learn to knit. Far more gratifying... and for crocheters Continental knitting is much easier, because you hold the yarn, like you do with Crochet.
The Box of 'Movie' Inserts could be promotional material from Sci Fi conventions. Alll those SciFi character Trading Cards... she might have those to use for Costuming and makeup effects to better duplicate a character for Conventions.
The sky blue fur... $5 bet says she made Sully costume from Monsters Inc.
The random container of Cornstarch... for leather or latex costumes the cornstarch could be used instead of talcum powder since that is now proven to cause cancer.

The swords can be gussied/shined/sharpened etc. Parts can be replaced. 5 lobed viking sword is very interesting; are these going to postmark?

Hiya Wade ,I think the owner was maybe a costume designer in film and probably met a few famous people and was able to get things signed also that would explain the swords etc somewhere in that unit you are going to come across a very expensive embroidery machine keep your eyes peeled !!

She made costumes for herself and went to Anime events. There was a Kumoricon lanyard shown in the previous video. She must have spent a fortune going to those events and buying all that stuff. She mentioned the costumes in the letter she wrote, but didn't mention the folded US flag nor the cufflinks, tiepins, pocket watch and medal, that should have been of personal sentimental value (possibly her own fathers).

If it’s yarn it’s an Afghan ,a throw or a blanket. A quilt is made of pieces of fabric sewn together, then quilted....
