    Haven't had a chance to test if it holds zero, but mounts just fine and has nice clear glass. Centered vertically true to a plumb line with the crosshairs which is always a plus!It's a great ruclips.net/user/postUgkxc4K63Fd5LglDMObu7-Bgapxp_ef0W8hE scope. There's no parallax adjustment or focus ring, so may be limited to 3-7x, have to see how it is on the range. Also be aware that the rings are "look through" so you can still use irons, but they are really tall if you only intend to use the optics. On a 22LR no biggie since I'm not shooting competitions or worried about a hard cheek press. Will boresight and range test, if all goes well, I'll leave it at that!

    Hi. Can I please ask. Where did you get the scope camera mount? Or what make is it? Or did you make it yourself. I notice I have a very similar camera (only panasonic) and I'm thinking about mounting mine for the odd shot.
    I have seen I few different mounts and have been thinking about maybe making one myself but thought I'd ask you first.
    Thanks

    Looks like you picked a better day for this episode Mat, doesn't the primos trigger tripod make for some easy static shooting, I wouldn't be without mine as it allows you to relax the weight of the rifle. BTW have you considered the use of a portable popup hide?
    /simon

    • @theshootingshow
      @theshootingshow  7 лет назад

      Hi Simon.
      Yes, it was a much better day and the Trigger Stick Tripod is a massive help.
      I have used pop-up hides in the past - sometimes we have Nicky or a static camera in one. I find them a bit restrictive for shooting, though - and it would make filming a bit tricky.

    hi just a quick question I was on an air rifle site looking for an Evanix sniper k and it said they deliver to to your door in the UK now I was under the impression that that was not allowed and had to be sent to your nearest gun dealer could you you help me out with this am I wrong or does the site sound dodgy

    • @amigaman9433
      @amigaman9433 7 лет назад

      in accordance with the VCR Act of 2007 any business selling new airguns has to become a Registered Firearms Dealers and you can only buy from them direct, and not by mail-order but they will most likely use their own courier to deliver airguns in England and Wales as no licence is required for sub 12 only proof you are over 18, you will be required to show proof of age and sign for the weapon for it to be handed over.
      They are basically extending the shop to your door.

    Is there any animals you hunters don't shoot?

    • @theshootingshow
      @theshootingshow  7 лет назад +1

      Hi Bruce.
      Are you implying that grey squirrels should not be shot?
      They are an invasive species that has contributed to the decline of our native red squirrel, numerous songbird species and dormice. The damage they cause to trees degrades woodland habitat and also costs the UK forestry industry millions of pounds every year.
      Is it your view that they should not be controlled at all, or would you prefer to see it done by poisoning or trapping?
      Kind regards. Mat

    • @AmericanHero911
      @AmericanHero911 7 лет назад

      I'd prefer to see nature balance herself out. Although the grey squirrel is an "invasive species" it does not mean they cannot be controlled without further human interference.
      Squirrels have plenty of natural predators - they are often attacked by flying predators such as hawks and owls. On the ground, squirrels need to be on the lookout for all the foxes, coyotes, wildcats, weasels and snakes that eat them whenever they get a chance.
      Kind regards, Mr Nigg

    • @theshootingshow
      @theshootingshow  7 лет назад +1

      I wish it were that simple, Bruce. My background is in conservation, and the problems caused by grey squirrels in the UK are acknowledged by most of our major conservation organisations.
      The introduction of invasive species effectively does away with any balance of nature - you're adding an incompatible component to an ecosystem that has developed over thousands of years. The grey squirrel out-competes virtually all of our small mammals and birds, and none of our indigenous predators are capable of having a significant impact - hence grey squirrels have spread and established rapidly. Many of the predators you list are absent in the UK.
      For an idea of the problems introduced species cause to the balance of an ecosystem, Google 'introduced species New Zealand'. The impact has been devastating there, and that's a very large landmass. The UK is very small by comparison, which means the impact tends to be felt even more quickly. Introductions are usually made with good intentions but the unforeseen problems can be huge. We have similar problems with plants, too - Himalayan Balsam and Japanese Knotweed being just two that are causing major damage.
      Kind regards. Mat
