A guy who went earned his black in 3.5 years of training was sandbagged? It seems a bit ludicrous, but it's actually kind of true - Gunni was giving black belts fits even in his latter days as a purple - it just wasn't appropriate to fast-track him any more than was actually done(which was plenty), mainly because for long stretches of time he trained in Iceland with no resident BB - he's our first :D

Einar Friðgeirs He's definitely good. He was trained by Renzo..I wouldnt expect any less from his bjj.

Kenny Baker I keep asking the same question to myself . McGregor doesn’t wrestle nor is a fluid as John is ,why not. He never wrestled in any of his fights . That play wrestling we just watched , McGregor would have tapped ,He definitely can’t fight or be composed enough to get out of an armbar. I don’t get Why??
      Stay Blessed

I said 'twister control' from which leglocks can also be applied, not just the twister.

That is how that guillotine choke escape works.

john is good but this is pretty much how i expected he would do against a really elite grappler like gunnar

Manne Feroz thats what i keep telling people how they think comor has no ground game when he rolls with gunnar everyday snd now dillion danis for the last yr or so. conor has a wicked ground skill set. showed it against halloway, and dennis bermudez a d1 wrestler struggled to drag halloway down.

Gunnar learned his BJJ from John.

rick rich He doesnt roll with Gunni everyday. Gunni lives on iceland and only visits SBG when he has fight and it serves as his training camp. Dillon is a new yorker but he is Conor's main training partner in bjj whenever he has a fight. Conor rolls with his irish mates most of the time and with coach K.

Sean Ó Briain Nope, he got his BJJ training from Renzo Gracie. Kavanagh is just his mma coach.

Casual, Gunni is and always has been a sbgi / mjolnir team member. He was given his blue purple from Matt Thornton / Karl Tanswell and his brown from kav. He went to New York and trained and was given his black at the end of his trip.
He has since returned To Iceland and mjolnir with this being his home and still trains across the sbgi network

Gunnar could have gotten twister control earlier when he was was on john's back with one hook in. Very good tho, John Kavanagh is amazing so Gunnar must be pretty good too.

Yea but he hasn’t shown McGregor how to do this ?? Or McGregors not into his trainers crotch, sweaty balls.as he says they’re not real fighters . Another name he gave it was hugging. McGregor should have skills in wrestling with a coach/trainer like John . John didn’t tap 😂😂😂
