Appreciate the work you put into the videos. Wheel base and truck and wheel height really make a big difference to me. I had an FA deck with a really steep nose and tail and I had trouble skating it. I went from a 56 to 53mm wheel and it made the board more manageable. Trying different combinations of set up is fun but also a battle to adapt your style to.

Very cool effect as to how the camera rod was removed from the video. You see the shadow but don't see the rod. I like the explanation of wheel base regarding pop & the tail. I skated my kids board that is 8" wide a little over 31.5" long but the wheelbase is 13 1/8" only. The whole thing is throwing me off. I may try this experiment with moving the rear trucks back closer to the tail.

What about the wheelbase of longboards, how do they differ?

Wheel base on long boards work on a seesaw effect. The closer together the wheel base the quicker the turn, the further apart the more stable.

Good video! I wasn't aware it had this effect on getting it to pop. I think I like a maximised wheelbase with this benefit to the pop, however the wheelbase in terms of distance between the two trucks can't be too big or it becomes uncomfortable to ride with. So maybe a slightly shorter board, with maximum wheelbase would be perfect. I'm also riding a 8.45" board now, so that probably is a bit bigger than optimal for me as beginner. But at the same time, it's somewhat reassuring knowing there's plenty of room to land a trick too. So it kind of evens out.
