Cool set up, Jeff!!! Been dreaming of having this for myself. You really are an inspiration to me. You have a career on your own and cycling is just a hobby.
I vote to put the bike on the wall. Nice garage, you can tell you just moved. That space will fill up after a few years, you'll barely be able to walk around 😂
Great setup. Removing or reducing friction to training / bike maintenance is key to consistency for both, IMO. 5:53 Suggestion: paint a large piece of timber the same colour as the wall and attach it to the wall. Install the back half of the frame into that piece of timber. As if the bike has ridden into the wall...
Looks so good! I live in downtown Toronto in an open loft, so I can't have my own pain cave, bike room, whatever, so I'll live vicariously through yours! Also wondering how many people got the MTV reference....
@@NorCalCycling Not sure if you have the pull, but there is a silly typographical error on the company home page ( Environmental Conservation Compliance, and "Resoration") 🙃 Great video by the way. I wish I had that much space!
Looks awesome, how did you pick the flooring? Do you have a link? Looks like you have something your chair could roll on, but also pretty sweat/grime absorbent for the workbench/indoor riding.
Need a rack for clothing, there's no way you're throwing sweaty biking bibs/jersey/etc right into those containers. Hangers and a compact clothes hanger on wheels that you can move around and store when not in use.
Hang the bike! Not sure if it will fit, but it might look cool in a corner with one piece on each wall where the walls meet. Or would it fit on both sides of the door so the door opened through the bike? Great space and thanks for sharing.
I continually struggle with matching exact setup between gravel/ road bikes and other. How do you accurately transfer the setup between indoor bike and road bike? Any tips would be a big help!!!
what mr jaycobsen says and I also use a plumb bob for things like saddle setback with respect to the bottom bracket. If you're not super particular like me you can get close easily with reach and stack measurements.
Fan Upgrade: I have multiple fans plugged into smart plugs. I can control them individually or in groups using Alexa or using a Flic smart button. Same for my LED mood lighting.
normal mid season break turned into a longer one because we moved into a new house, and also had a loss in the family that took me away from training/racing for a while
6:53 😂 the classic GCN „I do a budget bike build and oh I found a Dura-Ace crank in the bin“. Absolute dream that place👍
was about to comment if those were 60buck cranks
RIP SL7 honor it on the wall!
Rip venge
Wrecked bike is a good wall piece. Great reminder that you can’t control every outcome but you recovered and that cycling is still worth the comeback!
Cool backstories on each of the jerseys, definitely deserve to be on display instead of stuck in a drawer.
That broken frame would look cool in a corner. One piece on adjoining walls.
⬆ THIS IS THE WAY 🔥
Absolutely LOVE the REMOVE THE BARRIERS philosophy.. I have my basement set up the exact same way, I have ZERO excuses not to ride.
this is the way
In the midwest we use our garage to park our vehicles 🤣 Fantastic bike setup!
Cool set up, Jeff!!! Been dreaming of having this for myself. You really are an inspiration to me. You have a career on your own and cycling is just a hobby.
Beautiful setup and I really appreciate you taking the time to share the details!
I vote to put the bike on the wall. Nice garage, you can tell you just moved. That space will fill up after a few years, you'll barely be able to walk around 😂
exactly, always fighting the clutter lol
Use the broken frame for ambient lighting fixtures. Drop outs can be the mounting point for the light.
Wow! What a dream to have such a garage! 😍

I've had a remote for my fans for a couple of years now. Its a game changer.
That pain cave is the size of the apartment I'm renting to live in with 2 roomies
Awesome space! Put that bike on the wall 🙌🏼🙌🏼
Wish my pain cave was half as neat and clean as that.
Looks so good! I live in downtown Toronto in an open loft, so I can't have my own pain cave, bike room, whatever, so I'll live vicariously through yours! Also wondering how many people got the MTV reference....
Definitely mount the broken frame on the wall. That’s a clutch talking-point for a cool story. 👍
Put the SL7 on the wall but put it as its going INTO the wall, like the front half is in the other room!
Congrats on the new spot my dude. 😘
Thanks Christopher miss you buddy
Cool! You should invest in acoustic panels. It will make sound much better!
I love the purple jersey, such a cool look! And ofc. awesome garage, well done.
Edit: oh and put that bike on the wall :D
You work for NASA??? Science guy wasnt a bad description lol
I don't think he works for NASA, just a cool sticker lol... pretty sure he's said before he's a geologist.
NASA also hires geologists 👍
@@NorCalCycling Lmao I stand corrected
@@adamwebthere are a couple of big rocks up there as well as all the empty space i hear :)
@@NorCalCycling Not sure if you have the pull, but there is a silly typographical error on the company home page ( Environmental Conservation Compliance, and "Resoration") 🙃
Great video by the way. I wish I had that much space!
Setup looks great! I think the only thing missing there is a trashcan. And maybe a laundry basket for dirty rags or kit.
wow, totally nailed it! i've added these things 👌
Nice choice Jeff I have the same exact set up🎊
Excellent video!! Although I am not familiar with the phrase "too many bikes"?
Me neither
Nice pain cave. Now get that frame on the wall and get those jerseys properly framed!
Also, where's the gym section for strength training?
helmets and shoes would be cool to hang on the wall too! im jealous :D
Just missing the Cold Plunge!
You’re clearly of German descendent;-) cool place. Only thing missing are some weights and a work-out bench
My favorite, the NASA backdrop
If you aren't already planning on it, maybe label your cabinets. That's a lot to just remember!
good point, maybe after a couple months, i'm afraid i'll rearrange and have to redo it right now
That’s the dream. May I suggest adressing the echo though, if you will record a lot videos there. Or do the speaker voice somewhere else.
Love it! Stupid question... how did you mount your Park Tools Hex wrench to your peg board? I can't for the life of me figure it out.
Thanks!!
yes to the nasa sticker and the clean environment. I'd be sad if my car had to ;ive outside though!
Thanks for sharing. You are very organized. Not sure how your weather is do you have HVAC in the space and how do you like the flooring?
Looks awesome, how did you pick the flooring? Do you have a link? Looks like you have something your chair could roll on, but also pretty sweat/grime absorbent for the workbench/indoor riding.
I have a pic of you @Legion event at the start line. You might want to frame the jerseys so they stay protected
Definitely a good look when you would put the broken bike up there!!
Put frame on wall and add led light behind it with flashing in crached parts.
There's a very scientific mathematical formula for this. N+1: N being the number of bikes we currently own. 😉
Damn I wish I could afford a garage, the guest "bedroom" will do for now...... only 4 bikes in there and my computer desk in there right now.
@NorCalCycling Hi, can you link those roof lights? They look amazing!
I need to boost the lighting in my garage and those fit the bill.
beautiful yououououououou love it!
Apparently no cars allowed in the garage. You need a Clapper for your fans. :P
The stationary bike look a bit weird but overall this pain cave is incredible
Could you share the floor mat you are using here? Looking very nice!
husky pvc flooring, thank you!
1:56 I see you've been hanging out with Michael Scott.
lol that's gotta be my favorite episode
You Need a Vintage Steel Road Bike 🤙🤙
Need a rack for clothing, there's no way you're throwing sweaty biking bibs/jersey/etc right into those containers. Hangers and a compact clothes hanger on wheels that you can move around and store when not in use.
What flooring did you put down? Thanks for the advice
Nice Garage, but why is there a leafblower from makita between the bike stuff :)?
Can’t believe you store your bikes drive-side in. Drive side out!
6:10 I do have "SOME" cycling stuff
YES hang the SL7 on the wall! And how on earth do you keep your workbench tops so damn clean???
I had to make the video while things were still clean lol
What brand/model are those fans?
Also have an HTC jersey from the year prior 🤘
wish I was a 56cm guy, I'm a 58cm or I'd buy that bike immediately!
Hang the bike! Not sure if it will fit, but it might look cool in a corner with one piece on each wall where the walls meet. Or would it fit on both sides of the door so the door opened through the bike? Great space and thanks for sharing.
“pain” cave? still? Zone 2. come toward the light!! 😅
What heart rate strap are you using? Love that it's not ust a regular black one
any story on why youre not repairing that sl7 and sending it to someone at calvee?
Hey Jeff you have the link of ceiling lighting?
Kicking myself now for making a low ball offer on that bike 😢 🚲
Jeff what’d you use to hang your jerseys?
Would you mind sharing details on the upvc floor mats and the vertical bike storage units please?
husky pvc flooring from home depot. not cheap, kind of tedious to install, but the finished product is worth it.
one of the storage racks i've had for like 15 years, the other i just bought from amazon. just popped a link in the description.
@@NorCalCycling thank you so much. Embarking on a garage refurb so this is great info
Where did you source the black cabinets?
Nobody’s garage is that clean lol
I continually struggle with matching exact setup between gravel/ road bikes and other. How do you accurately transfer the setup between indoor bike and road bike? Any tips would be a big help!!!
1m long steel ruler, spirit level, lazer and an indoor trainer.
what mr jaycobsen says and I also use a plumb bob for things like saddle setback with respect to the bottom bracket. If you're not super particular like me you can get close easily with reach and stack measurements.
What, no EJ pin up posters on the wall?!?😝
Goon cave
See now I just park my cars in the garage, so…. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
why am I not surprised that you yet again violated my copyright and the terms of my contract with Mikes Bikes? People like you are why I got out
Fan Upgrade: I have multiple fans plugged into smart plugs. I can control them individually or in groups using Alexa or using a Flic smart button. Same for my LED mood lighting.
What saddle bag is that on the soloist?
Pain cave....black storage Space...maybe Jeff is into BDSm 😂😂😂
No cars?
Mount it!!!
👍
Fred Shed
Which flooring is that?
husky pvc from home depot
damn, lots of capital equipment bikes & non bike tax deductions!
why are you selling it...arent you happy with it?
commited to never parking a car inside?
absolutely, it's for bikes and videos 100%
A cool >$200k "training cave"... who is going to top it?
Please dont scream into the camera. I can hear you just fine.
for sure hang the old frame
yes!
Or art, not a broke bike. You don’t have to relive the traumas lol
Do you race bikes anymore?
normal mid season break turned into a longer one because we moved into a new house, and also had a loss in the family that took me away from training/racing for a while
That trainer setup/fit looks super off!
kinda ugly but super functional
Who cares??? 😂😂😂
EEEW he’s got a winspace 🤢
