@@FearlessConcern of course! It wasn’t me who found it out though, I’ve just seen it in other comment sections
People are saying secret, eerie, scary, etc. but idk because I’m not fluent in German. Other than that it’s pretty relative so maybe I’m just confused.
She starts talking while Tyler still says something so you can't completely hear it but it definitely says unheimlich which would be "scary", "creepy" not geheim like "secret"
Someone said that phrase is also repeated in French, but I can’t hear it 🤷🏻♀️
I think Tyler being Clancy retcons the letter where he says he watched Tyler in the canyon in Jumpsuit's music video. though, the lyircs of Trapdoor makes me think Clancy, the original person, is actually dead and Tyler took on his name, a name he found on a (neon) grave (stone), and used it to fight the bishops, and the Still Alive secret message in the red letters could be about how Clancy's name and Legacy are Still Alive.
Oh when he was under Nico’s “leash” he had an out of body experience
From the most recent clancy letter on the dmaorg website: "the out of body account of the rider in the river". This confirms Tyler was Clancy in the Jumpsuit music video I'm pretty sure but its just a theory. Tyler taking clancy's name is also a great theory though, I just think clancy's most recent letter in the dmaorg website possibly debunked it |-/
@@FearlessConcern ya, the mention of the out of body thing in that letter makes me think that Tyler has been Clancy this whole time. It’s still pretty confusing though

I kinda felt like Tyler/Clancy dropped the Keons storyline in this video because unless fans have read all the Clancy letters on the DEMAorg site, & studied the lore behind what each Bishop represents (via the 9 circles from the Blurry Face album, etc), one might not know who Keons is. I’m seeing a lot of comments where people think the other 8 Bishops killed Nico at the beginning of the Outside MV & Clancy possessed Nico’s body w/the antlers. That was Keons. Nico is alive and well and Clancy is coming for him!
That said…TØP can be pretty cryptic & there’s no way that Tyler could explain the FULL 10++ years of lore in a 4 minute video. Good primer tho and CRAZY to hear Tyler finally talk out loud about all of this! 😅❤️🔥

Thank you! I'm really glad they clarified that Keons seized trash and then the bishops killed him for it. Because we only saw it happening in the saturday and outside music videos but it was never confirmed in any of clancy's letters which bishop it was, although lots of people theorized it was keons and were right |-/
I Didnt know about DEMA until halfway between TRENCH and SAI, and since them am fully invested in this story, thanks for the video!! Cant wait to continue the story! :D

I loved watching your theories and explanations on the new teaser. I feel like, because it's Tyler, that every THING he says in this video is intentional... that, this "recap" is still very cryptic. It was very much a good high level run down of the lore, but there is a lot of intentional wording. He repeats himself about being a citizen, an escapee and an exception to the rule a few times. But also- in Stressed Out, doesn't he call himself Blurryface? And how on earth did he talk Nico in to taking him on a road trip? Also, you mentioned the bishops killed Keons for betraying them- others have mentioned that who they killed was Nico... See, so many questions still! LOL Gosh he's a mastermind.
Thank you!! Yes I agree, I think Tyler definitely repeated those things because he wanted us to remember them. I wonder if maybe they are song titles? Even if they aren't, it also just sounds really cool. He does call himself blurryface in stressed out but its only when his eyes are red which implies Nico was controlling him I think, so maybe that was Nico speaking through Tyler? This is what Tyler says in the video: "Then Nico was betrayed." We know that Keons betrayed him because on the new map of Dema (which people received in the mail and is also in the video) the circle representing keons is hollow, which implies that he is the bishop that died. Also, pretty sure trapdoor's lyrics are actually "as he falls through a blatant trapdoor" which means he knows the trapdoor is there or he is too ignorant/naive to see it. thank you for the video!
Ohhh.. although I guess it still fits the theory pretty well either way. The bishops brainwash the citizens so that even though they can see the trapdoor, they fall through it anyway. Or that the trapdoor is right in front of them but they're so brainwashed that they don't see it. Thanks for watching! |-/

Great video! But I am still confused because at the end of the video Clancy has a black neck, which means he is still under control of Nico (Blurryface) right?
Clancy becomes the 10th bishop, the new logo is the number 10, number 10 in numerology represents the completion of one cycle and the start of another
That is a cool theory and I've seen it going around, but it doesn't make sense to me. If you listen to what Tyler/Clancy is saying in the video he says he's been stuck in a cycle he can't break. Every time he leaves dema he gets better at escaping. He calls himself an escapee. He basically talks bad about the bishops and dema throughout the entire video. He says he is an exception to the rule. His power makes him the citizens' only hope. I think the red tape is a threat to the bishops bc he doesnt have to hide anymore bc he has discovered he has the same power they do. I think his outfit is a vigilante outfit, not a villain outfit. It's still a cool theory. There's just no proof at all to back it up and that would mean that Clancy was lying to us this entire time, which I feel like would be a pretty drastic plot twist. Plot twists are usually somewhat hinted at throughout a storyline and we've had no hints that Clancy's ever been on the side of the bishops. Also, this whole story is very dark. Talking about really dark aspects of mental health and I feel like it needs to have a positive ending. Not an evil one. I don't think Tyler would do that because I think he wants to send a positive message about mental health, not a hopeless one

Woman I loved your theory about Trapdoor, I love this track from the album Twenty One Pilots they made a contrast with it right away this is my favorite from this album I can't believe I hadn't thought of this before. Thank you woman for this theory I've already adopted Tyler is very genius

As you see him fall through a trap door bleeding (Blurryface representing the depression and anxiety faced by Tyler and the representation of the violism cult about suicide as a way to go to paradise, a false idea because in reality they just want control and possession They just need his body, just like the vultures take advantage of the state of those who are already at a disadvantage to feed him. This is why Trench's cape is symbolized by a Vulture. In the LEVITATE video before NICO CAPTURES CLANCY APPEARS THE SAME VULTURE AND PREVIOUSLY IN JUMPSUIT when Nico puts his hands on Tyler's neck and marks him black then we also see the same vulture, in Nico And The Niners again the same bastard this vulture watching over Clancy in SECONDS 00:28 to 00 ;33).

Nico has always called himself Blurryface. It goes back to Stressed Out "My name's Blurryface and I care what you think." We didn't know Blurryface's name was Nico until Trench. Before that we thought Blurryfacenwas an alternative piece of Tyler that represented his insecurities and fears. Which also reflects everyone's insecurities and fears & Tyler is showing us that we can fight and win the battle against our insecurities and fears, like Clancy. A fight we weren't sure could be won until now.
@@bandito6678 I'm curious too. I went back and listened to the Blurryface album today and it's crazy the amount of easter eggs and little nuggets of information a lot attributed to something else, for example, Tyler was Clancy. Goner hits completely different.
The three languages are German, French, and Spanish. these three languages when translated make the same general message: "This small eerie island has made me a weapon. We both believe that we can use it to change the momentum of this war." The is an exception in German, where the message is altered in one way; "we both" is changed to you.
The voice says " Diese (un)-heimliche Insel hat mich zu einer Waffe gemacht" which means " this secret/scary island made me a weapon". I'm not sure rather it is scary or secret because they can be pretty similar words in german and clancys voice is overlapping with the gernan one. But I think both words fit the islands vibes

I am german and think she's saying something like "Die unheimliche Insel hat mich zu einer Waffe gemacht" which would mean "the scary Island has made me into a weapon" but the beginning is hard to understand :) She might also be saying "die heimliche Insel ..." which would mean "the secret island ..." as I've seen some other people say in the comment section!
But I think the first one is more likely as it makes sense with her speech rhythm, she takes a bit too long for it to just be "die heimliche Insel". But thats just my opinion! :3

Something that's interesting to me is that in the old Clancy letters, he talks about having something of a special relationship with Keons, as though Keons is his main contact with the bishops, and also I believe in one of the letters he talks about Keons taking him back from Trench into Dema.
(I went and looked through the old letters. These are the quotes I'm referring to):
"While we had heard legend of the ruthlessness of other bishops, Keons possessed a stoic demeanor unlike anyone I had ever met, and we were all proud to serve."
"Keons had always seemed gentle and warm - this Bishop, at least out here, seemed like something else."
"Keons approached as the sun rose one morning. I wasn't scared. I was relieved. After all that he had taught me, his presence was the most comforting moment that I had in days, and I couldn't help but be happy to see his. In true Keons fashion, he wrapped his arms around me, then put his hands under my face, looked me in the eyes, and said 'Clancy, child, let's go home.'"
"At the end of the session, Keons would take my pen, gather my writings, and send me back. This went on for months."
I'm trying to square this with Tyler being Clancy, and talking about Nico/Blurryface being the one who recaptures him. I'm sure there's an explanation for this, but I'm not 100% sure what it is. (I imagine it has SOMETHING to do with Keons betraying Nico in Saturday?) I'd be curious to hear your thoughts
I think that Tyler has been portraying the character of Clancy since the Trench era. In Clancy's letters we learn that Keons was very different than the other bishops. Keons seized Trash the sea monster during the Saturday music video to help Clancy escape. We know it was Keons because there was a diagram of the antler ritual uploaded to the dmaorg site that said "seize keons" on it. This could mean that keons knew that he would be killed for helping clancy escape and if he died, clancy would be able to seize him. Maybe keons felt guilty for serving as a bishop and wanted to make amends by helping clancy take down the bishops. |-/ A more recent clancy letter describes that part of the jumpsuit music video as an out of body experience and clears up that Nico took Clancy back to Dema, not Tyler.
