- The Music is by my friend Dr Chris Gillette, a Jazz Guitarist and Professor of Music. My brother, a master luthier, built him a classical cutaway. Chris wrote this song and played it on that guitar. He calls it, "On the Brooks," a nod to our last name.

WOW! I live in interior Alaska and could only get oak for restoring my gunwales after 30 years of use. I used a 12 inch scarf joint and gorilla glue after ripping 8 foot boards with a table saw. The 12 inch scarf joint is easy with a simple jig and a 12 inch chop saw. When I lived in New Hampshire, it was easy to get long ash boards to rip. I enjoyed your craftsmanship especially those huge decks! WOW!
