  • in this video I show you some sound examples the Jazz Chorus JC 22 from Roland offers.
It is a 30 watt transistor stereo amplifier.
it's 444$ new and with about 26lbs a little bit heavy for its size. It can get surprisingly loud, you can easily gig with it in small clubs and bars etc.
I'm playing a Dotch Stratocaster and you are hearing nothing but the amplifier, no external effects.

Definitely one of the best demo on this little gem 🎉

I have two of these amps and run them in a wet/dry configuration. The sound is absolutely heavenly. These are beautiful amps.

I've tried and compared a JC22 with a number of other small amps and the JC22 won hands down. Apart from the solid tone and strength at volume, the cabinet itself is really built to last. I actually ended up very disapointed with the other brands that I tried and was glad I never got stuck with one.

Nice demo! These are good sounding amps and (if you want it) surprisingly loud.

Thanks! Yes, I totally agree. You could easily play in small clubs and / or bars and places like this with this amp.

The JC chorus is more like the CE1 than the CE2.

Yes. I do believe . . . that is correct. Either-way it sounds great. I love "Pristine Cleans" - I have a 65 Princeton Reverb = Hypnotic. Great tones brother. Enjoyed it.

Yes, indeed. We all know that the origin of the CE1 is the Jazz Chorus, but the JC-22 has no vibrato mode. It's just a chorus section with speed and depth. Therefore I compare it more to the CE 2.

There a volume drop when you engage the tremolo, also the tremolo comes after the effects loop. It's lacking for those who use this with a looper. For recording from a microphone, I guess it will work fine.

just adjust the volume when engaging the chorus. it's not that deep.

@@kevone-eo6pq If that would work for you, that's great.
Not for me, not in a band or with using a fancy looper. It should come with a volume pedal.
      BTW, mine is the JC-40.
      Cheers!
