Mouth-Watering Slow Cooked Beef Madras: A Curry Lover's Dream

- Melt-in-the-mouth beef, slow-cooked in a rich, spicy sauce. The heat cooks out a little in this recipe, so it’s more of a warming heat, rather than a hard-hitting raw heat.
I love the texture of the sauce in this recipe. It's thick and sumptuous, and of course it's rich and flavourful too. Spicy-but-not-too-spicy. That beautiful texture comes from the blending of the onions, garlic and ginger. It's such a great way to start a curry sauce as it means no 'bits' in the sauce, which some people don't like.

I made this for supper last night. My initial reservation about the amount of hot curry powder was completely unfounded and it turned out to be the best curry I've ever made. So huge thank you Nicky for another fabulous recipe!
Nikki, your family must be 70 favourites!
You better believe I'm gonna make this! Looks heavenly
I really love this in winter thanks for the recipe.
My wife doesn't normally like curry, BUT she absolutely loved this recipe and wants more, thanks for this.

I think I'll try this using a slow cooker.
I made this last night, I did not have any bay leaves, tamarind paste, and ginger in my cupboard, but I still made it and it was the best curry I have put together. I am going to make it again at the weekend for my stepson, he loves madras, but I will try chicken this time. as its his favourite.
Looks like another winner!

I've just made this and oh WOW I can't believe how delicious the sauce has turned out! It took significantly less time than a different BIR madras recipe I followed but with the same amazing flavour!

Looks exactly like beef served in the Indian restaurant I sometimes go. I really like it and now I want to try it out myself.

What oven temperature? Electric?
Hey Nicky I like the highlights and curls in your hair. Very pretty. The recipe looks good too. Cheers from Boston!
Okay, so if I'm not using a natural beef stock that I've made myself, which beef stock do you use? Do I use a stock do I use? Do I use a stock pot by K, or do I use standard stock cubes by the same company, or another company? Thanks Nikki in advance
Nobody cares
Tesco finest beef stock pouch is pretty good. Or a good quality stock pot. Knorr rich beef is good 👍
@@LukeM1986 Thanks very much for your kind reply Luke...Much appreciated 🙏🏻🙋🏻♂
@@elijahheyes9061 no worries
Would this work in slow cooker??
Why not!
Another belter Katie.I want to make this. Can i use skinless boneless chicken instead? If so can i still use beef stock or does that need to change?
👍👍
Can you put a Keama Mata on x
So if you're a peasant like me and dont have big enough oven, how long would you leave it on the stove instead.
Looks very nice ! ..what would be the timings for a slow cooker please ?
Are you serious? tch,,honestly ,,,some people. She is a busy girl,,leave her alone.
@@deeryker you are one weird keyboard warrior
3 days in the slow cooker at lowest heat add water if dries up
👍😋😋👌🙏👩🏻🍳
Beautiful Hindu beef madras
The background music is not needed, and quite annoying. The recipe looks good.
Where's the chilli? Madras should be fairly spicy
Great recipe, however the background noise drowned out your verbal description of the recipe. Sizzle noise too loud I'm afraid.
🙄
Agreed
Are you deaf mate?
There's a transcript facility available.
I don’t have a food processor so this excludes me, shame.
Just dice the ingredients up finely, the cooking time will reduce them enough by the end
@@johneddie3521 Or grind them in a molcahete.
Please cut out the music, it’s so annoying and not needed !! The recipe is great though.
Hi Nikcy I was looking forward to this recipe. As I carried on watching the video and we got to the part of the dry ingredients. I was expecting authentic fresh powders. Instead you used a ‘madras curry powder’.
I felt dissatisfied with your overall video. I think you have misled with this video and instead cheated.
A curry lover’s dream ideally includes food cooked from scratch including all the masala powders.
Indians don’t eat beef
Yes Indians do like in Goa and
Kerala, north east India etc... And the Muslim Indians too
Indians eat only delicious beef
