For whoever is seeing this video in June 2022, Gaijin have the tracer round removed from all the belts for J35A, as well as all other plane using same 30mm gun in Sweden tech tree. Now every belt J35A have is stealth belt and it’s nearly impossible to learn and practice this it’s gun. The guns for J35A located on its wing, which makes it even worse. If you are not familiar with the ballistics of the gun already, I strongly advise not buying this plane. Edit: now with new planes like the SU25K and A10 added to the game near the same BR, the issue with weak missile and no counter measures has been magnified. With the meta at it’s br (9.7) in RB, the four RB24 (AIM9B) are pretty useless unless your target was not paying attention and flying straight, and with no flare, almost all your opponents has better missiles than you cannot shake off or left you with no energy after dodging. I find it only enjoyable to fly in Air AB where it’s only a 8.7 line up if you bring a single J35A or in ground RB when people often don’t dodge your missile because there are no indicators. Definitely used to be a good plane, but with all the changes and meta shifting, it’s no longer a enjoyable plane to fly in Air RB and definitely should NOT be recommended to anyone who is trying to start Sweden Air Tree. The J35XS is definitely a better option even though it’s a bit more expensive.
I'm sure it should definitely fight against 8.3s as a 9.3. And I know it will because I see so many either fully commiting to head ons or dumping all their speed and getting shredded
Well its not hard to dump your speed in this thing lol...1 turn n your under 900kmh from Mach....it barely does 1400kmh....n I ripped it once at 1410kmh not even w a 18g overload it was like a roll or something n wings ripped...I feel like it should be 9.3....at 9.7 I see top tier f4e mig21s f5es fgrs ja37s j35ds....why make a plane that's worse than its exact counterpart and throw em in together to fight...I was for sure I wouldn't be seeing NO 35d variants cuz WHY WOULD I? I'm in a 35a that's a whole ass br and RANK below the 35d and 37....but nope...see top tier all aspect missiles and every plane on it has countermeasures and or radar warning for your silly ass aim9s that mostly just cost you weight....its pretty under armed its engine is alright I know it's a big ass plane....and for me it's handling sucks f5es harriers even mig21s and f4s will turn around n catch me even if I merge w em at Mach 1.20...im not one to always run back to base but this plane has forced me to if I'm not at optimal parameters I'm dead....
So far I don't regret buying mine but it is not for everyone is my feeling. It is not a guaranteed easy time, still gotta learn a lot to play it well. As you say cannon velocity is important to learn with this. Great video!
Got to say, I was expecting the Danish J35 with ground attack and rb24J, but it would have been stronger than the D in the tech tree so maybe that is what brought in the A
I was expecting/hoping to get the Danish J35 last patch in the tech tree and then the viggen and premium j35a this update but well you know what happened
I have enjoyed my draken a lot. And while I agree that energie retention is bad, I still managed to glide over half the distance on the Berlin air map from only 3500 feet back to base after the game only gave me 6 min of fuel when i had selected 20. Still. Amazing plane.Personally, I would recommend it if you are interested.

To be honest, after I uploaded this video, I realized that I did not include that in my review. At least not as much as I should have. The J35A is, in my opinion, one of the most capable dogfighters at a high BR, regardless of if its premium or not. The thing is that it has a relatively high skill cap and a decently high learning curve. You need to be good at multi-tasking (knowing your fuel levels, ammo levels, tracking numerous enemies at once, etc), be accurate with your cannons because you only have 200 shells, and you need to be able to make quick decisions. While many people might think that they are good at those things, doing it at a high level of proficiency, especially at this BR with jets, is far more difficult than with prop planes of any BR. I could probably do just as well, or better, in a match with this plane than I ever could with the F-5C - it's just that it's a difficult plane to master because it has so many flaws that can be difficult to overcome.
@@Tankenstein very well said^^ my experience with the j35d has been; its very very capable, BUT it takes the most attention/planning to each match.. so it can get draining to play, like needing to be super aware the whole time.. everytime I take out the j35d when I’m not focused on EVERYTHING I get clapped
Ha we see Ja37s f4es f5es mig21s even the f104 is faster than us...we see top tier more than lower atleast I do...even in my 8.3 I see 10.0 f4es f5cs mig21s there's no difference for me if I'm in 8.3 or 9.7 I still see ALL THE SAME PLANES maybe a diff variant but still an f4e is an f4e its the best plane in the game pretty much....I feel like the tiers don't mean shit when I'm in the lower half of rank 4 vehicles I shouldn't see the upper half or rank 5 vehicles...why even have br at that point? If your in a jet other than the first jet you get that plays against props which is bullshit still, then your facing top tier....I figured 9.7 would see 8.7 9.0 9.3 wayyyyyyyy more often than it would see 10.0 11.0....I know I've faced 11.0s in this thing all aspect missiles and enemies are ALL faster than you....1 turn and boom they caught you and it'll be a slight turn where no gs are pulled and your bleeding speed it barely stays above Mach w out the afterburner after reaching Mach...it WILL not go faster than 1600kmh during battle the parameters you need to reach its top speed are not suffice during battle there's no map in game that'll let it reach even near top speed...acceleration sucks under 700 800kmh you can only take 20 min of fuel or 6...wtf is 6 min of fuel for an option and 20 when other planes have options like 8 12 and 20 lol either I can take too much fuel for 1 battle or wayyyyyy to less fuel for barely even 1 engagement lol...worst purchase I made only good thing it'll do is grind the 37 if that lol 😆 missiles suck, any plane 9.0+ can EASILY dodge your missiles tahts if they even track, even tho it has radar and can lock radar on the heat signature....plane is not good for me, it's only an interceptor fly high fly fast and make 1 pass on an enemy and get the fuck out of there lol the game doesn't have teamwork and shit to where a niche plane is needed....most just use the f4e f5e harrier fgrs and mig 21s all those enemies out turn you are faster than you have better missiles than you and can climb w you lol

Oh man I love this plane. I can outturn most aircraft and if you get those guns on them at the right time they just explode. Missiles are hit or miss since they are basically 9b's but you can make lots with this plane. I've ground up half of the swedish tree in just a couple days.
Being the first jet to perform the cobra maneuver it really isn't surprising to hear it's an amazing dogfighter. IRL Draken is my favorite jet and it's great to hear that it does so well if you know how to play it.
Orrrrr maybe it could put the J32 at a lower BR and let this be the 9.7 Swedish jet? I love the lansen, but having to fight things that can go faster, turn better, climb better, and have better missiles is not fun at all
I picked up the Su-7BMK on Tuesday morning, do to I hit a barrier in the tech-tree at the MIG-17, and I need something to help with the progress. Sadly I had no chance to enjoy my new plane do to the update came out at the same time, and after it the sky was swarming J35As, witch i was an easy target to + the bombs needed to take out a base was increased so the load no longer enough to get a base kill with 1 run, and the crew training is 1.5M sl witch i can't afford, so trying to dogfight with it is not even an option. Still got some good battles somehow and managed to unlock 2 new jets in a single afternoon with it - one day i even gonna buy them too - so kind of worth it!
I had an excellent time using the tech tree mig 17. Grinding it wasn’t fun because it was when it was rank 6 and still costed like 360k rp and 990k sl but I enjoyed using it a lot.
@@drewfarmer05 I ment my top premium plane was the Yak-3VK, but i did not used it too much do its questionable armament ( low ammo, lot of sparks ), and the average 3000 vehicle RP/battle at rank 5/+ is meh...

This plane does not need to be 9.3, i have it. Only reason would be is that its premium so so many new players play it and dont know how to fly properly
I want to love this plane but with the current missile load and no tracers it makes it super hard to learn… it’s nothing like aiming any other top tier plane I’ve played and I can’t even see where my rounds are going
I regret buying it without tracers its to unforgiving a br to learn with. No countermeasures hurts at 9.0 and the radar doesn’t have a lead marker like it’s supposed to. It just hurts to play, I love the plane but it sucks to fly it currently
Normally I wouldn't offer any input on reviews for WT aircraft, as I think reviewers generally are pretty spot on. For this review though, I think you're really, almost severely underplaying just how strong this aircraft is relevent to its competition, and comparisons to the F-5C make little sense outside of the fact that they're both premiums. Firstly, the F-5C is a multi-role support fighter, while the Draken is an Air superiority fighter through and through. It's very important to point out to your viewerbase that the expectation when flying a Draken is to dominate the enemy team's air superiority fighters, whilst the F-5C is supposed to support and supplement its teams air superiority fighters. They're two very seperate aircraft with different performance envelopes and intended jobs. The J-35A isn't "Flawed" because it's not versatile. The F-22 Raptor isn't "Flawed" because it doesn't drop GBU's on heads. It's designed for pure air to air domination, and when it easily dominates at specifically this job, it doesn't NEED to offer CAS to be valuable. The F-5C gets 9E tipwinders at a BR where flares are commonplace, and you can fight literal top tier. The top tier aircraft in Air RB have on average higher TtW ratios, climb rates, Rating capabilities, missile loadouts, and radar, which the F-5C lacks. The Draken is a wolf among sheep at its BR, whereas the F-5 is a support. This is an important distinction in playstyle that needs to be made very clear. Secondly, I think your analysis of the Draken, flown under proper conditions is underplaying it. Kinematically speaking, there is no plane, NO PLANE, at its BR that can match it. Even an F-4C at 10.0 slick with only gunpod cannot kinematically match a 35A in a dogfight. The Draken isn't just agile, or fast, or well climbing, its all those things and better at them then its contemporaries. It will out VE, out Alpha, out rate, and out climb a MiG 21S under proper conditions. The idea, that this plane could rationally fit at 9.3 the same BR as an F-40 Sabre that not only cannot breach mach, but doesn't have an afterburner is insane. An F-5C at its proper turning speed at the deck, gets out alphad, and out rated by this plane. It gets out scissored. There isn't a plane that can survive a properly deployed reversal from this plane, at any battle rating. The only way you properly survive against a properly flown J35A, is if he messes up routinely, or if you have support to drain his energy, or he gets hit with a Magic 1 or R60 at below 1000km/h IAS. This plane isn't just "Excellent", flown properly, its overpowered, reaching into broken territory. Anecdotes aren't generally appropriate when trying to prove a point, but the fact I have a 79% winrate after 130+ battles is a sign that something is fucking WRONG with this plane. I would strongly urge any reader of this comment, to think deeply about the potential a plane with this level of kinematic performance is capable of if you are even reasonably disciplined or experienced at flying jets in this game. It is probably the most overpowered aircraft I have flown in a long, long time.
Exactly what I was thinking 30 matches into playing the MiG-19. If the Farmer is considered a REALLY good plane for its BR, then what the hell is the J35A capable of? It doesn't have as strong of engines or as of fast climb rate, but it's pretty damn close! Also can outrun the Farmer by a huge margin based on what I've merely observed. Add in the sweet Swedish 30mm, 4 AIM-9Bs, and the best overall control of any jet at that BR, and you've got a plane that can slap the competition without even getting its hands dirty.
Deeply flawed aircraft, 9.3, excuse me?! This thing is brutal. Yes, it's hard to recommend for someone who has to rely on space bar skills with already stupendously good F-5C to grind anything, sure. But these people should not really go to tier 6 yet, they just aren't ready for that environment and will be much better off grinding at a lower BR with an easier plane to learn. But give this thing to a person who has more than a year jet experience and more than two brain cells, and things will become EXTREMELY dirty! You see, while I still think that putting supersonic aircraft like Lightning, MiG-21F and alike to 9.7-9.3 was a MAJOR mistake, they at least either had a trash cannon or handle like a whale, so they are not capable of singlehandedly wiping the entirety of enemy team. This thing, however, not only is fast and carries 4 missiles to force a turn, but it also has outright the best maneuverability in game, coupled with a pair of ADENs. Any jet fighter main who knows BFM and at good terms with energy management would be seal clubbing there. I am a good duelist. Theoretically I can try to rate fight a brain dead Draken in a CL13Mk6 of MiG-17/minfuel15bis, but only a Draken which is silly enough to dump all his speed and if I dodge the attack. In this case, maybe it's possible. But anything else is outright incapable of fighting it. And if Draken is smart, as every tier 6 plane owner has to be, there is no counter to it at all. What the hell am I supposed to do against a Draken in a 8.3 aircraft? Take some random F9F, what can they do? This thing is twice as fast, it turns circles around them, it outguns them in a head on, and even acceleration is not bad in comparison with those Korean War era jets. There is just no way around that. Asking for 9.3 just because "nuuu it duznt kerry muh bombz" is outright moronic. This is a dedicated air dominance fighter, deal with it. If you think it should go to 9.3, you might as well ask 9.3 for the J35D. Hecc, JA37C does not carry bombs, let's put it to 9.0 to give it 10/10, shall we? WTF is this scale btw? If the aircraft is OP, that's BAD: it's bad for the people in matches with it, it's bad in the long term for those who buy them as inexperienced player in the long run, it's bad for the community and as the result, it's bad for the game. OP = 0/10. This thing is much worse than 104s and what not, because it isn't just a supersonic pencil, it's freaking angry doritto which outruns, outguns and outturns everybody, so there is nothing you can rely on in a fight against it. FFS, are you seriously suggesting to put it at the same BR as bloody Saber Dog! What's wrong with you?
2022 update, had the plane since it came out. This plane is by far my best premium and i have most of top tier premium jets. Now unlike other planes such as A-5 that are more usable for new players, the J35A is purely a skill based plane for experienced jet players as its hard to use but if you know how to fly this plane you will rack up kills like no buisness even using the aim 9Bs
@@seekerpro486 use your aim 9Bs and then get the A10 into a head on that he didnt expect and therefore you got the advantage or engage in a dogfight that you will win. The aim9Bs are more of a tool than a weapon on this plane
This plane should not go to 9.3 what are you smoking. the F4c would get clapped by this thing. it's better at high speed but it gets eaten alive anytime you're slow and it's at 10.3

Lovely video! Quick question , is the J35A Draken historically acuratte? I mean , that thing turns so damn fast , at least that's how it feels besides other planes! I have never reached top tier , so I'm new to jets anyway (exept the Hunter FGA 9 that I own for quite some time)!
Tank I got just one question I got the swedish summer pack with the j29 and CV I managed to get the first 122 a few days ago. And now I'm researching the first tech tree j29 and going for the viggen, but my friends both got the j35 and I dont really think I should get it but they are bugging me so I'm not sure if I should any advice?

You are better off with quadrillion of 3a games you can get on steam sales : But if you dont have basic decency the j35a draken literally sealclubs every jet on its br. also holy shit it has 530%sl reward as for the SL grinding itself i recommend things like british boston mk1. lowtier but quite maneuverable bomber with good offensive capability for the era. W booster you can get like 110k a game (and not spend a single penny on mental help as a bonus)

I already have the Japanese Corsair as a great low tier sl grinder but prop gameplay is becoming too slow for me so I wanted a good consistent jet. @@ErikMoroni j35A wastes energy really fast but that can be beneficial in my opinion. Mig 21s and 19s you emcounter have only 2 silimar rockets and thr latter cant keep up with your speed. Both cant keep with your maneuverability. I just hope we never meet cause that thing is painful to fight against
its an ok plane buit the the Br from 8.7 to 10.3 is just fucked up ... subsonic jets without afterburners and missiles have to fight mach 2 jets with missiles... also things like the sabres at 9.3 with 2 aim-9bs are jsut useless becasue they can fight MiG-21MF and F-4F earlys ... and the J35A is a difficult plane for beginners ...
I have to comment: me and a friend want to buy the aircraft but, in test drive we do not see that “compass”(in green) above the ticket bar and it would help to have it. I gotta ask is it there once we buy it or do we need to turn it on in the settings? Please help

Ngl this thing kinda fucked over my Hunter FGA.9. I just kinda outclasses it in every aspect, other than energy retention, which doesn't do much for me since the Draken just one-turns the Hunter in 9/10 cases. Buh thats BR compression for you
Says 2250kmh I can't get it over 1500kmh in test flight and haven't seen no youtuber get it even close to 2000kmh...even in a 20* dive from 7000m up it won't get near 2000kmh...is it just me or does the stat card lie
@@mtxdp4392 I mean I went to 11000m and dove to 9000m where they took the top speed from at 9000m and it will not keep its speed when the afterburner is turned off, so in arcade its never going to reach those speeds not even near it who's gonna be in battle and EVER reach mach2 the maps are soooo small for jets you'd never be able to fly straight for far enough to reach those....ill go try it out right now again and go in realistic and just fly straight at over 9000m in arcade its not feasible

Maneuverability? This turns slower than almost any jet I encounter. I wouldn't recommend this vehicle as it has sloppy mechanics, missiles which you cant rely on, cannons are useless, mediocre agility and maneuverability the list goes on...
It's not great right now, but I think that's largely because so many other planes get a huge boost in maneuverability, so that the J35A doesn't stand out as much. Additionally, the 30mm cannons take forever to do in-air reloads, which is a huge disadvantage compared to fast firing 20mm cannons.
@@Tankenstein It looses too much speed for Ab standarts. That fact alone combined with the really bad MER is making it very unreliable and matchmaking dependend in AB. It has 0 chance against any capable pilots in AB in a comparable plane. The accuracy on the akans isnt really that great, but that is because of the placement of the guns. If find your content great, but when it comes to the performance, sometimes i don´t know where your resume comes from. Definetly not worth it at all for AB, most of the players will regret the decision to buy it if they are Arcade main.

I'm sick of seeing mach capable jets at 9.7 and below. This thing has incredible engine power and turn rate. The argument for 9.3 is just insane to me. No reason for this thing to be anywhere lower than 10.0. Not because it's good, just because it has an incredible ceiling.
@@tomsmith7207 it has missiles and the best guns in the game. If the br's weren't so compressed I could honestly see the j35a being alright at fighting strictly 9.3 to 10.0. That said, nothing should be untouchable in a downtier. Matching that thing against a mig 15 or a base saber can't be justified. A good pilot in a j35a wouldn't ever let themselves slip below mach and they would be untouchable

You need to be good at multi-tasking (knowing your fuel levels, ammo levels, tracking numerous enemies at once, etc), be accurate with your cannons because you only have 200 shells, and you need to be able to make quick decisions. While many people might think that they are good at those things, doing it at a high level of proficiency, especially at this BR with jets, is far more difficult than with prop planes of any BR. I could probably do just as well, or better, in a match with this plane than I ever could with the F-5C - it's just that it's a difficult plane to master because it has so many flaws that can be difficult to overcome.
@@Tankenstein very well said^^ my experience with the j35d has been; its very very capable, BUT it takes the most attention/planning to each match.. so it can get draining to play, like needing to be super aware the whole time.. everytime I take out the j35d when I’m not focused on EVERYTHING I get clapped

If your in a jet other than the first jet you get that plays against props which is bullshit still, then your facing top tier....I figured 9.7 would see 8.7 9.0 9.3 wayyyyyyyy more often than it would see 10.0 11.0....I know I've faced 11.0s in this thing all aspect missiles and enemies are ALL faster than you....1 turn and boom they caught you and it'll be a slight turn where no gs are pulled and your bleeding speed it barely stays above Mach w out the afterburner after reaching Mach...it WILL not go faster than 1600kmh during battle the parameters you need to reach its top speed are not suffice during battle there's no map in game that'll let it reach even near top speed...acceleration sucks under 700 800kmh you can only take 20 min of fuel or 6...wtf is 6 min of fuel for an option and 20 when other planes have options like 8 12 and 20 lol either I can take too much fuel for 1 battle or wayyyyyy to less fuel for barely even 1 engagement lol...worst purchase I made only good thing it'll do is grind the 37 if that lol 😆 missiles suck, any plane 9.0+ can EASILY dodge your missiles tahts if they even track, even tho it has radar and can lock radar on the heat signature....plane is not good for me, it's only an interceptor fly high fly fast and make 1 pass on an enemy and get the fuck out of there lol the game doesn't have teamwork and shit to where a niche plane is needed....most just use the f4e f5e harrier fgrs and mig 21s all those enemies out turn you are faster than you have better missiles than you and can climb w you lol

Oh man I love this plane. I can outturn most aircraft and if you get those guns on them at the right time they just explode. Missiles are hit or miss since they are basically 9b's but you can make lots with this plane. I've ground up half of the swedish tree in just a couple days.
Being the first jet to perform the cobra maneuver it really isn't surprising to hear it's an amazing dogfighter.
IRL Draken is my favorite jet and it's great to hear that it does so well if you know how to play it.
Orrrrr maybe it could put the J32 at a lower BR and let this be the 9.7 Swedish jet? I love the lansen, but having to fight things that can go faster, turn better, climb better, and have better missiles is not fun at all
I picked up the Su-7BMK on Tuesday morning, do to I hit a barrier in the tech-tree at the MIG-17, and I need something to help with the progress. Sadly I had no chance to enjoy my new plane do to the update came out at the same time, and after it the sky was swarming J35As, witch i was an easy target to + the bombs needed to take out a base was increased so the load no longer enough to get a base kill with 1 run, and the crew training is 1.5M sl witch i can't afford, so trying to dogfight with it is not even an option.
Still got some good battles somehow and managed to unlock 2 new jets in a single afternoon with it - one day i even gonna buy them too - so kind of worth it!
I had an excellent time using the tech tree mig 17. Grinding it wasn’t fun because it was when it was rank 6 and still costed like 360k rp and 990k sl but I enjoyed using it a lot.

I regret buying it without tracers its to unforgiving a br to learn with. No countermeasures hurts at 9.0 and the radar doesn’t have a lead marker like it’s supposed to. It just hurts to play, I love the plane but it sucks to fly it currently

Normally I wouldn't offer any input on reviews for WT aircraft, as I think reviewers generally are pretty spot on. For this review though, I think you're really, almost severely underplaying just how strong this aircraft is relevent to its competition, and comparisons to the F-5C make little sense outside of the fact that they're both premiums.
Firstly, the F-5C is a multi-role support fighter, while the Draken is an Air superiority fighter through and through. It's very important to point out to your viewerbase that the expectation when flying a Draken is to dominate the enemy team's air superiority fighters, whilst the F-5C is supposed to support and supplement its teams air superiority fighters. They're two very seperate aircraft with different performance envelopes and intended jobs. The J-35A isn't "Flawed" because it's not versatile. The F-22 Raptor isn't "Flawed" because it doesn't drop GBU's on heads. It's designed for pure air to air domination, and when it easily dominates at specifically this job, it doesn't NEED to offer CAS to be valuable.
The F-5C gets 9E tipwinders at a BR where flares are commonplace, and you can fight literal top tier. The top tier aircraft in Air RB have on average higher TtW ratios, climb rates, Rating capabilities, missile loadouts, and radar, which the F-5C lacks. The Draken is a wolf among sheep at its BR, whereas the F-5 is a support. This is an important distinction in playstyle that needs to be made very clear.
Secondly, I think your analysis of the Draken, flown under proper conditions is underplaying it. Kinematically speaking, there is no plane, NO PLANE, at its BR that can match it. Even an F-4C at 10.0 slick with only gunpod cannot kinematically match a 35A in a dogfight. The Draken isn't just agile, or fast, or well climbing, its all those things and better at them then its contemporaries. It will out VE, out Alpha, out rate, and out climb a MiG 21S under proper conditions. The idea, that this plane could rationally fit at 9.3 the same BR as an F-40 Sabre that not only cannot breach mach, but doesn't have an afterburner is insane. An F-5C at its proper turning speed at the deck, gets out alphad, and out rated by this plane. It gets out scissored. There isn't a plane that can survive a properly deployed reversal from this plane, at any battle rating. The only way you properly survive against a properly flown J35A, is if he messes up routinely, or if you have support to drain his energy, or he gets hit with a Magic 1 or R60 at below 1000km/h IAS.
This plane isn't just "Excellent", flown properly, its overpowered, reaching into broken territory. Anecdotes aren't generally appropriate when trying to prove a point, but the fact I have a 79% winrate after 130+ battles is a sign that something is fucking WRONG with this plane. I would strongly urge any reader of this comment, to think deeply about the potential a plane with this level of kinematic performance is capable of if you are even reasonably disciplined or experienced at flying jets in this game. It is probably the most overpowered aircraft I have flown in a long, long time.
Exactly what I was thinking 30 matches into playing the MiG-19. If the Farmer is considered a REALLY good plane for its BR, then what the hell is the J35A capable of? It doesn't have as strong of engines or as of fast climb rate, but it's pretty damn close! Also can outrun the Farmer by a huge margin based on what I've merely observed. Add in the sweet Swedish 30mm, 4 AIM-9Bs, and the best overall control of any jet at that BR, and you've got a plane that can slap the competition without even getting its hands dirty.

This thing is brutal. Yes, it's hard to recommend for someone who has to rely on space bar skills with already stupendously good F-5C to grind anything, sure. But these people should not really go to tier 6 yet, they just aren't ready for that environment and will be much better off grinding at a lower BR with an easier plane to learn.
But give this thing to a person who has more than a year jet experience and more than two brain cells, and things will become EXTREMELY dirty!
You see, while I still think that putting supersonic aircraft like Lightning, MiG-21F and alike to 9.7-9.3 was a MAJOR mistake, they at least either had a trash cannon or handle like a whale, so they are not capable of singlehandedly wiping the entirety of enemy team.
This thing, however, not only is fast and carries 4 missiles to force a turn, but it also has outright the best maneuverability in game, coupled with a pair of ADENs. Any jet fighter main who knows BFM and at good terms with energy management would be seal clubbing there.
I am a good duelist. Theoretically I can try to rate fight a brain dead Draken in a CL13Mk6 of MiG-17/minfuel15bis, but only a Draken which is silly enough to dump all his speed and if I dodge the attack. In this case, maybe it's possible. But anything else is outright incapable of fighting it. And if Draken is smart, as every tier 6 plane owner has to be, there is no counter to it at all. What the hell am I supposed to do against a Draken in a 8.3 aircraft? Take some random F9F, what can they do? This thing is twice as fast, it turns circles around them, it outguns them in a head on, and even acceleration is not bad in comparison with those Korean War era jets. There is just no way around that.
Asking for 9.3 just because "nuuu it duznt kerry muh bombz" is outright moronic. This is a dedicated air dominance fighter, deal with it. If you think it should go to 9.3, you might as well ask 9.3 for the J35D. Hecc, JA37C does not carry bombs, let's put it to 9.0 to give it 10/10, shall we? WTF is this scale btw? If the aircraft is OP, that's BAD: it's bad for the people in matches with it, it's bad in the long term for those who buy them as inexperienced player in the long run, it's bad for the community and as the result, it's bad for the game. OP = 0/10.
This thing is much worse than 104s and what not, because it isn't just a supersonic pencil, it's freaking angry doritto which outruns, outguns and outturns everybody, so there is nothing you can rely on in a fight against it.

2022 update, had the plane since it came out. This plane is by far my best premium and i have most of top tier premium jets. Now unlike other planes such as A-5 that are more usable for new players, the J35A is purely a skill based plane for experienced jet players as its hard to use but if you know how to fly this plane you will rack up kills like no buisness even using the aim 9Bs

@@ErikMoroni j35A wastes energy really fast but that can be beneficial in my opinion. Mig 21s and 19s you emcounter have only 2 silimar rockets and thr latter cant keep up with your speed. Maneuverability? This turns slower than almost any jet I encounter. I wouldn't recommend this vehicle as it has sloppy mechanics, missiles which you cant rely on, cannons are useless, mediocre agility and maneuverability the list goes on...
I think they altered the turning capabilities of this plane since it was released. Because I just flew it and saw the same.

It's not great right now, but I think that's largely because so many other planes get a huge boost in maneuverability, so that the J35A doesn't stand out as much. Additionally, the 30mm cannons take forever to do in-air reloads, which is a huge disadvantage compared to fast firing 20mm cannons.
@@Tankenstein It looses too much speed for Ab standarts. That fact alone combined with the really bad MER is making it very unreliable and matchmaking dependend in AB. It has 0 chance against any capable pilots in AB in a comparable plane. The accuracy on the akans isnt really that great, but that is because of the placement of the guns. If find your content great, but when it comes to the performance, sometimes i don´t know where your resume comes from. Definetly not worth it at all for AB, most of the players will regret the decision to buy it if they are Arcade main.

I'm sick of seeing mach capable jets at 9.7 and below. This thing has incredible engine power and turn rate. The argument for 9.3 is just insane to me. No reason for this thing to be anywhere lower than 10.0. Not because it's good, just because it has an incredible ceiling.
Being fast doesn't always mean you can hurt people... The j35a after its maneuver nerf shows exactly that- its a flying target below supersonic now.
